So really, truly, Jackie wasn’t much different from the girls in her grade, at least on the surface. Jackie tries to ignore her big, massive problem that can’t seem to go away since it looms over her like a constant shadow and seemingly always finds a way to steadily crawl into her life and inconvenience her. Her inconvenience just so happens to emerge in the full moon's light. For most, the full moon isn’t much, but for Jackie, it’s the thing she plans her entire schedule around as well as dreads the most. Since, yeah, Jackie lied, she isn’t like most girls by a long shot. Ever since the summer of 1994, Jackie’s been hiding a colossal secret from everyone: she’s a werewolf.

Summary
