Summary
Hawks' mistake was leaving his jacket behind for anyone to pick up and take. He'd been arrogant to think no creature would be stupid enough to mess with his stuff. It was foolish of him to forget that Dabi is exactly that type of creature. But really, how was he supposed to know he'd go into heat? There are ongoing bets on wether the guy is an alpha or beta. Omega isn't even an option!
Yet that's how Hawks finds him, sitting there wrapped in Hawks' jacket, well into preheat and looking like the cat that got the cream.
Hawks blinks and finds himself hovering over Dabi. They are in the omega's nest and Dabi looks... his lips are bitten red, cheeks flushed, chest heaving... he looks debauched.
...he's still wearing Hawks' jacket.

To be fair, that’s the least pressing issue at the moment. Top of that list would be the absolutely excruciating pain in forearm and, oh yeah, the fact that people are shooting at him.
(Well past the age where most people have swapped bodies with their soulmate, Alex has all but given up on the idea that he might have one. And in the middle of all this chaos sits Henry, on their cold kitchen floor with a broken bowl in front of him, failing to put the remnants back into another bowl as tears stream down his face.
“What in God’s name are you doing, H?” Alex asks incredulously.
The other's head whips up at Alex’s voice and his wet eyes grow large as saucers before a dark blush heats up his cheeks.
“Making a cake.” He answers clipped.
Alex chuckles in disbelief. “Sweetheart, you have never once in your life even attempted to make a cookie, how on earth did you think making a cake in the middle of the night while being drunk was a good idea?” And well, Alex did just answer his own question, didn’t he? Vodka makes Henry do dumb stuff.
Henry mumbles something unintelligible as another stray tear escapes his eye. Alright, Alex is officially worried. Something is definitely wrong. Why is Henry not talking to him?
Or a Roommate AU in which both of them are pining idiots, Henry thinks Alex is straight, Alex really really isn't, and a failed birthday cake brings out some much needed truths.
