Chapter Text

Usually, cherubble would call themself as anything but a morning person.

It was everyday. Every darned day where it would sleep all the time, just to stay at least dazed at night. The other people, especially in the fire oasis, weren't quite alright with it; they all either thought it was dead or fainted, no in between.

However, for Woolabee, he didn't find a problem with the mythical unusual sleeping schedules. Ever since the sleepy-head moved from its natural home, and lived with her, he adapted to his new hotel-mate. Each time they practiced their music abilities, Cherubble would sigh in peace, and so Woolabee would hug them as a response. Once it was over, late at night, they would come back to the hotel, getting ready for a new day.

Now, the hotel wasn't the most beautiful, or the best hotel they could afford, the fire monster-human only had a few coins as well as 2 or 3 diamonds, while Cherubble lost them all ever since a specific friend made a prank to it a while ago back in mythical island. It still didn't matter, after all, they were happy together there.

Entering to the wooded door, the couple would stay in a room, perfect for both the mythical and the fire-ish one. In the left bed; Woolabee's, it shone in the warmest, comfortable colors, as if a rainbow accidentally hit it. There was also a small desk in the left, adorned with a bird-shaped lamp, having the same warm colors as the bed, as well as some books and posters of his favorite music groups from the other lands. Beautiful, vibrant, chaotic. Just as she liked.

Cherubble's part, by the other hand, was anything but vibrant.

Instead, the lamp's light was toned in such cool, calm ones, perfect for the sleepyhead. The dark-purple tones from their pillows, as well as the muted-toned sheets helped to comfort it each time it sleeps; for the mythical, the only bright things it would enjoy were their plushies. The plushies, four seahorse-like creatures at a square-shaped pillow; each one having a different color, so comforting and soft to sleep with; without them, Cherubble wouldn't even try to close its eyes at bed. Unlike Woolabee, they didn't appreciate bands that much, instead, they would have preferred to read bedtime stories, especially fairytales.

As the bird clock marked 10 in the night, the two prepared themselves for the next day, leaving their harpes with each other, on the same sides as how each bed was placed. Once they took a bath and changed clothes, Woolabee would brush her curly hair a little, just to then check up Cherubble.

Yet; it would almost always fall asleep as soon as it layed down on bed. The fire-one would do nothing but smiling, maybe chuckling if he had to. Cherubble looked so cute…and so that was how their days went by for weeks and weeks…

Remembering said moments, Woolabee sighed, seeing the picture of her with the mythical. Ever since it left the oasis just to come back to its natural home, he has been seeing pictures and memories of them, while having a small, white seahorse plushie that it gave him right before leaving as a goodbye gift.

The person may be gone, but the memories will last forever in his head…
