Summary
Hawks should never have had any pack (or should he say flock?) cravings.
That’s only natural because Keigo Takami has never experienced family or just belonging to a group of people that he could call that. He’s done some terrible things too, most recently to his friend, a companion of his alpha, so he’s on the right track to being a terrible father – as genetics would suggest as well. He always assumed he would never feel the need for something he couldn’t understand in the slightest.
And consciously, he didn’t.
So, in his defense, he never even thought he could lock a knot.

Summary
"Dabi… this is wrong," Keigo slurs, his brain turning to mush and his mind slipping, the hands coasting his sides too big, too real to be an hallucination, or a trick from Dabi.
It would be easier to say that the demon now living in Touya's body had cast a spell on him, but Keigo knows who's the only one to blame here: himself.
He should have guessed that falling in love with Touya would be a terrible curse to live with, but he had planned on getting over his one-sided crush (he had to, what other choice did he have?) before everything went downhill.
Now it’s too late for that.

Fascinating how desperate Keigo is to have Touya, how much he's willing to compromise to finally get that. The lines between Touya and Dabi get often blurred, leaving you wonder just how much of the human is within the demon. Tragically romantic for PWP, lost chances, a possessed body claiming possession over a human, flashbacks that suggest a lot of untold story to tickle curiosity. Enjoyable for reading and rereading. In which Hawks finally arrests Dabi, who promptly tries to talk his way out of his handcuffs and into Hawks' pants.

Hanahaki is, after all, a fairly obscure condition.
The circumstances needed for someone to be susceptible to the strange and mostly unexplained phenomenon is rather specific. The sort of environment someone has to have grown up in, to yearn so much for love that it makes the fabric of their very body mutate into something that slowly kills you? It's not something most people experience.

Hawks makes another face. “Where does one…file taxes?”
