Summary
The man froze, dropping the bucket onto the sand.
Then, he let his knees hit the ground, and he pressed the button again, and again, and again. He did it until his vision blurred.
“Stanley—”
During Stanley’s first time experiencing the Epilogue, he brings both his bucket and his button back with him into the next reset. The Narrator eventually notices Stanley carrying the new button around. The employee doesn’t know how to admit that he feels sentiment over it.
