Summary

’’So, what troubles you, Eve?’’ The woman started. She always started this way. Although Eve felt a pang of shame - this woman had cared to learn her name but she couldn’t return the favour. The shame quickly subsided.
’’My mother’s sick.’’ She said simply. She didn’t want to elaborate on the details - not because it was painful or difficult but because it did not trouble her at all.
’’I’m sorry to hear that.’’ The woman responded, nodding her head sympathetically.
“I’m worried that she won’t leave the estate to me in her will.’’ Eve continued.
The woman pursed her lips. “I see. You want to know whether you will be left anything.’’

Set in Victorian London - Eve is set to inherit a vast amount of wealth and assets once her mother passes from her terminal illness. Problem is, her mother is not willing to give her anything until she’s been married. Eve decides to summon a demon in the hopes it will solve all of her problems.
