Summary
Fabian watched The Ball walk away, knowing but not understanding why his heartrate was suddenly going up. He’d been home alone before, this wasn’t some unprecedented situation. Hell, he’d walked through the Nightmare Forest alone, faced his greatest fear (his greatest foe, his official nemesis). How could anything be scary compared to that?
Still, something about the silent abyss behind him terrified him. Looking into the grand hall, the panic from before returned. It felt as though the house threatened to swallow him up. He could swear the shadows on the walls were getting darker, creeping closer. His breath quickened. The pit in his chest deepened. The urge to escape took over and he half ran half tripped out of the house.
“Let me drive you home!”

Summary
Fabian made his way downstairs, turning on every light as he went. Every dark corner reminded him of the black hole in the woman’s chest. It wasn’t real, he reminded himself, but that only served to make him think of what she had really looked like in that forest, ribs crushed and left to rot.
He entered his kitchen, regretting his lack of foresight as he walked on the icy tiles with bare, sockless feet. The sensation of stone on skin summoned to the front of his mind flashes of Aguefort halls, elongated by his dreaming imagination.
Only after he’d finished ordering breakfast did he think to check the clock. The smaller hand pointed resolutely at the four. He would have to tip the poor delivery person really well to make up for that.
He hadn’t had a nightmare that severe in quite some time.

Eddie is quiet for another long moment, then he blurts out. “They think we’re having an affair.”
Richie forces out a laugh. “Why would they think that?”
(In which the Losers' Club has to convince a divorce lawyer that Richie and Eddie aren't having an affair, which is a little difficult because they are in love with each other.)

“We are not turning you in to the police.” Grover presses his head back into the alleyway.
“Why not?” Percy says. They could use a bit of cash. “You guys can just break me out afterwards, right?”
Annabeth looks like she’s considering it.
“No, guys,” Grover says. “No.”
