Robin laughs to herself as she pushes off from the wall and sets out across the living room to the glint of red hair that she had noticed. There’s a warm burn in her chest at the idea of reciprocation of feelings that doesn’t have to be even more secret than necessary. The idea of someone, despite everything, giving all of themselves to Robin and accepting all of her in return. The idea of not having to pretend that she’s happy with the bare minimum. Nancy’s bashful smile flashes through her mind just as she catches sight of Vickie and Robin shoves it down with such force that she only feels determination coursing through her instead of her usual fear and awkwardness.
