“Honestly, you'd think he'd learn to just let it happen at this point.” Ana dropped Jack onto the floor next to Gabriel unceremoniously, shaking her head.

Sombra laughed from where she was sitting a few feet away. “At least Gabe doesn’t try to run anymore.”

“Jack is too stubborn to know when it’s time to give up.” She sat down next to Sombra, removing her mask as she did. 

“Makes it fun.”

“You haven’t been dealing with it for decades.”

Sombra just shrugged.

It took almost another hour for Jack and Gabriel to wake up, groaning and grunting as they sat up.

“I think we overdid it.”

“They deserved it, might have knocked some sense into them.”

“You're cruel to them.”

“They're my brothers, it's my job to be cruel to them.”

Jack was the first to collect himself enough to speak. "Ana why are you like this?" 

“Because you're both idiots.”

“He hates me.” He gestured towards Gabriel as he spoke.

The man in question turned to face him. “What gave you that idea?”

“You shot me!”

“You shot at me first!”

“I did not!”

“Yes you-!”

“Boys.” Ana cut in before the shouting could get much louder.

The result was instant, both of them falling silent and heads snapping towards her.

“Get your shit together.”

“But-”

She held a hand up. “Take those masks off, look each other in the eye and talk. Not shout. Talk. ”

They glanced at each other before looking back at Ana.

She stared back at them. “I’m in no rush.”

It took a whole five minutes of staring before they finally gave in and removed the masks.

At least that's how it felt.

It could have been longer but none of them were watching the clock.

Ana watched expressions instead of listening to what was being said; she had no care for knowing what they were discussing, just that they weren't about to start fighting. She was glad that they were willing to talk, for a brief moment she had worried that they were either going to refuse to talk or just shout at each other. As much as she lived for chaos, she never wanted to do anything to create a bigger gap between them, this was all a heavy-handed attempt at getting them to at least try to reconcile.

Sombra was chatting idly in her ear, discussing anything and everything that came to her mind - even if all Ana did was nod along to most of it. The woman was happy to gossip about the different things she had heard and Ana wasn’t going to stop her.

Eventually, Ana glanced over to see the pair leaning against each other. “Give us a moment?” She muttered to Sombra who, in turn, disappeared off to god knows where.

She stood up and moved over to them. “Better now?” While the tone came out teasing, she also meant it genuinely; she worried for the both of them.

They each grunted out an affirmative before Jack reached out, grabbing hold of her hand and pulling down to join them. “Get in here.” The two wrapped her in a hug.

She didn't try to fight it, pulling them close. “Please stop being idiots.” 

“We’re not-”

“Yes we are, Jack.”

“...Yeah, we are.”
