Summary
The USS Asimov is sent to Deep Space Nine to negotiate with Castellan J'mon Sa Ord, the new head of state of the even newer Cardassian Republic. Their purpose is to provide Federation aid to Cardassia after the Dominion War. For Captain Vysoren and her crew, a simple aid mission soon becomes far more when a group of ships calling themselves the Cardassian Conclave attack the station with the express purpose of assassinating the Castellan.
