It's night, dark and quiet when he rushes down the corridor, a room number scribbled messily on his hand. He stops at the door to catch his breath when a hand lands on his shoulder, and he turns to see Rossi standing there, a strange look on his face he cannot read. Before he can ask, Dave speaks.
"She's still asleep," he says and then continues when he sees a concerned frown on his friend's face. "Sedatives. She needs her rest. It's good to see you, by the way."
