With a crown held up by rage and experimental policy, Anya rules Ostania by being the smartest, the scariest, and the least interested in anyone’s opinion, whilst Damian clings to alcohol, dignity, and the fervent hope that treason counts as a love language. They’re trying very hard (not at all) to not kiss.
Becky has declared herself “Empress’ Best Friend”, and nobody’s corrected her yet. Franky and Loid keep the empire steady with paperwork and scheduled mental breakdowns. Yor is thrilled there’s a baby. Demetrius, of course, is scheming.
They could make peace or out-petty each other into a second war. Either way, it's romantic.

On that November Night, Donovan Desmond was stabbed to death with a ball point pen. The suspect was found on scene, 18 year old Anya Forger, holding the murder weapon sat limp in a chair unresponsive and covered in a mix of her own and Donovan's blood. Days later she confessed to the crime. Damian never moved past that, he tried to rewrite history, say he always hated her, but fate ensured that he would have to face her.

For 6 years Anya was forced to play both sides in the east verses west conflict after Donovan found out of her real identity and forced her to comply. Trying her best to help Twilight get rid of Desmond, while staying in the graces of her ‘owner.’ The stress, fear, and anxiety got to her, she was already slipping until one day she broke. Now Damian is left to pick up the broken pieces
