It’s a Sunday afternoon and Akechi Goro is in his shitty apartment, sprawled on his couch, when he makes a horrible discovery.
A re-run of Featherman is playing on his thrifted TV. Mid ad-break, he turns on his phone and sees a very familiar app, sitting there on the home page innocently as though last time it had appeared out of nowhere it hadn’t ruined Goro’s life. He had been sipping on disgusting instant coffee, which he spills all over his pants from the shock.
Not because he’s clumsy, obviously.
His right eye twitches. He opens the app, and reads the words: Amamiya Ren, Tokyo, Shrine.

full.blown sobbing. no kidding this fic hurts a lot. whenever i come back to read this masterpiece, it always hits hard. the ADA as family will always be precious to me :(( i love how you wrote fukuzawa's pov!! his stage of denial and how he still hoped that dazai would come back... it's heartbreaking esp the scene with how he ended up arguing against yosano and seeing chuuya in the room with dazai... ough op, i will never forget about this fic. it left a huge impression on me. i will always love dad fukuzawa and now, i shall let my tears fall.

LITERALLY cried the whole time i'm reading this, like my heart shattered into tiny pieces that's all over the place. IT'S JUST THAT PHENOMENAL. I LOVEEE every scene when fukuzawa hunted him down it's like. fr telling dazai that he won't back down no matter what and i think it's beautiful to see his dedication on helping dazai in his journey of discovering the joy of life. what stabbed my heart the most is def the nightmare with oda in it. the horror of it... like when odasaku said "but your hands are so bloody, dazai. how will you ever get rid of all the blood?" LIKE IT REALLY JUST HIT WHERE IT HURTS. this fic is fr a rollercoaster of mixed emotions because even when they're having bonding moment, i couldn't stop crying because ough... dazai finally knew how it feels to be loved again... thank you author for creating this masterpiece. i will never forget rhis.
