Chapter 8: Epilogue

Notes:

Happy New Year! Here's the last bit for this story.

Thought I'd change it up a bit from the normal dark sbi. Enjoy!

and Let's have a great year ahead of us :D

Chapter Text

California was cool,in every sense of the word. It was Winter and Tommy had to carry an umbrella everywhere but he much preferred that than having Wilbur tug on his leash whenever he felt neglected.

Here, there were no annoying brotherly figures; there was the Pacific, hot women and Tubbo!

They had all moved here after graduation. Tubbo’s father was more than happy to have his boy back in his land (they left out the bit where he was sharing the apartment with Ranboo) and Tommy was finally free from the shackles of Origins.

He was living life alongside his friends and it was amazing .

Although, some part of him misses Wilbur. Like when he had a stomach bug and he stared at his cell phone, fingers hovering over the contact “wilby” for an uncomfortable amount of time.

“You can’t contact any of them, Tommy. It’s for the best to forget about them,” Ranboo had said, handing him the apartment key.

He had his own place now and it was not too far from his friends if they ever needed them.

Tommy hated the loneliness that came with the new place. He should be happy, grateful to have this opportunity. His parents had sent him off with cheery faces and bright hopes. He had no reason to feel melancholic.

His life in England was far from great.

Change… He did not like change. That’s how that story ended that day in the library.

The protagonist had to change his beliefs and cut his attachment to the discs in order to heal and be free.

He knew what he had to do.

Tommy tightens his bootstraps, grabs his bookbag and heads out the door.

His apprenticeship starts today and it was going to be Poggers!
