Summary
Stunned into silence, all he can do is blink. If he’d thought his original request was a hard sell, the alternative would have been completely impossible. He’s surprised she’s even smiling at him, because he wants it. Fuck, he wants it; she’s struck a match to reignite his worst cravings.
But he pretends his chest isn’t tight, that his skin doesn’t itch while thinking of the needs he’d boxed up over a year ago. He makes her persuade him, playing the fool, going “Are you sure?” and “You think it'll be fun?” and “Well, go easy on me”, despite how tempted he is to offer himself up immediately. If she sees right through him, like she always does, he’ll at least get a few points for trying.

Waiting, though for what, he’s not quite sure. A call to action, his cue in a play he does not have the script for. It shouldn’t matter. He’s good at improvising
A slow smile spreads across Louis’s lips, small and almost hesitant. He tucks his hands into his pockets, tilts his head boyishly.
“You gonna stand there all night, or are you gonna come over here and kiss me?” Louis says, a teasing lilt to his voice.
Louis invites Armand in.

Armand does not look at him.
“Get out,” the vampire hisses, his bloody mouth only an inch from his bloody wrist. Hunched over like a creature. A wounded one, but a predator nonetheless.
In which Daniel walks in on Armand finding comfort in his own blood shortly after Louis leaves the penthouse.
