Summary
That night, as Yoongi looks out through the window, the light from the tower again flashes on the pier. This time he sees silhouettes walking from the bus stop out to the ferry, and a tall figure ushering them on. It’s strange that the ferry sat empty all day, and now the boat is completely full of passengers. Where are they all going this time of night?
Yoongi watches until the ferry departs, the boat getting smaller and smaller each time the light rotates around until it eventually disappears altogether into the horizon line.

Yoongi inherits a lighthouse post from his estranged uncle. He intends to write his third book and enjoy the solitude. He doesn't intend to meet ferryman Kim Seokjin, or to fall in love with him. But he can't help it, even as he discovers just where Seokjin really takes his ferry's passengers.

Jimin lifted his head up with an automatic smile when the door swished open, dust gusting inside from the strong winds common to the outpost. His eyes widened a little at the six angry-looking men who stomped inside, but didn’t let the smile slip from his face. Travelers, obviously. Ones who weren’t having a good time. Well, it was to be expected on Mu 75.
“Good afternoon,” Jimin said, ducking his head in greeting and drawing their attention, and maybe some of their ire, to himself. “Can I help you with anything?” From their clothes and the advanced-looking tech of the weapons at their hips, Jimin was assuming they could pay. They had better.

A man peers at Namjoon over the top of his cubicle. He has an elegantly curving nose and high cheekbones, and wears a very loudly orange t-shirt with a crossbody bag that seems too small to be practical.
“Do you know where Min Yoongi’s office is?” He whispers.
“Uh,” Namjoon responds at full volume. “You don’t really have to whisper. We may work with books, but it’s not a library.”
“Okay!” The man chirps. “Do you know where Min Yoongi’s office is?”
He holds up a blue lunchbox covered in colorful, cat-shaped stickers and shakes it from side to side, making a cute little sound effect.

New to the office, Namjoon thinks of Min Yoongi as intimidating and slightly ruthless. It isn't until his partner Hoseok starts to come by the office to bring him lunch that Namjoon gets to know Yoongi as something beyond his reputation. But getting to know Yoongi and Hoseok leads to a whole new problem-his growing feelings for them. And the way they keep asking him to have lunch with them doesn't help.

“Why not?” Yoongi does not seem deterred at all. “That doesn’t matter. Humans are stupid anyway. But you’re hot and you smell nice. You’ll be a good mate. With your broad shoulders, your swimming abilities must be admirable. And you can fish, a provider.” He nods, as if this is all settled. “So you’re my husband.”
