Summary

After years of snappy banter and secret pining, Kuroo's finally decided to ask Daichi out on a date, and he’s not nervous. At all. Really.
He pulls Daichi aside and leans in close. “So, Sa’amura –“
Just then Daichi’s phone rings. “One second, Kuroo, I have to take this,” He turns away from Kuroo slightly. “Hey,” his face softens and Kuroo’s heart skips a beat.
“Uh-huh…yeah…meet us at the bar in like 20 minutes? Okay, see you there…yeah, I can’t wait to see you too.”
“Who was that?”
Daichi puts his phone away and blushes slightly. “That’s my girlfriend, Keiko. She couldn’t make it to the game, but she’s going to meet us at the bar.”
Kuroo wheezes and turns it into a cough. “Oh. Um, congratulations."

As those deep eyes fell partway hooded, the taller man spoke. The move was bold, but Meian would do anything not to sound nervous. He was having easily the best date of his life, and it was like he had known Daichi forever. "Me, too. And by the way,” he smiled, lopsided and charming, “you should call me Shūgo."“Only if you call me Daichi.” The shorter brunette said; and without thinking and riding this wave of confidence that had just burst up, he slid his phone with a new contact open, awaiting the other man’s information. “Also, you can just call me.”
