    For a moment, nobody spoke, and then soon after, everybody spoke. “Who’s got it?” they asked. “Who?” Everyone looked at each other’s papers, looking for something that the Baudelaires didn’t know about. Then a rather mean-spirited girl named Carmelita Spats bounded over to them, looked at the paper in Monty’s hand, and shrieked, “It’s Montgomery! Dr. Montgomery’s got it!”

    or, the baudelaires are sent to live in the quaint little town of VFD, which has an interesting tradition taking place every june 27th.
