Jinx smells awful, not like burnt hair but like Undercity and sweat and something nauseating he can’t pin down. Her hair is congealing at her temple with something dark, and there are scrapes all over her, up and down her. He can see the dirt and blood — he can see bark, where she must have climbed in here — how the fuck did she get in here, anyways?
How long has Jinx known? If it were the first time she’d discovered the Firelights’ hideout he’s sure she would have come on the offensive, not at a huge disadvantage like this. Why hasn’t she bombed the place?
It’s like nothing Jinx does surprises him anymore. It’s like that, but it isn’t: She’s always a surprise.
(Jinx is the last person Ekko wants at his door in the middle of the night, but it’s Ekko’s doorstep that she shows up on.)

Summary
Enforcers is an extremely simple game with extremely uncomplicated rules. Kids split themselves up into teams of Enforcers and felons on the run. Felons have to avoid being tagged and arrested. The Enforcers can do whatever they want in order to tag them. The Enforcers win when they catch and subdue the felons. The felons don’t have a win condition, they just play.
(Jinx and Vi grow up in the shadow of Piltover’s law enforcement.)

What does it mean to be the Ultimate Hope?
Is it only hope on the big scale? That the world is not so dark and depressing and destructive as the villain in front of you says it is? That you can win, even when everything else says that you can’t? That maybe it is better to live your life, even afraid, than it is to keep yourself sequestered away, alone?
Does it not also mean hope on the small scale?
Or: Makoto sacrifices himself in the hope that the other survivors might be able to help Junko. It remains to be seen whether this will actually succeed.

Summary
There are some great quick-and-dirty guides to HTML on A03. This is not one of them - it is a comprehensive guide
It's now 2025, a decade later. A03 supports some new HTML and and we're all walking around reading fic on supercomputers that fit in a jean pocket. It was time update this and take a crack at finishing it. (Links and Images are in, the new Audio and Video tags are not.)
The previous three chapters have been divided into smaller concepts. Each tag continues to have - at a minimum - a link to the w3schools page about it (so you can learn more), a code example, and the result of the code example. Most tags have their attributes, things like [src] or [title], listed and examples of how using the attributes modify the tags.
There's a chapter on Bad Ideas, including how some of the archive's default CSS is available to you to format your work (users can't turn that off by hiding a workskin!)
Oh. And I added a bunny army. You could learn how to add one too.
