In English folklore, the Apple Tree Man is the name given to the spirit of the oldest apple tree in an orchard, and in whom the fertility of the orchard is thought to reside. Tales abound around this mysterious fae, who is known to share gifts and blessings with humans that give offerings. But as with any fae, caution is advised before accepting any gifts, lest a blessing become a debt. Be sure to leave three apples on each tree, one for the fairy, one for the fae and one for the Apple Tree Man.
