Summary
They were almost one organism, John-and-Paul, gravitating towards each other no matter where they were, sharing their own language of bumping shoulders and secret smiles and laughter, entire conversations passing through mere moments of eye contact between the two of them. Minds and bodies in perfect sync. They seemed to live in their own plane of existence, somewhere neither Brian nor little George could ever dream of inhabiting.
Brian watched in the rear view as Paul leaned against John’s side, yawning, jacket wrapped around his shoulders like a blanket. Watched as his head dropped down to John’s shoulder, his eyes slipped shut. There was something there, some special, unspoken trust. Brian wasn’t quite sure what to call it yet.
