Days go by, Kaminari makes a choice. He apologies a week later after the incident, and Kyouka starts spilling out apologies. She starts explaining why she ran out and why she didn't answer him. Kaminari gets it now she was scared.
Kaminari gets that—he does, but he also doesn't want to ruin his friendship with Kyouka, but he also wants to take a risk. So, he asks her again, instead of expecting a no—she said yes. Now, this would've been the opening to a kiss, but—instead, he pulls out his pinkie.
"I promise to stay with you forever," he says to her. She blushes, then smiles and hooks her pinkie to his, "And I to you."

The doctor had explained that her quirk was no longer the same. Her quirk had been manipulated, changed in a way. There were so many thoughts running through her head, but everything looked like a blur. All she could think about were her hands.
