They were dancing. It wasn’t unusual for them these days. What was more unusual, though, was the absolute ease in which they graced the crowded patio of the Cuban restaurant. After three years on the run, which consisted of far more carefree mornings on the terrace and comfortable evenings by the fire than would be expected, they had yet to fully test the waters of the public sphere.
Hannibal & Will are settled in Cuba after the events of the Dragon. They go out dancing one night and end up catapulting their relationship into brand new territory.

Summary
“I’m pregnant.”
Margot’s mouth fell open. They were both at a loss for clever words.
After maybe a full minute of silence, Margot stumbled out: “You told me–”
“I know,” Will said, and then he had to look away from her. “I know. Turns out we both need to go back to sex ed because, as I was recently reminded by a very kind nurse practitioner, hormones are not birth control.”
Margot remained silent.
“You can’t believe how much of an idiot I feel like.”
“A very fertile idiot,” Margot murmured.
Will choked out a hysterical laugh and looked up to see Margot staring out the windshield into the middle distance.
There was another long stretch of silence. Will couldn’t do anything but scrub his hands over his face, hunched over in the patent leather seat.
“Are you thinking about keeping it?”
Will laughed again, his eyes burning and his heart pounding somewhat wildly in his chest. “I can’t be pregnant right now. I really can’t be pregnant right now.”

Will unknowingly conceives a child. Hannibal prompts Mason Verger to do away with it. But if it was Will’s uterus that was removed, not Margot’s, would Hannibal have been as satisfied with the result?

Although chapped, Will's lips held a suppleness to them, drawing their receiver in for another bite.Hannibal couldn't help it. The unfiltered rage that lashed at him when Will declared his advances on Alana and how she was "very kissable."
