Chapter Text
Sierra walks around with Cliff, trying to avoid looking at him and listening to what he was saying at the same time.
She knew if she looked at his face, she wouldn't stop staring and make it weird.
"You'll get used to it, I know it'll be a little rough, but I believe in you." Cliff smiles.
Sierra gulps quietly. "Thanks. For all this." She says.
Cliff shrugs. "Not my first time training newbies."
Sierra's eyes couldn't help but travel to his muscular chest and arms. She imagined how tightly he would hug her to him and hold her.
"Sierra!" Candela's voice cut her thoughts short, making the brunette jump.
"S-Sorry, Cliff, can we stop so I can use the bathroom?" Sierra asks.
"Oh yeah, sure." Cliff replies, gesturing to a nearby small shack, with a blue door and a pink door.
"Thanks." Sierra says before rushing to the pink door. She presses her earpiece. "What is it Candela?"
"You won't believe what Blanche found on Kaito!" Candela says.
"What? What is it?" Sierra gasps.
"The pictures we found on Giovanni's computer, they're plans to expand the range of Guide." Blanche says. "They'll go as far as Skylume City."
Sierra's jaw drops. "That far?!" She asks. "That's practically on the other side of the world! They can't!"
"They can't if we stop them." Spark says. "You gotta make a move, Sierra, and you gotta do it now."
"I've only been here one day!" Sierra replies, exasperated. "What am I supposed to do?!"
"Anything, just do something!" Spark snaps back.
"Sierra? Everything okay?" Sierra hears Cliff's voice outside the door.
"Coming!" Sierra calls back. "We'll talk later." and with that, she presses her earpiece.
She opens the door to see Cliff. "Sorry, uh...monthly visitor problems." She lies.
Cliff cringes just a bit. "Oh got it, no problem. Come on, I'll take you where the activity is increased."
Sierra's mind races. Did Giovanni really think he could monitor Skylume City? It was a grand city, with a huge population. A population she was sure enjoyed their freedom.
She wasn't going to let it happen.
