THIS FIC IS NOW COMPLETED 4/14/25, just in time for the DDBA Kastle reunion tomorrow!
Micro sends Frank to Josie’s Bar just a few minutes too late– Karen has been shot by Bullseye. Frank and Foggy take Karen to the hospital and we get some Kastle hospital scenes, except Karen is the one injured. A team of Daredevil/Punisher friends assemble to make sure she stays safe. Also, will her dad show up to check on her? Karen gets a chance to talk about her past trauma, plus lots of soft Frank not leaving her side until she’s recovered.
CHAPTER 10 is finally posted!! Things are getting dramatic. Karen is off to confront Bullseye again, this time in a protective-fabric pencil skirt and blouse (made by Melvin Potter.) There are hostages, shoot outs, explosions!
CH 11 is also up! A showdown battle in a construction site! Frank and Bullseye face off. Can Karen outsmart him in time?
CH 12-- A little gift from me to you before DDBA drops tonight! This story is almost finished. Thanks for the ride, Kastle fam!
Ch 13- Karen has some good ideas. These two finally get what they deserve.
Ch 14- An Epilogue. A road trip and some fluff.

It was wishful thinking. It had to be the truth. Glinda may not know much but she knew performance, and the more she thought about it the better it fit. Elphaba’s death didn’t make sense. Glinda had seen it with her own eyes and had stupidly believed that was proof it had happened.
Elphaba’s melting shadow had been wearing the hat. Glinda wasn’t sure of the scientification of melting, but surely either all or none of her clothes should have melted. Surely Elphaba herself shouldn’t have melted. Fiyero’s body was missing, and Elphaba’s hat was in her hands.
Glinda stared at herself in the mirror. Her eyes were bloodshot, and she realized she must have been crying. She looked crazy. It didn’t matter.

Death held compassion for this little girl who had not chosen to become a vessel of violence and death, who had not willingly chosen or caused her own tortured existence, who often suffered and caused suffering at the hands of controlling, vile men.
Rio had needed something to distract herself, a fixation, something to nurture after several long numbing decades of searching for Agatha (she was still achingly empty-handed, after all this time). Not that she would stop searching, she could multitask.
Death did not expect to get so attached to another mortal.
