Steve was going to kill Robin.
Screw Demogorgons, Demodogs, or other Demo-shit that had bled into Hawkins like a never-ending disease they had to eradicate over and over again. If it meant getting revenge on Robin, Steve would have gone through the same shit repeatedly, psychotic killer and his weird fear of music included.
