    “I have no secrets to hide,” Liu Qingge says, and lifts his chin challengingly at Shen Qingqiu, who bristles in return. “Do you?”

    “Ah, Liu-shidi, if you don’t have any secrets then you should get some real quick!” Shang Qinghua says with bright, manic cheer, his smile and his eyes a little too wide. “The consequences for not meeting the curse’s requirements would be very very bad!”

    Actually, it was very easy to imagine Shen Qingqiu raising a child of his own. It was only that before, Luo Binghe didn't see himself fitting anywhere into that picture. He didn’t want to be a distant, callous, somewhat terrifying father, yet what else could he turn out like? But if he could be like his mama… if he could be a good mother, the idea of his and shizun’s family getting bigger suddenly didn't seem all that impossible.
    The thought settled as a warm weight inside his chest, to later sprout into something more.
