Wolfwood smiles even bigger as Vash hands him Nai’s drink and another box of pastries, looking at him from over his glasses - a feat considering Vash is at least 4 inches taller than him. But something about Wolfwood makes him shrink in on himself a little bit. “Good to know I’m special to you, darlin’.” With that, he saunters off and out the door, leaving a gaping, tomato-red Vash and a hysterically laughing Meryl inside the cafe.
Vash works the morning shift at Cafe Gunsmoke. It's peaceful, until it isn't.
