To Verosika’s credit, she wasn’t exactly wrong about the stuff she blasted him on at Ozzie’s. She didn’t flat out call him a shitty lay, just a selfish one. Which, fair enough.
So now that he’s finally, truly with Stolas, someone he does give a shit about pleasing, he’s been doing some reflecting. On his head game. Or lack thereof.

Stolas, despite his new roomates and co-workers, has never felt more alone than in the last two months.
It's getting to him. The hatred all of impkind, minus three, feels towards him. He's tried to ignore it all. The boos and jeers that follow him like shadows. The cheers that erupt whenever he so much as stumbles while out in public.
Ignoring it is not working.
His own mind is his worst enemy. The depression gnaws at him, now that he doesn't have the pills to keep it at bay. His long list of failures is a thicket of weeds, their grip tight around his neck. He can only go without air for so long before he chokes.
