Hermione is absolutely not surprised when Cormac McLaggen bluntly tells her:

It’s a quarter to six on a Friday evening and Hermione is tired, tired of everything and everyone and she cannot wait to go home to her cat, her stock of tea and her books. A nasty reply is already on the tip of her tongue, her hand hoovering near the pocket where she keeps her wand, several hexes already on the forefront of her mind.
What is surprising, so surprising it leaves her speechless, it’s when Draco Malfoy speaks before she can.

Summary
Five years after the war, Hermione Granger has very little time for something like a relationship. She's far too busy trying to run the Bureau for Endangered Creatures efficiently, dealing with budget cuts and ignorant ministry officials and finding a way to somehow restore her parents' memories, who are still in Australia and none the wiser about the existence of their daughter.
When she discovers that the Wizengamot plans to use Draco Malfoy as a scapegoat whilst dealing with elusive Voldemort loyalists, she offers to testify for him. She's not quite sure how it led to her trying on wedding dresses under the watchful eye of Narcissa Malfoy.

“Welcome, Darlings,” Pansy says, a voice enhancing charm making it so everyone can hear her.
“Tonight we have a few new guests I’d like to personally welcome to this soirée,” Pansy winks at Hermione, who feels her cheeks heat under the unwanted attention. “For those of you who don’t know, the rules of the party are simple. Every wizard puts his key into this bowl,” Pansy holds up a glass bowl and spins in a circle, showing it to everyone in attendance. “From there, every witch picks a key. Whosever key you choose is your partner for the evening to do with as you wish.”
Hermione gasps and glances over toward her best friend. “Ginny! Why didn’t you tell me this was a key party?!”
“Because I wanted to see the look on your face.”
