You scramble backwards until you hit a wall, making a high pitched noise of distress at the realization of just how trapped you are. Riddler laughs at you, drawing a gun from his waistband. Your breath hitches, knowing this is it, this is where it ends for you. You close your eyes and wait for the perceived inevitable that never comes. You open them.
Riddler is holding the gun against his crotch, barrel pointed at you. He's using his other hand to prop himself up against the wall, looking down at you. Trapping you.
"Open."

Eighteen minutes before the plane landed, Patrick realized that he had something wrong with him.
It started with a cough. Nothing special, nothing terrifying. Just a simple clearing of his throat.The first petal showed up just as Patrick stepped foot into his hotel room. Patrick kicked the door shut behind him and stumbled in, somehow managing to hit every single piece of luggage he had brought with him.
It all went downhill quickly from there.
