He’s almost expecting Valentino to start yelling at him right then and there. He doesn't. It throws Marc off when he just rolls his eyes and says in an almost joking tone “Let an old man dream.” The silence is back, Marc goes to shut the door, testing is over. He has an early flight to catch tomorrow he doesn’t have the time to waste on Valentino anymore.
Valentino sticks his foot in the door like a cockroach that just won't die. “I come in peace.”
