This part gave me big feels:
Mike turned to him with a gentle look on his face. "Ask me." He said with a sad smile.
Tony blew out a breath and rubbed his belly some more. He stared at the fake fireplace, merrily crackling away. "What if they're stillborn?" He swallowed harshly.
Mama's second pregnancy had resulted in a stillbirth. It's why there was such an age difference between Johnny and Gianna. Bianca was actually an oops baby, It wasn't a secret, but the topic was clearly painful, and everyone respected that.
Mike sighed deeply and looked at the fire too. "Then you'll grieve." He said quietly. "You'll think of her and imagine who she would have grown to be, and you'll mourn all those moments, big and small, you'll never be able to share with her." He turned back to Tony with an intense look. "But you'll remember her. You'll keep her in your heart and love her. Because she was yours, and she mattered."
Tony's breath shuddered out of him and both men's cheeks were wet with silent tears.
"And you." His Papa jabbed a finger at him. "You'll live and keep her memory alive. And one day, it will hurt a little less. And you realise: there is a sweetness too. Because even though you only had her for a short time, you knew her, and that was a gift."
