"This is… what you really look like?" The words are barely a murmur on her lips as she moves towards him, almost dazed, like she's being drawn to him.
Jake almost flinches when she lifts her hand to his cheek, but her touch is careful, reverent.
The usual brown of his irises have been replaced by a shimmering gold with the glamour removed.
All she can think is he's so pretty.
His skin is a soft, pale yellow- not like summer, but like the warm leaves of autumn marking the change of the season.
He actually has glitter on his cheekbones, swept under his eyes, because fairies are just like that, apparently.

“You’re not a collector,” Gamora said, almost as if this was something of interest as she dragged her finger along his work table at a lackadaisical pace. Her back was still to him, head tilted at an easy angle.
She was trying to gauge him, while also putting on a display, fucking sauntering around the room and touching all his stuff like she didn’t have a care in the world.
Peter was used to it- negotiating tactics, getting a read on the other person, feeling them out before going into business details. There’s no way he could do what he did if he couldn’t recognize the same in someone else. That much at least was straight forward.
While her actions and attitude were familiar, almost routine by now for a new working relationship like this, her comment was… unexpected.
A slight frown tugged at his lips before he slipped back into the easy mask of cocky and irreverent scoundrel.
“Thought you were here for a thief,” Peter reminded her with a smirk.

"Just listen, baby." His voice is soft, low in her ear, soothing and invigorating all at once. All of him is a calming influence when she's so worked up like this, sitting in his lap and wrapped up in his warmth. She was getting there, grinding against his thigh, head tipped forward and buried in his neck as her pace turned frantic- desperate.
Then Peter's hands were on her hips, guiding her into slowing down. Forcing her to slow down, really. His grip was firm as he took the reins, dragging her against his thigh in smooth, drawn out motions- a far cry from when she was rutting against him just a minute ago.
Gamora wanted to whine, to protest this change, needing more than this. But it felt too good to do anything but whimper into his skin.
Peter's lips skated her ear, his breath rustling her hair. "See, that's good, right?"
Gamora bit her lip, weakly nodding into him. It felt so good.Series

Peter's good at fiddling with stuff.
Not necessarily fixing, but fiddling.
He can work with the things that want to be fixed, and find what wants to be found, but sometimes objects are just plain out non-cooperative. He thinks he'd run a repair shop if broken things weren't so fickle.
That's the thing about antiques. Old things usually want to be fixed. And even when they don't, all sorts will come into the shop and purposely buy something full well knowing it will never work again.
He's learned to not force things- not if he wants to keep all his fingers intact. You haven't met a malfunctioning device until you met one that was maliciously malfunctioning.
So he keeps his fingers ready to pick up what they will, fiddle and tweak whatever he can get his hands on, careful to listen closely for the signs of impatience, the shaking and movements that meant his intervention wouldn't be tolerated much longer. He would never change something that didn't want to be changed, broken or not.Series

“Oh, do that one next,” Gamora said, pointing to the thumbnail of another generically named After Dentist Wisdom Teeth Removal - lolololol video that looked promising.
From what she understood, the human boy sitting beside her was extremely technologically adept by Terran standards, and the planet as a whole had made large technological advancements since the 1980s, including the touch pad screen that they were watching videos on now.
The Avenger’s Peter looked remarkably similar to her own Peter, and she half wondered if her Peter looked the same when he was 17. He was the youngest Avenger she had met, and by far the most enthusiastic about her and the other Guardians being aliens.
All of his teammates were released from the medical facility by now, but still he chose to just hang out with Gamora, asking her lots of questions between the funny videos.(The story of how Peter Parker bonds with Gamora by showing her youtube videos of people high after dental operations, and their resulting friendship. Also, Peter Quill is accidentally exposed to what’s basically space catnip in the background, but that’s neither here nor there.)

There's a sharp intake of breath from beside him before Gamora started weakly hitting his arm to get his attention.
“Peter, I want it,” she said, staring straight ahead. Her eyes were impossibly wide, her voice hushed in that way that reminded him of a kid that was too excited and completely overwhelmed, with that quiet bit of wonder that made it seem like they were seconds away from shutting down in the face of something too amazing to process.
He looked over and followed her gaze to find what had her all worked up. Safe to say he was surprised to find that Gamora was staring at a cat. A kitten, to be more accurate.
Even though she had his full attention, she hadn't stopped tap tap tapping on his upper arm with her whole hand, insistent as she marveled at the creature she couldn't seem to look away from.
He looked back and forth between Gamora and the animal she was staring at. Then he squinted at her. “You want one of those?”
Gamora nodded, turning to him expectantly. “Go get me that black one. We have a connection. It wants to come home with us.” -
