Avians. They come from an ancient bloodline of winged creatures.
But when they start being hunted down for their feathers proven to have healing properties, they are forced to interbreed with ordinary humans to survive and keep their species - or a mixed species of them - alive. Few pure Avians remain. But they are forced into hiding, prized for their healing properties that are superior to other Avians'...
Avians were born to fly.
But sometimes, they don't - or they can't, for fear of being hunted down and captured...
edit 8/8/24: this is about four years old, lol. i've redone a tiny bit (some obvious grammar mistakes, some extremely clunky sentences, and so on) and am planning to edit that chapter by chapter but i'm not planning to continue it. just a heads up! :)

People see Wilbur as the manipulator, the one who can make people cower and tremble with just a few words. The one who can get anyone to do his work for him, to do what he wants them to without them suspecting that the idea was not theirs at all. The one who can plant thoughts, dangerous thoughts, in someone's head, and can make them question every aspect of their lives that had been certainties before.
This is true.
But they think that Wilbur had taught himself this, that he had learnt from experience and experimentation and instinct.
This is not true.
Phil taught Wilbur everything he knows.

Summary
Okay. I was just looking at a prompt generator and thinking 'wow that's funny I want to share that'. So these prompts are just from an incorrect prompt generator, except, for the first bit, it's Hermitcraft members, and the second bit is me and my friends (I'm Alpha, by the way. Would have thought it was obvious). Also, a lot of the prompts are tweaked, added to, or combined to make it longer, so it won't be the exact same. It will be in script form and have the appropriate punctuation, spelling, blah blah blah.
There is swearing (mostly censored with asterisks), so watch out for that. Each oneshot will range from a few sentences to four hundred or so words. I won't put notes/summaries on every chapter just because that's a pain.

Summary
Eret, Son of Eret, has been welcomed into the village of Berk and given the care of the dead chief's dragon. He doesn't realize how awkward that might be until his old ship has sailed off far beyond the horizon, leaving him far behind.
For an outsider, secrets that are well-hidden seem obvious in the light of day. Things that Berk thought long-buried are brought to light, sometimes kicking and screaming.
Eret just wanted to integrate into his new home. He didn't expect his definition of 'home' to center around more than a place, but a person.
