Summary
Kara returns from a week long journey aiding another county fire, and she's worse for wear. Lena wastes no time showing her just how much she missed her. In the process, they learn more about each other than either of them realize, including what unadulterated love feels like. But, without so much as a day off, Kara's asked on call and lands herself in Lena's workplace: the hospital. Emotions collide and revelations are brought to light, but what does that mean for Kara and Lena?
Part 6 of "Your Love Was Home", a mature retelling of my original, unfinished story, "Some Things Are Meant to Be". It's best to read the other installments of this series to fully understand what's going on and the scope of things, but it's not required.
