Chapter Text
“Come on! There’s no time to waste, all the guards are gone, focused on their new little project.” 4904 hissed, pulling on the other two’s arms. 1460 nodded rapidly, getting up.
“What if we get caught?” 6470 spoke quietly, his voice barely a whisper.
“No way, big man. They’re busy, and forgot to re-lock the chamber.” 6470 Carefully got up, staring off to the side. The looming white walls stared back at him, and he stared at 4904’s arm instead.
1460 was already heading towards the door, now being the one tugging on 4904 and 6407’s arms. 4904 hurried quickly after, clearly excited. 6407 trailed them, staring at the floor the entire time. Even in this smaller form, he still felt so nervous that they would get caught, and there would be thousands of eyes on him. 1460 looked back at him, giving him a kind smile. 6407 returned the smile, and they all walked quicker.
It was relatively easy so far. One wrong step and everything could be messed up though. The risks were high, but the trio were pushing through.
“Almost there.” 1460 spoke through his teeth, glancing around as his antenna flicked back. 4904 nodded, a grin set on his face and his anticipation obvious.
Of course, no one gets off scott free when trying to leave a place like this. All three flinched in unison as the loud voice spoke through the speakers.
“4904, 1460, and 6470 have escaped containment. This is not a drill. If anyone in the lab sees the three, apprehend them instantly and do not let them get any farther.”
“Run, now!” 4904 darted forward, the other two hurrying after. Sirens played, beating at their ears heavily. Lights flashed, every corner of the building becoming an epilepsy problem. 4904 pushed open the large doors without a second thought, wind blowing in and brushing against his hair as he ran out. The other two were right on his tail, and they kept running.
Running, and running, and running. Not even spending a second to look at what surrounded them. They had no time for that. The sounds and lights drifted away, and they stopped in a small grove.
“So boys,” 4904 spoke up, too much calmness lacing his voice for what just occurred. “What do we do next?”

“Careful, Arson hands.” A snort came in response to the ghost-like hybrid, the ‘arson hands’ in question flipping through the pages of a notebook.
“At least my powers don’t fail from one drop of water.”
“Oh shut.”
“You two, calm down. Just focus on the task at hand.” Captain sent the bickering pair a glance, reaching up and pulling down a sheet of paper.
“Right.” Phantom nodded, turning away from Sparkshot to read through a paper.
Project Athens
4904 has shown great progress, it’s teammates as well. More tests must be conducted, to see how far they can go. They’re growing more powerful each day, soon enough it will be easy to use them for the plan.
Project - 366 is going perfect, it will be ready for release soon.
1460’s testing is almost done. A few more tests are required, we must implement more powers later. It’s not perfect, but it will do.
We are still curious about 6470's boundaries, and what other powers it may have. So far the only shown abilities are--------
The page cut off there, looked to be ripped apart.
Testing? Phantom’s grip tightened on the paper. That was just inhumane. He stared at the sheet, re-reading it over and over. Little phantoms appeared around him, circling his head and landing in his hair.
Eret gave him a confused glance, speaking up. “Everything alright, Wilbur?”
He snapped out of it, looking over at the past vigilante. “‘M fine, just found something… Interesting.”
The other two heroes looked over at him.
“I think it’s good enough for now, we should get out before we get found out.” Sparkshot walked over to Captain, having left the paper he had been reading discarded on a desk. Eret nodded, and Phantom --Wilbur-- did the same. He folded the paper carefully, pocketing it and going invisible. He phased through the wall, giving directions to the other three to help them get out safely.

Tommy paced around, earning a slightly concerned look from Tubbo.
“Calm down big man, we still have a few more days. It’ll be fine.”
“What if they find out, Tubs?” He tilted his head to the side, his blond hair bouncing slightly.
“We made sure that there were no holes in our backstories, there’s no way.” Ranboo spoke up from his spot on a chair, the confidence in his voice clearly fake. He was just as nervous as the other two.
“Yeah, there’s no way.” Tubbo’s wings spread out behind him. “No way.”
“Fine, I guess we’ll be fine. Just gotta be confident!” Tommy smiled wide, his pacing and worry instantly gone.
“That’s the spirit!” Tubbo grinned. “We should get some sleep, even if it’s gonna be a bit.”
“Could I at least patrol?”
“Mhm, but not tomorrow night. Better if we all have a full night’s rest for something as big as this.” Ranboo nodded, Tubbo responding with a nod of his own.
“Pog!” Tommy, already way too prepared and in his outfit, opened the window and hopped out.
