There like no wholesome content of them, I needed to do something about that.

Work Text:

“Dustin, hurry up you're late,” mike calls from the other side of the walkie. Dustin was going as fast as he could on his bike. Heading the familiar route to the wheeler's house, for DnD and a sleepover.

“Fuck off, I’m just around the corner,” Dustin complained back.

“You wanna kiss me so bad it makes you look stupid,” Mike laughed into the walkie.

Dustin stifled a laugh, It might be true. “I’m here.”

Dustin knocked on the door. It was answered by Nancy. She let him in and as Dustin was running down the stair she yelled, “don’t be loud.” which is something that will probably not be followed.

The basement was usually colder then the upstair but Mike had the heat going, so Dustin shed the sweater he had on leaving it on the back of his designated chair. The table was already set for DnD.

Dustin was incharge of snacks this time around, hence why he was late, he dumped the bag of chips, pop, and candy of the ground. And the other boys would clam their respective favourites when it came time to play.

As per usually Will the wise was wearing his clairc hat, the purple one with all the stars on it, it was old and dishevvled and starting to tear at the seems from years of use. They plan on getting him a new one for his birthday, since he complains about having to sitch it up all the time.

On the other side of the room, Mike - who still had the walkie in his hand, had their head resting on lusas lap. Lucas pointed something out in a comic book; wonder women, it most likely belonged to Max, she loved wonder women.

“Well, I’m here,” Dustin threw his arms out dramatically. “ Not even a minute ago you were complaining about me not being here and now I’m here and I don’t get so much as a ‘hello.” It was sarcasm, mostly.

“Were shunning you for being late,”lucas looked up from the comic only for a second to give Dustin a one over.

Will on the other side of the room laughed. But ultimily was the only one wh was going to be nice to Dustin. “Hello, sir Dustin. I’m glad you could make it,” Will said, fully in character, leaning over to kiss Dustins right cheek. The brim of his hat hitting the side of Dustins head.

Mike stood up briskly from his spot of the floor. “Now that everyone his here. Who’s ready for a night of thrilling quests and adventures, and monster and yadayadayada, it’s Dungeons and Dragons you know what your getting in to,” mike gave up on the passionate speech part way through. “I was feeling the speech a minute ago, but because SOMEBODY decided to be late.”

Dustin retored back, “it’s not my falt, I had to go to two stores to get cream soda, who even likes cream soda.”

“I do,” Mike gestured to themselves.

“Gentalmen, gentleman,” Lucas interfered, “lets keep it civil ok. People can have there opinions, even if there wrong.”

“Says the guy who likes new coke.” the rest of the group erupted into laughter, much to loud, nancy wouldn’t be happy.

During the game, Will insisted that - even though it held no importance to the game - Mike and Will's characters kissed. Why? Who knows. It started a mini half hearted argument about how Will could just Kiss Mike in real life.

Regardless, Will ends up with a die in his hands rolling for charisma. “Come on,” he muttered to himself like it was some game altering decision. The die hit the table.

And…17.

It was good enough to get  Will the Wise a short kiss from the paladin. And in turn Mike gave a real kiss to Will, taking his hat off first so it didn’t get in the way.

The game proceeded as normal, with a break at the hour in point to eat. Mike insisted they eat down stairs so they could keep playing, but Karen wasn’t an easily swayed woman.

It was getting pretty late, so they found themselves on Mike's floor, in front of the tv. On the floor was a makeshift bed of some kind. Blankets, pillows and foam toppers. It’s been like that ever since they were kids and it never moved (aside from to clean it). They were over so much that it wouldn’t make any sense to take it down.

Mike was looking through the movie cabinet. With Will and Lucas hovering over him looking at the movies as well.

“I vote on ‘nightmare on elm street’” Will said holding up the dvd.

“Well, I vote for not ‘nightmare on elm street’” Lucas retorted.

Mike jumped into the conversation, “is it cus you’d scream like a girl.”

Lucas knew all this was just joking banter. But it didn’t stop it from being true. Will placed a hand on his back in sympathy for his squeamish partner.

Mike rustled through the cabinet for a second longer before pulling out a different DVD. “How about ghostbusters?” Mike asked.

“Oh ya, I like ghostbusters.” Will quickly let go of the other dvd putting it back into the cabinet. Lucas nodded as well at the movie.

“Dustin, what about you? Ghostbusters?”

Dustin laughed, “who do you think I am? asking if I want to watch ghostbusters? Of course I wanna watch ghostbusters.”

They settle into a big cuddle pile, and by the end of the movie Mike is practically falling asleep on Dustin’s chest. Dustin has been deemed the party’s pillow. Dustin doesn't take any offence to it either, he likes being soft, he likes when the other would fall asleep against him. Just as easy as they would a normal pillow if not easier.

But will and Lucas were talking about some new fantasy game they wanted to try. Dustin would add his own input every so often.

“Boys!,” Karen’s voice calls from the top of the stairs. “It’s late, please go to bed.”

“Ok, mom,” Mike groaned in his tiredness

“Yes, Mrs. Wheeler,” the other boys called in response.

The lights were turned out and they all settled back into the cuddle pile. Of course, they didn’t go right to bed. But stayed up talking and sharing kissing for a while, until the conversation died out and they fell into a peaceful, sleepy, silence.
