    Unexpected continuation of the Chains of Light Series! For anyone from Kingdom Hearts here, there isn't much, but Chains of Light is a Kingdom Hearts series, so I tagged it as such. For Exocolonist fans who saw a fic and just want something to read, there isn't much Kingdom Hearts actually involved in this story, and though if you want to read the rest of the series I'm going to link it in the Author's Notes, I don't think it's going to be mandatory.

    After the events of The Undone, the worlds have settled into a tentative peace. Well, for all but two seeming enemies. Solace and Tori--one, whose world was long ago erased, the other, whose world was erased trying to return to his own. Neither seem to have a way home...or do they?

    Where Tori goes, magic seems to happen, and Tori has chosen to take her attention to Solace's past: a world called Vertumna, a universe erased from existence due to overuse of the Power of Choice; and Tori is willing to put aside her past for a chance to start new.

    Or; I've had a character named Solace for a long time, I discovered Exocolonist recently, and Sol looks almost exactly like Solace in my brain barring hair color, plus the name coincidence, so this happened.

    Akio wakes up after the injuries inflicted by Solace...The Real Akio. Turned out, that the Akio who led the story was a front--a separate facet of his heart...that had to sacrifice himself to stop the Real Akio from dying.
    Akio wakes up forced into a life that he isn't used to. He hasn't been himself for a few years, and his family knows the 'Other Akio', not him...How can he face a life he never had? How can he accept that the 'Other him' and Yami sacrificed themselves so that he could live?

    Instead of winding up in Quadratum, Sora reaches the end of the Final World and meets a sea. He pushes onward into it, thinking he'll never see the real world again. Instead, he washes up upon the shore of a strange island that appears as though someone's been living there, but no one is home. Happy to see signs of someone else around, he waits in hopes the person will return.
    Haruka, the inhabitant of the island, is out at sea in search of her way to the Destiny Islands, where she washed up from when she was a child, when she pulls Riku out of the depths. Riku, her twin brother, who forgot about her the same as everyone else on the islands.
    She takes him back to shore--where Sora is waiting. Three paths crossed again through fate...can they work together to find their way back to the Realm of Light?
    (This whole thing was inspired by a weird, unhinged dream. Don't question it too much. Posted in parts rather than chapters, as chapters don't work well with it.)

    Well, Luxu isn't letting him go anywhere, so might as well try to figure out what happened to Ava in the breaking of the timeline. That gives some direction to head...

    Emi lives a normal life in Twilight Town--or so she thinks. Suddenly faced by having lived in an illusion for most of her life, Emi is thrust out into reality and onto a journey to rescue missing Keyblade Masters. With the help of Lea, she finds out just how much she was wrong about, and begins to learn about reality.
    Jet was sent to keep Emi in an illusion for her own protection from Origin, a being made of the memories of someone long gone. Origin had captured all the Masters, but with Kingdom Key missing, he is one Keyblade short of seven. It was for this reason that Emi was taken into protection. When Emi leaves the illusion, Jet is faced with death--until Origin takes it from him.
    Emi must rescue her best friend along with everyone else, while struggling to learn to exist in reality.

    Edit: Please read--I am removing the old version from this. However, I am leaving the rewrites here on this, since I have already posted half of the rewritten story. I decided it is enough to have the old version available for myself, and I am more comfortable this way. I am switching this back to incomplete status in the meantime.   8. Power of Memories: Good Timeline Continuation by

    After the battle with Solace was over, Akio was still broken, and even when he awoke, something is still missing. He realizes that he was the original Akio, but the one who took his place for him is gone. He cannot fill his place, no matter how hard he tries, and things end up boiling over. However, after the chaos, he begins to form his own, new life, allowing his relationship with Tori to grow.
    However, that piece that held his place wanders the Final World. Taking on the name 'Akihiko' when he finds out there is someone in his place, he fights to find his way back home, knowing that though he has no memory of such, he isn't the first Akio.
    In a twist of fate, Akihiko makes it home. Pieces all back in place, both their lives can resume.
    AKA, Akihiko survives and Akio doesn't fall on the path to become the Master of Masters.
    (This story is never going to end, so this is really just a brief summary of what's happened so far/will continue to take place. As stated, this story will never end. The Good Timeline stuff will be placed here. The 'canon' timeline...well, that's a story for another day.)

    Sora is finally home, but isn't the same as when he left. How could he be, really? Not when he wandered the Final World for so long aimlessly. He had honestly given up on coming home. It felt like forever. Coming back and finding out it had only been a couple of years was a shock.
    But fortunately, Rage had saved him, and now Rage was with him, Riku, and Kairi. It'd take some time to fill in the blanks, but at least he had someone who was still part of his heart that could speak for him when he couldn't. But would it be right to tell them that they had all died once, and that he never expected to come home because he knew he had done too much?

    On Rage's end, adjusting to living is difficult, but at least there are things like sunrises to keep things pleasant. He had asked for this body; he wasn't going to complain. He'd just stand up for Sora when he couldn't. At least Riku was nice now, and Kairi was nice, and Sora was nice...
    But how long can he stay, really? After all, he is Sora's shadow, and he always saved him, no matter what. No matter what happened, he would save him still.

Soon, however, Sora, Riku, and Kairi are called upon to find other missing Keyblade Wielders. Not willing to leave their children behind, Akio and Haru are brought along for the journey, along with a stowaway. What shows hope to be a simple trip to keep a family together turns to tragedy with the arrival of a mysterious man known as Solace, who has come to prove that not all light is good.     Long ago, a kingdom fell to the Heartless and into the Realm of Darkness-the only survivor was the queen--a Princess of Heart named Lucidia. Her name meant emptiness, and that was all she knew--stuck in the Realm of Darkness with no living connection to the light, she watched over her empty kingdom.
    Post Through Oblivion I Will Find What's Mine, Vanitas gets trapped within the Realm of Darkness and happens upon the fallen kingdom, and Lucidia within. When Lucidia says his name, it feels right--like he will be okay, and that together, they can get back to the light. Right?

    Axel, Isa, Roxas, and Xion get a new neighbor. Though there’s something vaguely familiar about this young woman, none of them can place what it might be.
    Demyx was who he didn’t want to be again, who he had given up his heart a second time to get away from, but with Xehanort gone, he was back to the person he once was…‘Mina’, the name he was given by his parents, a young woman living on the streets of Twilight Town. But when he finally saves up enough money for a roof over his head, the last thing he expects is his next-door neighbors to be familiar faces that wouldn’t recognize his own. With his secret in jeopardy, can he stay away? Or will these old comrades draw him in with their new-found kindness and open hearts to give him something he had never had before?

  14. I'll Find You Somewhere by

    After a year of searching for Sora, Riku and Kairi find a way to hopefully form a link to him to follow--or just summon him outright. It doesn't go as planned, however, and instead they end up with Sora's shadow in front of them: Rage. Rage who really isn't happy to see Riku. However, Rage isn't one for sitting around and planning. Now free from the crystal that holds Sora, he sets out on his own to find save him--after all, he feels his failure was the cause of Sora being lost in the first place. Roxas and Xion want in on the journey, and Rage doesn't care either way--at least they know Sora.

    Meanwhile, Glau has been stuck in the Final World for ages, having used the Power of Waking to save his world from eternal sleep in the form of a video game. Yozora has been searching for Glau--the reason he went through the trials, the reason he fought Sora--why he was told to 'Save Sora' by fighting him. Save Sora, save Glau. Waking up back in Skyline City, Yozora is furious at whatever 'lied' to him.

    It wasn't a lie so much as a lack of description of the truth.

    Sora faces a new life without a Keyblade, finding his own path to follow. Though his heart begins full of sorrow, hope arrives thanks to friends old and new. A new ally gives hope for a safe and better future—one where he will not be lost.
    New faces arrive on the scene, refugees from the future that isn’t. Their stories are each their own (and touched on in ‘The Lost Bits’) But not all are friends—and friends can become foes.

    After the worlds are saved from Ansem SoD, Kairi and Riku were once again separated from Sora, who was sent back to the Destiny Islands while his friends are out saving the worlds from a new threat-Organization XIII. Kairi and Riku are not likely to believe Solace's word that Sora went home and put it upon themselves to search for him.

    Solace, the man who set this timeline in motion rescues Namine from Castle Oblivion and sets a task upon her-stop Xion from fighting Kairi, as she, Roxas, and herself are all anomalies in this timeline.

When her world is destroyed, Kairi is forced to face strange new worlds without her best friends by her side and only two strangers named Donald and Goofy to help her along the way through countless worlds in search of Riku and Sora. Fate is a hard thing to change, and once changed, it can never go back.
