Chapter Text

okayyy so i've had this idea for ages and i mean so long soo here it is

Warnings for this fic, it deals with unhealthy relationships, cheating, drinking and probably a tiny bit of drugs

Possible Title: The Lies They Believe Could Be Closer To The Truth Than You Think

Summary:

Admittedly, it was a pretty shit college to begin with, Wilbur knows that, but the students just make it worse. Especially that Quackity guy who thinks he's doing something better than Wilbur, not to mention how he's in the most campus-known relationship with Schatt, a massive prick.

It's all working against Wilbur, really, it is. He hates this stupid college and he hates Quackity and Quackity hates him.

If only the students would stop spreading rumors about the two of them.

Or, a c!quackbur college au with enemies to friends to lovers arc

Okay so, the basic idea is right? That Wilbur and Quackity are in college, they don't like each other, and they compete in certain classes they have together. Lovely Quackbur enemies to friends to lovers college au.

This is my overall summary I made when I was sleepy once and it was also made a while ago:

So, Quackity is dating Schlatt and like, the whole damn campus knows about it, it's kinda ridiculous. But what the whole campus doesn't know, is how FUCKED UP the relationship is. Like, Schlatt isn't a good guy, cares more about Quackity's body than ACTUAL QUACKITY, basically sometimes he just dehumanizes Quackity like it's normal, which is EW.

Now, Quackity's still with him, and he gets pissed off any time any one tries to ask anything about the relationship, and honestly, it's mainly him getting defensive in response to the worry he feels about what would happen if people figured out- more specifically, what Schlatt would do and how he would react. So ya know, he doesn't really like talking about the fact that his partner is pretty shit and that their relationship is pretty shit too.

Now, Wilbur, he once dated this girl Sally but she broke up with him and it was really ugly and he got all sad and shit because of it. But then, he learned to grow and now he's in college. But my Prime this is such a crappy college. He doesn't really like this place one bit, like, he has Jack Manifold and Niki- oh and sometimes her girlfriend, Puffy or whatever. But other than that, he is just here to get decent grades and impressions so he can find a job and LEAVE. So ya know, it kinda sucks that girls are trying to get with him by slidin in the instagram dms, or that boys are coming out of the closet just to talk about how hot Wilbur is. He doesn't understand any of it, but he's himself, not all the people that are drooling over him. And sometimes all the girls and guys that wanna get in bed with him make his confidence feel just a bit better that day, he's even able to ignore it at times. But of course, he's never given in to any of them, just lets them stare and imagine but they aren't gonna touch.

So this leads to them still having some of their own personal shit right? So it sure doesn't help when the two have come so good at trying to pick the other's expression that they start noticing more of this. Like, typically their hatred is shown by embarrassing the other publicly or just tossing insults and one-upping them in silly shitty competitions. So when things start crossing unspoken lines, it starts to show and now their hatred is getting much more deeper and emotional.

It doesn't help that now, after seeing the mistake in overstepping, Quackity's very insistent on making up for it. Wilbur doesn't even know why, all he knows is that he's mad at Quackity (but he can't stop thinking about the way he looks and all those rumours about what people think they've done together), so he's a bit conflicted. In the end, he returns the gesture(s), tries to take back his words by being kinder. Now being nicer means getting along which means the two have to be around each other meaning they could even be alone at times. And what if they start enjoying their time together? Start becoming- fuck, maybe even friends?

It's making Wilbur realize how difficult it's gonna be to fight his thoughts about Quackity and the word attractive, because dangerously so, his brain has associated them now. All this time alone just makes it tougher and tougher. Damn, it's not like Quackity's ever thought of him like that anyway- unless he has. And eventually, Wilbur's gonna learn about Schlatt and Quackity's gonna break up with him (after he cheats with Wilbur LMAO) then the two end up dating, happily together the end :')

I also made like, one of those plot things with plot points, all filled in. Sooo here's that. It's probably a bit funky and doesn't align with the summary up there, but I made this after the summary so some ideas might have changed idk:

1. Opening Image

A visual or scene that sets the tone of the story and introduces the protagonist.

Big Q and Wilbur clearly don’t get along, they are petty and competitive. Quackity’s dating Schlatt whereas Wilbur is single, dodging anybody that tries to message him in his instagram dms or comes up to him in person.

2. The Theme Stated

A scene that sets up or teases the message or essential truth of your story.

Quackity ends up calling Wilbur to ask him to pick him up from a party (there’s some not-nice people there and his friends are drunk or high lol). This shows the start of their petty hatred giving into exceptions as Wilbur agrees and lets him stay the night. Also we get a peek into Quackity’s relationship with Schlatt.

3. Set-Up

Scenes that introduce the world & supporting characters, and also hint at changes to come.

Wilbur makes Quackity sleep on the couch still, but when Wilbur leaves for his early class (or work) Quackity takes up the bed. When Wilbur’s roommate goes to talk to Wilbur, he instead sees Quackity in his bed and ends up telling some people.

4. Catalyst / Inciting Incident

The surprise moment that turns the protagonist’s world upside down and kicks off the main plot.

Now there’s a rumor going around that Wilbur and Quackity slept together, meaning that Quackity supposedly cheated. Wilbur tries to prove them all wrong while Quackity struggles facing Schlatts anger and tries to convince him of the truth. Yet, Wilbur starts to wonder how bad the rumor really is (he doesn’t know about Schlatt’s anger), he almost wonders if he’d like the idea of sleeping with Quackity.

5. Debate

Tension mounts and the protagonist ponders whether to undertake the journey. What is at stake?

Wilbur and Quackity have possibly managed to settle down the lies about them. But still, their negative feelings for each other have simmered down and they find each other just acting normally like they didn’t hate each other or try and rival up their grades. They both wonder if they should start acting like, well, friends.

6. Break into Act II

The protagonist chooses to take action. A journey into a new and strange experience begins.

Wilbur takes the first step into being Quackity’s friend. Setting the “enemies” bit in the past as Quackity joins him in this much more positive and friendly relationship.

7. B-Story

The protagonist learns about the theme, usually with the aid of a mentor, friend, or love interest.

Quackity and Wilbur both start realizing hey, they aren’t so bad and maybe even possibly, I like hanging out with them a whole lot too.

8. Fun and Games

The conflict kicks into high gear: bad guys attack, lovers fight, mysteries deepen.

Wilbur and Quackity might both be struggling with the lines between friendly and more than friendly. But Quackity has a boyfriend, Schlatt, and Wilbur’s just starting to learn both the truth of their relationship and what he thinks of his own relationship with Quackity.

9. Midpoint

The second big turning point: Goals are achieved… but a reversal upsets the plan.

Quackity and Wilbur cross the line past friendship. Now at least some of the rumors are true. Quackity did cheat on Schlatt, Wilbur and Quackity do have something going on.

10. Bad Guys Close In

Troubles pile up after the Midpoint, either from literal “bad guys” or the hero’s flaws and doubts.

They should not have done that. Quackity should not have cheated. Wilbur shouldn’t have let it happen. But it did, and it’s hitting the fan as Quackity and Wilbur start struggling to comprehend what this means for them and Quackity’s relationship with Schlatt. Wilbur assures him that they’ll think it through but Quackity is slowly tipping off the ship Schlatt’s steering right into an iceberg.

11. Crisis / All Is Lost

The opposite moment from the Midpoint: A disaster that makes the goal appear to be impossible.

Wilbur notices what’s going on and tries to help Quackity out with Schlatt but Quackity’s reluctant because of what’s happened between them now. Schlatt and Quackity have a major fight, Quackity desperately wants to blame Wilbur.

12. Dark Night of the Soul

In the aftermath of the Crisis, the hero hits rock bottom emotionally as everything falls apart.

Wilbur’s left in the rocks, Quackity’s cut him off and now they aren’t on very good terms after a fight. He’s broken. But so is Quackity, just ending a relationship with somebody like Schlatt isn’t the easiest thing and he’s still so confused about what happened with Wilbur.

13. Break into Act III

The B-Story [7] returns to provide fresh ideas or a new inspiration, derived from the Theme [2].

Quackity and Wilbur are reflecting on the good times they’ve had. How maybe not everything between the two of them has to be so complicated and full of negativity. It takes a while, but they do start talking again about what matters. All while Quackity starts figuring out maybe he isn’t all Schlatt.

14. Finale

The protagonist tries again, drawing on experience and understanding of the Theme in the climactic sequence.

Wilbur and Quackity give an attempt to understand what they want with each other and it’s more than friends. Quackity’s learned to heal from Schlatt.

15. Final Image

The flip side of the Opening Image [1], showing how the protagonist and the world have changed.

Wilbur and Quackity are now dating, both have moved on from any past heartache and all confusion between each other has been washed away. It’s a happy ending.

OKAY THAT IS IT WOOOO. What do you think of this idea?

Chapter 2: Hitman type beat, but with sbi

Summary:

Wilbur's a killer, to but in short and simple terms, still living with his father Phil and still avoiding most people.
Tommy's just a teen living with this guy Techno, enjoying life to its fullest and trying to sneak his way into being Wilbur's friend.
Techno, however, might not be just a random guy. That's right, he works in the same field Wilbur does, and it creates some complications.
Even worse, it puts Tommy in danger.

Chapter Text

Warning for this one there's murder and just... a great lack of trust between all characters

But uh. So Phil is Wilburs actual father (but he doesn't see it that way) and Wilbur's also out late at night a lot, returning at like eleven. Phil tries to question it but doesn't want to push too far. But the thing is, Wilburs out late for his work. Which is murdering people- So he tries to keep that hidden.

But one day he meets a kid named Tommy at his "regular" work and they start bonding. Tommy is mostly seen with this guy Techno, he drives him and picks him up. Which Wilbur doesn't mind, he's becoming acquaintances with him too. Wilbur's boss is this scary guy named Dream, and something comes up in his murdering job. Apparently, Dreams worried about this guy who is pretty good at killing. So Wilbur is supposed to take care if him before he takes care of them.

The only problem is, Wilbur accidentally finds out it's Technoblade.

Yeah, then he has to go around knowing that Techno is trying to kill him all while he's trying to do the same. He also gets worried over Tommy's safety, since Tommy lives with Techno Which then leads into Tommy knowing about the whole shady job the two have. Ending up with Dream wanting to assign someone to Tommy. So Wilbur and Techno team together to save Tommy, putting their work aside and focusing on Tommy and the fact that before, they were friends.

So now Techno and Wilbur are exposed to Tommy about their jobs and that they were previously plot tong to kill each other. So Tommy is hesitant about whether to keep in contact with them anymore. After all, he's been living with a murderer without even knowing it and hanging out with another one. But he eventually comes to the conclusion that they're like family to him, letting them back in his life. There ya go.

That's not idea lol, there is probably a fic very similar like this out there somewhere but who knows

Soo I have some very old writing from this idea. This idea is old, made it back in April of 2022 soo yeah the writing isn't grand or anything, nor is it now, but it's most certainly blander in this text:

The wind blew harshly and the rain continued to pour, leaving a thin layer of water on the pavement that seeped into his shoes. It was annoying, yes, but he had no choice but to walk in this poor weather. The raindrops were heavy, near to hurting his head as they fell from the dark clouds.

Rounding the corner he walks up to the building, knocking twice. He hears shuffling before the door is being opened, the bright light making him have to squint in contrast to the dark sky.

“Wilbur?” the man called his name before stepping to the side, “It’s eleven what are you doing?”

He ignored the question and stepped inside, “Thanks for letting me in, Phil.”

Of course, Phil wouldn’t drop the question so easily. Crossing his arms Phil turned to Wilbur, “Wil, what were you doing out there?”

Wilbur locked the door with a numb hand and gave a weak smile to Phil, “Don’t worry about it.”

Phil instead looked down at his hands, reaching out with a frown, “Mate, your hands are freezing cold! Just tell me what you were doing.”

After Phil asks twice and Wilbur shrugs it off each time, Phil gives a small nod.

Wilbur was thankful Phil wasn’t as stubborn as most people he’s met. He had a very private life and it felt like everyone kept on questioning him about it, not knowing when to stop pushing. Phil did, he knew when to continue and when to drop it. One thing Wilbur had always loved about him. With a small smile, Wilbur kicked off his boots and walks up the stairs.

Opening his bedroom door, his eyes dart straight to his desk where a pile of lined papers and dull pencils await. The guitar case sat empty on his bed while his guitar lays still on the carpeted floor on the other side of the room. His pocketed hands are still numb as he picked up the guitar, walked over to his seat and glanced down at the papers. His calloused fingers tune the burgundy guitar in his grip until he’s satisfied with the sound.

As he read the words on the sheets he remembered the many people who had told him that he could be a singer if he really wanted. Their kind words made him believe that they were true for a moment until he was faced with the lyrics of the songs. The lyrics were noticeably personal, and he just didn’t know if other people would relate in the slightest way. Due to this, the people would only ever hear half the songs he’s written.

Due to the time, he didn’t bother singing, only humming and playing lightly to minimize the volume.

The song ended, and he could feel his hands again, the tips of his fingers felt unreasonably hot. With a groan, he stood up, dragging himself to his bed.

—------------------------

Coffee wasn’t Wilbur’s thing, but after a night like that and a screwed sleep schedule, it was what he needed right now. He looked at the sign above his head, ‘ Niki’s Bakery ’, a nice small building that was conjoined with a bunch of other small businesses. He pushes the door open, the bell almost startling his sleepy mind. There’s no line so now he’s faced with an almost bald man at the front counter. Wilbur glances down at his name tag, ‘ Jack’

“Welcome to Niki’s bakery,” he greeted with a smile, “What can I get you this morning?”

“Uhm,” Wilbur looks up to the menu boarded with bright lights, “I’ll take a blended cappuccino with four shots of espresso.”

Wilbur relaxed as Jack didn’t question him or give a weird glance at his order, (simply due to the fact that Wilbur knows nothing about coffee and he thinks it makes him look stupid in a place like this). Jack tapped some buttons before turning up from the screen, “What’s the name of the order?”

“William,” he said with a small nod as he pulled out his wallet. Jack leaned on the counter, “That’ll be $4.99.”

After a sleek swipe of his card, it was handed back to him and he could now happily sit in the corner of this warmly light bakery. Out of boredom, his eyes wandered around the building.

To the left of Wilbur sat a man with a laptop in front of him, no food or beverage. He had a pink braid that lay on his back and he was exceptionally built. The man must’ve felt Wilbur glancing over at him because he slowly turned his head, making Wilbur quickly face out the window, now feeling his eyes pouring into him.

So when his name was called out he shot up, heading over to the counter and thanking Jack before walking out the door. He groaned at the wind he completely forgot about, ‘ Didn’t miss you one bit.

—------------------------

He walked down the sidewalk with a rush, eager to get the next thing done on his list. But an aching pain in his shoulder and falling to the ground put a halt to his plans, he looked forward and realized he's bumped into someone. In front of him a tall, dirty blonde-haired, boy glared at him. Wilbur was quick to stand up with a nervous tone, “Oh, I’m sorry. Wasn’t watching where I was going- let me help you up.”

The boy looked to be around seventeen, he stared at the hand with defiance before letting out a huff and grabbing onto it. Now that they were both standing he pointed an accusing finger at Wilbur, “Shut up, you lanky weirdo.”

“I have stood here and apologized to you. I even helped you up,” Wilbur said as he furrows his brows.

The teen paused at his words before letting out an awkward laugh, “Oh guess you did. Thanks for that then- not that I needed your help.”

Wilbur scoffed at the sudden change and held out a hand again, “I’m Wilbur.”

Now the eyes staring at his hands were out of curiosity and not defiance, the teen shook his hand, “Tommy.”

“Well Tommy, I’m sorry for bumping into you,” he said with a smile.

Tommy shrugged at this, “You already said that dumb ass.”

“Do you act like that with everyone? Or just random people who accidentally bump into you?” Wilbur asked, it didn’t sound offended but instead teasing in nature, friendly even.

Tommy nodded as he held his head up, “Pretty much. Wait- where were you going to be in a rush like that anyways?”

“Work,” Wilbur spit out, ‘ Shit I need to get going. ’ Wilbur rubbed the back of his neck, “Speaking of which I need to leave now.”

“Try not to knock anybody else over,” Tommy snickered and Wilbur shook his head, but a smile was on his face, one which he quickly hid.

Chapter 3: Some sort of casino au with quackbur

Summary:

Quackity owns a casino, he's the big boss

Wilbur is literally just the lead singer in a random band that happens to become a crowds favorite musical performance

more cquckbur stuff where they don't like each other, then they do, then they love each other lol

the love story between Quackity, the casino owner and Wilbur, some random guy in a band

Chapter Text

Quackity runs the well-known casino of Las Nevadas, bringing in travellers from far and wide with its stunning lights and great entertainment. But then a new form of entertainment shows up, a newly made band performing near the bar inside of the casino. It’s allowed, but Quackity personally doesn’t like the lead singer after a few of their encounters.

Wilbur Soot is the name, Quackity doesn’t like that man. He’s too snarky and thinks he’s a bit too high up there compared to a lot of people. Which Quackity would argue against for days. So Quackity says he has valid reasons for not liking the man. Plus the fact that Wilbur would charm his way into getting free drinks made Quackity quite upset. But in an attempt to ask Wilbur to take his band elsewhere, he ends up having to do quite the opposite in order to keep a good reputation for his casino up and keep his customers coming.

This only infuriates Quackity more, he’s done with Wilbur having his way all the time. But when he shows up at Wilbur’s door, ready to express his anger, Wilbur returns it. This leads to a long spiral of messy arguments and sharp insults tossed throughout the day and the next until the well-attended customers of the casino are well aware of their new rivalry.

But after an eventful night, things change behind the scenes and their rivalry is getting in the way of many things. Customers find it more annoying than entertaining now, and Wilbur’s band isn’t receiving the best feedback because of it and Quackity’s losing even some of the most faithful customers he’s had. Can they put aside their differences to save both of their jobs on the line? And what happens when attempting to get along turns into something completely different and unexpected?

Yeah basically Quackity is an anger guy with a big ego and Wilbur is a flirtatious prick who has yet to fully realize his actions can have negative consequences and they help each other out, help themselves, and fall in love but it's just mostly in the setting of a casino.

I also have a discussion of a few things that would probably happen in this fic lol:

Simple: I'm just gonna start the collum of ideas. So also just to remember that Wilbur literally winks at Big Q while performing.

A: quackity has a big boy EGO and wilbur doesn’t even know who he is and humbles him a bit by not treating him the way he’s used to

Simple: Wilbur gets attacked by a raccoon sometime. If you know you know.

Simple: The bit where Wilbur says "I don't think I'm the one with the big ego here, sweetheart"

A: quackity used to play GUITAR but he doesn’t anymore. so he is jealous of almost everything about wilbur so he HATES HIM SO MUCH. but eventually wilbur hands him his guitar and tells him to play something

Simple: I'm sorry if this is like, an overused thing or whatever. But I really want there to be to be a moment between them where they kiss in the rain.

Simple: And also after they play guitar for each other and with each other. Like, it's night time and they're just playing with and for each other then it gets really sweet and they kiss (could tag along with the wilbur handing big q a guitar idea)

Aaand here's some writing I wrote for it last summer- not the whole first chapter- but a bit:

Quackity sees a glimpse of the man's face as he shoots a grin at the bartender, sinking down into his seat- finally, before taking hold of his drink. That’s when Quackity sees the white streak of hair that had been hiding on the other side of his face.

'Ew, he’s probably fucking fifty.’ That was a reasonable guess. The man was tall, meaning he had to have a good amount of years to grow. ‘Ignoring the fact that he could just naturally be tall- no, he has white hair. He’s old as hell.

“Is there something on my face?”

Quackity blinks at the question, realising the man is now talking to him. Quackity raises his shoulders a bit, scrunching his face. “What? No. Why are you asking me?”

He’s met with a deadpanned expression. “Well, you were looking at my face so I assumed there was something on it.”

Oh.’ Quackity shakes his head, turning his face away. “Yea, you got a couple of wrinkles, really obvious with that white hair of yours-”

“Huh?”

“What? Are you too old to remember the white hair you’re growing?” Quackity slips casually, looking down at his nails to complete his act. Quackity expects the silence to linger much longer, but this newcomer finds something to say.

“And I thought this place had nicer guests.”

Quackity’s shoulders practically dropped in disappointment, freezing as something started to boil up. ‘Guest?

“Guest?”

“Well, I mean, it is a casino full of drunken randoms gambling their money away so I guess I can’t really expect the best-”

“No, no. You said guest.”

His anger was only matched with a light laugh as the man tipped his chin up, eyeing Quackity and if he wasn’t so angry, he might have shrunk away. “Yes, I did. Are you not just another guest who found themselves stumbling into this big building?”

Quackity couldn’t help but grind his teeth together, replaying the words in his mind over and over and fucking over again. This man must be kidding himself. Quackity was the damn owner of his casino. Of all of it- of all of this. He was the one who worked up from a pile of ash and dirt to get here. He was the one who makes sure this place can still run properly. He was the owner of the marvellous and grand casino of Las Nevadas.

“You’re kidding right?” Quackity asked, a sharp undertone to his voice. “Tell me you’re fucking joking-”

“Tell you I’m joking- about what? What would be so funny right now?”

My oh my this man had no idea how he was going to push Quackity over the edge. He was trying to be patient with people today, this man might make him break that promise.

Quackity leaned forward, poking a finger in the man’s chest who almost tripped on his stool as he backed up a bit, raising his hands.

“Hey-”

Quackity stopped him there, glaring up at the man. “No, I’m not just some stupid guest who wandered in here. I’m the fucking owner of this casino.”

The other simply looked down at Quackity’s chest, and he was about to call it out until he was cut off. “I don’t see no fancy big tag. Thought the owner of a place like this would adorn some sort of title on their shirt- a badge of power, if you will.”

Quackity chuckled, frustration written clearly across his features. “Well most people can spend a second looking at me and know who I am. So you must be not only new, but terribly clueless to everything around you.”

“Oh sure. I’m clueless.” the man scoffed, making Quackity give a sceptical look as he dropped his hands and stepped away. There was no answer from him though, only a pat on the shoulder that Quackity immediately cringed away from.

“Well, I’ve got to be going now. Hopefully you pull that stank look off your face, Mr casino owner.”

Chapter 4: Secret Agents Au, Twinsduo

Summary:

Technoblade and Wilbur get put on the same case

Chapter Text

This one will deal with violence and guns but here it is:

Wilbur and Techno oppose each other, they completely resent the other and the way they go about doing anything and everything.

Which is unfortunate because they work in the same secret organization. It’s even worse when they get put on the same case.

With all of the arguing, threatening, and yelling they find themselves in deeper shit- now they’re actually in trouble. And when somebody who was supposedly on enemy lines helps them out, it leaves them with conflicting emotions.

The more they work on the case, the more they figure out that they might be on the wrong side of things.

Yuup, that's all right. Two bros who don't like each other one bit are forced to cooperate and realize disliking the other doesn't help anybody, which eventually turns into a blossoming friendship, who knows, they might even be brothers by the end of this mess.

However, of course, the secret organization they work for is revealed to actually be the "bad guy" and somehow the two of them manage to tackle with that (and yeah, the boss is mad they found out).

Teamwork makes the dream work, even if the being a team bit was forced upon you by your job and then- wait, and again, your job once more.

Philza might pop up. A "good guy" that also helps lead twinsduo to figuring out the truth of their organization. Not a hundred-percent sure though.

I do know this fic would have guns and violence though, and hostage situations most likely, and of course, secret identity stuff.

And, because why not, throughout the story their work shows off their distinct ways of going about and doing things, their different strengths and how it's just another thing that proves they should actually work well together in the field.

Probably a scene where the two are in literal life threatening danger but they're too busy bickering about the most stupidest, ridiculous things.

And maybe where Techno makes one slip up, but it's not exactly small, nor can Wilbur shut up about it and rant about how he's better than Technoblade because he would never mess up on such a thing- then proceeds to screw up on something and blame it on Techno "bothering him, resulting in an unfair environment that Techno also carelessly and so very rudely pollutes with his bad luck" which Techno finds pretty laughable.

Chapter 5: Murder Mystery Quackbur Thingumajig

Summary:

Fundy, Wilbur's son, is dead

However, Wilbur refuses to believe the cause and Quackity gets curious

Chapter Text

Soo heavy warnings for talk about suicide and murder, it's kinda a big deal in this fic my bad. Lot's of angst and grief and guilt. Aaaand mystery.

Oh yeah, Fundy is like nineteen so, an adult, has- had his own things and information of course. Not the whole "oh this is your under eighteen kid, so here's all there belongings and everything you need to know" and Wilbur is in fact, a thirty-six year old man (yes, Fundy was born when he was seventeen), Quackity is thirty-four and Tommy is eighteen because Wilbur's parents managed about two years after he moved out before they needed a kid and adopted Tommy when he was two.

They may or may not all be just sad unfortunate people. Tommy tries his best though.

This story will have these flashback type things to when Fundy was alive. Like when he writes down a phone number. Things that might slowly reveal the truth- whether they already know it or not.

So... here's the idea

Fundy commited suicide a little while ago (not even six months). Wilbur, Fundy's father goes to Captain Puffy, Fundy's past therapist, for questions about his son because yes, he is very skeptical about the suicide.

However, he gets next to nothing from her and, being the desperate (and sad) man he is during these times, he sneaks into the office and finds some of Fundy's stuff. But he gets caught.

Some random guy calls the police, and Quackity is there (as he works with the police) when Puffy doesn't even press charges on Wilbur by somehow coming up with a brilliant excuse and how it's all a misunderstanding, the fact that they're not closed lowkey helping her.

Quackity doesn't miss it and curiosity wins and he goes up to Wilbur to ask him why he snuck in to which Wilbur just says something along the lines of "I needed to know if there was any answers about what happened to him" and Quackity, with his face scrunched up in slight worry tells him how the record says Fundy died. Wilbur, however, just gives him an odd look and walks away.

Now Quackity's really curious. Seeing as he has Fundy's items available to him- Wilbur doesn't get them, L- he looks into Fundy's journal which happens to be full of poems, but they aren't sad or anything, maybe one or two. But Quackity knows that doesn't mean he wasn't struggling, of course.

But then when he's still flipping through the journal he stumbles upon a phone number, deciding on calling it. Technoblade (unknown to us and Quackity) picks up the phone and Quackity questions him on why his number was in Fundy's journal. Techno responds with "he needed help" and Quackity asks if it was mental health help he was seeking and Techno sorta pauses, then, he simply says "No, he needed my help to write a story."

And because Fundy showed interest in writing many times, Quackity leaves it at that.

Meanwhile, Wilbur hasn't rested. If evil never sleeps he won't either to stop it from hiding the truth.

He's trying his best to solve all this, though it's a different story when it comes to coping with all his emotions. Wilbur's a wreck refusing to acknowledge the mess of himself, but one thing is for sure and it's that he needs to know what really happened to Fundy for sure.

He sees Tommy at some point, and the eighteen year old is so obviously struggling with the loss as well, but he's able to point out how bad of a state Wilbur seems to be in. Of course, Wilbur doesn't quite listen to that, either by ignoring it or assuring Tommy his observation is inaccurate.

Then Wilbur manages to go to Quackity, first asking to see everything he has and then ending up insulting Quackity's ways and just in general. Clearly, Quackity doesn't appreciate it. They both have a very rocky start, viewing the other merely as an obstacle while they deal with their own shit, Wilbur with Fundy's death obviously and other family tangles, and Quackity with his overload of stress and lack of company, we soon figure out.

So they don't like each other, they're both pretty stressed and lonely, but they're trying to solve the same thing, so with reluctance and high tension, the two start working together.

When the phone number from before is brought back up it makes Wilbur snap up with realization as he explains that Fundy wasn't writing some fictional story or whatever. Techno is in fact a news reporter, a well known one too.

Now Quackity and Wilbur come to the conclusion Fundy clearly was trying to uncover something himself. What? They have no clue. They do, however, have a guess that somebody didn't want that story out there, resulting in Fundy's death.

From there, the story builds up more clues and foreshadows of what happened, it deepens Wilbur and Quackity's connection as they even start to become friends (maybe even lovers at the end), as well as follow Wilbur as he eventually learns to cope and accept support from others, such as his family as he starts opening up to them more, and of course Quackity's own struggles such as extreme difficulty trusting people while not having nearly anybody in his life and managing his stress.

It eventually trails back to where Fundy used to work, Quackity visiting the place and meeting an employee (the boss is some muttonchops man with rough hands) who says things that cannot help but make him look like their possible suspect.

This random worker might be the guy.

However, it turns out not be him as events unfold and it's revealed to be Schlatt- well, the person that Schlatt hired but anywho.

But naturally, when your as powerful as Schlatt you self claim victory as he tells Quackity exactly what happened, explaining how when Fundy found out the illegal shit going on in behind the scenes in the business, selling stuff and buying it to repeat, Fundy quit and threatened to expose the whole company and bring down Schlatt so the man effortlessly hires somebody to kill him and make it look like a suicide.

Schlatt doesn't win though, and Quackity gets himself out of danger from the man (okay yeah probably with Wilbur's help) and quackbur manages to finish what Fundy started.

Chapter 6: Quackbur Vampire Au

Summary:

Ramblings about the vampire au I really, really, really wanna write someday

It's got it all, fluff, angst, most likely smut, historical au, some occasional violence, a creepy breathing forest that's alive, morals on top of no care for morals and more

Chapter Text

Okkkayyy to start off Quackity is a solo act type of guy, he's determined and practices his skills all the time for the sharpest, most efficient performance. That's him, hard working to earn things. Amongst vampires, he's a newly discussed man, climbing the ranks of power. Now, despite how isolated he is, he's got them talking about him.

The humans though? Maybe a small handfull has heard whispers about him. There's a big divide between the two species and if you were to look at it from an overall standpoint, both sides hated and threatened each other.

Now, Quackity has his own opinions on this whole 'team vampire' or 'team human' thing. See, he obviously was at one point a human. He was forcefully turned into a vampire, some big group that wanted some soldiers. He doesn't like that. Turning somebody into a vampire just so you can use them for longer and take advantage of their new abilities? Absolutely not cool. Quackity's never even turned anyone.

At the same time, humans don't care whether they wanted to be a vampire or not, they just see them as danger, as an attraction to make money, our house decor (which is strange because really, you basically just have a human head). Innocent vampires that haven't done anything are instantly discriminated against without even being given a chance.

So to say, Quackity has his takes on both sides. He's not on either, there.

But back to it, humans don't really keep up with who is who in the vampire world. And when things go south, landing Quackity a hostage for a whole ship of them, he knows he has to find some way to escape before they take off to the seas. He had hopped on board, pretending to be a human until they found out a mile before land, unfortunately making this new town an unavailable option to live.

He manages to get off the ship successfully when it's docked, but now he's being chased on the streets, unfortunately gaining attention and some more haters that tag along. He reaches the stretches of the small town by the shore, finding himself faced with a forest. It's his only option seeing as posters of him are probably being put up right this second.

Thankfully, only a small portion follows him into the thickness of the forest and he quickly loses them. Now he's alone, and oh yeah, completely lost.

No matter. He carries onwards, deeper and deeper as it grows darker and darker.

The forest, as he finds out, is quite literally alive. Facing the challenges that come along, he survives to see sunrise, making the most of it to get out. He doesn't know when this forest may end, and yet another day passes. This time though, probably around midday, the trees starting to thin out as day approaches generously.

Strangely enough, he finds himself travelling down fields of grass, a great contrast to the creeping forest. Mountains start closing in, an honestly lovely view as he continues, another day passing as he winds around and finding rocky land drizzled with greenery here and there.

What really catches his eye is the tall stone tower built into the side of a mountain, looking near ancient and entirely abandoned.

Although there will not be food in their, it'll be a roof over his head. So Quackity goes in.

Just as expected, everything is dusty, broken, and untouched for decades.

However, the further he explores in this place, the less of a long forgotten place it gets. Reaching one floor, there's a big table, paper covering a whole ton of it. And the feather ink pen in it's ink jar sits there, not even a little bit dry.

Quackity tries to shrug it off.

But in the next room there's two candles and the melted wax dripping down the side hasn't settled and in fact, it was only recently put out.

Just as he pieces it together, realizing he's not alone, a tall figure knocks him in the side confirming the fact that he isn't alone. He reaches for his dagger, getting elbowed before he does.

Then he faces them, the shadows making it difficult to see their face. Still, Quackity will ask who they are while defending himself as he tries to legit stab them.

(Oh M Gee guys first interaction)

Though, upon seeing who they are Quackity freezes up, a wave of conflicting emotions- but mainly utter and complete confusion- washing over him as he is met with the one and only Wilbur Soot.

Aka a vampire that was long gone. Well, supposed to be at least. He was dead, as far as anyone knew.

You see, Wilbur, back when people knew he was alive, was a leader of sorts, the starter of a revolutionary movement to bring freedom and fairness to both sides, vampire and human, blah blah blah.

He was a hero for specific groups of vampires and humans. The vampires who had no choice in turning, the ones who were hated with no cause. The humans that were helplessly harmed, the ones that dared to not kill a vampire on sight.

Of course, that means he got a whole crap of hate. And having enemies as powerful and big as the ones he had would end up badly no matter who you were, revolutionist or not.

So, as the story is supposed to go, Wilbur died heroically, fighting the good fight and forever giving hope to those that hear about him, even when he's gone his goals and dreams remain.

But apparently some of that is bullshit, because Wilbur's standing right in front of Quackity, looking far more healthy then a dead man, in fact, healthier than Quackity.

Now, having an actual talk rather than a fight, Quackity is allowed to stay, but of course not without Wilbur showing reluctance towards the idea, downplaying anything the curious vampire asks him.

Seems Wilbur doesn't wanna talk or even remember Quackity is now living here "for only a while" as Wilbur says. He's a bit of a grump, there we'll say it.

Still, Quackity's eager to strike a real conversation. Not "oh. uh where's the bathroom" with "Oh yeah, down the hall, third right, take another right and second door on your left" with nothing else.

To be fair, nobody can really blame him. Like, he's living with Wilbur Soot, somebody who he only knows is actually still alive. For real, the guy Quackity even used to look up to like a leader way back when. So yeah, he just has to talk to the guy.

After many failed attempts, it turns out Wilbur Soot is this odd Metroman and Peter B Parker from the spider verse guy. Faked his death, the danger of the revolution or whatever else he said along with flaws and indivinity, who knows. Wanted to choose a calmer life but also dislikes a lot of other life.

Gradually, Wilbur sort of ends up being like a mentor for Quackity. (well, sorta like Quackity prodding all this info out with persistence and annoying him. Kinda like Wilbur says something, not really caring just trynnna get some space but of course Quackity wants to know more, he always does, to which Wilbur eithr bullshits an answer or way out, or he ends up explaining a bit more details, hating as he does so. In response Quackity says something, either he already knew it or he lowkey shows off his perspective.)

Eventually, it leads to them opening up a bit more, decreasing Wilbur's grumpiness and Quackity's 'by my book only' ways.

In short, they're changing each other and unlocking the good parts of themselves :D

They grow together throughout the story, like a trip to a small village, nearly getting uncovered by the village's "defense team" or what the hell, almost getting trapped into an evil system of vampires that force labor onto everyone and kill for giggles, discovering they were actually turned at the same event (unpleasant memory for Quackity, it was the entire village too- and only some-he doesn't like talking about it, he doesn't like talking about vampire turning in general)

Haha lowkey sucks to be Quackity though because he ends up having to turn a human companion into a vampire in order to save them from forever being six feet under. Sooo yeah, he saves their life and reconsiders the 'rules' of turning :]

oh and yes... I nearly forgot...

THE ROMANCE.

Sooo it'll start sometime after they've actually become friends and gotten to know each other. Come on you guys. And yeah, some nice tension here and there that will probably and eventually be resolved. A nice little confession of feelings too, I love those.

They'll be the best of little vampire boyfriends.

Okay minus the drabbles in my tnt duo drabble work, I havve this small, small sliver of writing that was most likely the start of chapter one:

It grows increasingly eerie in the woods, night engulfing everything in darkness as the forest creeps, nearly alive when the wind howls- literally- and the very faint and smudged shadows tricking the eye into seeing something else.

But when he kicks it, ready to fight and defend himself, he quickly finds out it's a plant, nothing more than some strange-looking fern type of plant, that's it.

Woo, how informative and lengthy was that?

Anywhoo, that is my cquackbur vampire au how do we feel

Chapter 7: actor au

Notes:

guys like i came up with this on the spot in the discord so just beware of the awful quality of this I'm just copying it

Chapter Text

au where there is no bad ending idea from me: two famous actors meet once a like idk some event, like a gala or something i dont care, and people think its funny how they sort of dont quite get along (they have some opposing personality traits as well as some personality traits that are the same that causes issues- example: they're both stubborn so yeah that causes issues) and from there any time they see each other its kinda like that. subtle 'i dont really like you' that doesn't go unmissed by the cameras and such. THEEEENNn whoever person you want the pov to be from talks with their agents (idk how acting works) and accepts to play a role offered to them by some director. TURNS OUT the other actor is also going to be part of the production

okayyy sooo during the filming of the movie (what roles they play in the movie doesn't really matter, they can be lovers in the movie, or just friends, or like just two background characters IDK) they obviously have to be around each other more, BUUUt that sort of leads to endearing moments that has both characters like 'no no, that was not cute because this person is lowkey ew'

but like, they're totally starting to like each other

nd after a while, when they are both at some publicity event or whatever, promotional meet up for their upcoming movie, it's like lowkey totally obvious that they don't 'not like' each other anymore and actally, which ever one is most in love at this point, its totally written on their face. like theres deffo gonna be a twitter post with a clip like "OMG CHARCTER NAME TOTALLY JUST BIT THEIR LIP? IM NOT THE ONLY ONE SEEING THIS RIGHT??" -insert clip-

ermmmm sooo they like each other right? but they dont like the fact that they like each other. plus they dont think the other one would ever like them back

SO WAIT HOLD UP THEY HAVE TO BE LOVERS IN THE MOVIE BECAUSE HOLD UP

i have an idea for angst

pardon

during the confession in the MOVIE, they both get like hung up because it's not real and they would never actually date

so after one of them is sort of alll upset (but its secretly sadness being covered up because yeah) and it sort of leads to an argument about how they "aren't friends" when the other tries to ask them "whats wrong" (the whats wrong eventually leads to "whats your problem?? " because yknow, the first person is upset

so then now theyre all hurt and shit and their 'friendship' is strained- on a break- per say

but they just have to continue acting like a couple in the movie which lowkey hurts a lot, and then the fans are all like "WHAT HAPPENED" on the internet because the previous clips of "THEY JUST mADE EYE CONTACT WHY CANT SOMEBDY LOOK AT ME LIKE ThAT" have just poof disappeared

okay shit now how do i get out of the angst

yeah oh yeah this stuff takes place over like a year and a half because yknow, movies take a while to make

wait that gives me an idea.....

then comes christmas and theyre finishing up the filming portion of the movie

sooo theyre doing this awkward sort of co-host celebration because they're filming straight onto two days before Christmas

so some people have presents, theres a goody bag for everyone, that shit, but then once the days over (after awkward and sad moments of that 'they just needa talk it out but they are too scared to' type of hurt in your heart moments between them) one of them goes up to the other when they're about to leave, and its all dark and shit outside, and cold, and they say that they have a gift

soooo yeh insert some sort of valuabe and heartwarming gift to make the readers go "AGHHH NO WA NO WAY"" and so like, the other person is like "i cant believe you got this for me, thank you." and is all quietly like "thought u weren't my friend" which leads to this apology of sorts through a lot of blushing where they are all, "i never meant any of that, i wwas just upset at somethig i cant control, so it was extra stupid to take that out on you." WHICH THEN LEADS to them asking like "well what were you upset about" which then leads (x3) to the other person lowkey confessing like "its stupid. its stupid and it wont change anything even it you know, even if its out there- and it should just stay in the movie, its not real, and idk why im even thinking like this shit im sorry"

they are about to leave, tell them to enjoy their present and DASH but then the other character just grabs them (not like harshly but yknow) and is like "im not going to assume anything, but if you are trrying to say what i think you are, then just say it right here or right now" (they think they're about to confess) and this bitch is just all "but would you like me back?" which is technically a confession and so the other one is just like "well is there or is there not a mistletoe above our heads rn?" (there is) so they go "yes" and they kiss BOOOMMM

okay that's all
