Chapter Text
It was the middle of my 'date' with James when I saw the news. I shot an apologetic look to James and he nodded at me, understanding that I had to go. I flashed into my super-suit and flew off my balcony toward the plane. It took maybe about a minute before I was flying at the front of the plane, trying to hold it up as I heard someone fly beside me. "Need a hand?" The voice asked as I turned to see my baby cousin, Clark, or well, Superman.
"Hey, Cuz!" I said with a smile. He smiled and said "It's good to see you!" He said as I nodded before turning my attention back to the plane. I put my supergirl persona back on, "This looks like a job for the both of us," I said and he nodded and said "Absolutely," before flying to the back of the plane and using his freeze breath to cool down the overheated engines. We both held and pulled the plane down to get it to land. After a few minutes, the plane landed, I flew into the sky and onto the street, with Clark following.
I squealed and smiled while jumping up and down "That was awesome!" I yelled and He looked back at the plane confused "Wh-" he started but I cut him off as I got closer, "I mean that was terrible!-" I started "Right-" He said chuckling "But it was awesome!" I said again he smiled.
"We've never saved anything together!" I said with a huge grin on my face. "I know!" he said with a nod and grinning. "I dreamt of the moment." I said facing my cousin. "The two of us teaming up.." I said with a smaller smile, "Me too," he said as I turned my head to the people who had just stopped behind us in shock. I looked back to my cousin with a grin.
"I usually say 'Hi'" I said and he nodded "Me too," as we both turned back to the family, and began walking a bit closer. "Way to go, Supergirl!" The little girl praised me. "That Superman!" The adult male said with his phone out, either recording or taking pictures, or both. "I use to change his diapers," I said "No way!" The little girl asked in disbelief. Clark scoffed and got closer to me and said "Not exactly sure you had to tell them that," in my ear. I grinned for like the 5th time, "No, I really think I do," I said nodded my head "Okay," he said smiling.
I walked into the DEO announcing my presence "Hey, everybody! I'm back!" I said walking down the stairs, "Listen up!" I added as Clark/Superman flew in causing everyone too look and stare in shock. They all cleared the pathway, separating into two lines. Clark gave them all a nod. Wanting to ease the tension in the room, "Everyone this is my cousin, Su-" I started But stopped myself with "I guess you already know.." I said grimacing and cursing myself mentally. Me and Clark both smiled, before Clark began getting everyone and shaking their hands. "I just want to thank you all for your hard work. Protecting Earth," He spoke with a small smile. "Oh, brother," I said and he chuckled.
"Did you know she was bringing him here?" J'onn asked Alex. "No." She replied looking at him. "Is that a problem?" She asked causing him to look at her. "Ohhhh, he's coming toward me," Winn said as he began freaking out, "Winn! This is my cousin, Superman!" I said as Clark smiled once again, "Hi" He said offering Winn a handshake. "I-I have a million questions," He dragged out, breathing very heavily.
"Okay.. When Lex Luthor set off the earthquake in California, did you gauge the focal depth with your x-ray vision?" Winn rambled "Winn, breath," I said holding him in place as he looked at me with a small smile. Alex pulled Winn back a little as Clark smiled even wider, "Alex" He spoke as he pulled her into a hug, "It's good to see you," he said as she patted his back, "You too," she spoke, "Kara told me, Jeremiah may be alive, and you know your father means a lot to me, so..." He said "If there's anything I can do," he added as Alex nodded. "Thank you, Clark." She said as she gave him a small smile. She backed away some as Clark's eyes met J'onn, who's arms were crossed. "J'onn." said Clark as he gave him a tight lipped smile. "Superman. Nice to see you, again." Clark looked like he wanted to crush J'onn.
"Oh, don't worry. I won't be staying long," Superman said as me and Alex shared a look, both confused at the tension that was quickly. created. "Uh, I just invited Superman, to visit our mystery guest," I said as J'onn looked at me, before looking back at Clark, "Follow me," He grumbled and Clark followed him. "What's with those two?" I asked as Alex walked over to me, "Beats me," she said and I sighed. "Your cousin smells terrific.." She said and I shuddered in disgust, "Enough," I said shaking my head in disgust, as if someone placed Kale in front of me. I looked at Alex in disbelief. Before flying up to where Clark was, "He landed on Earth last night, in a kryptonian pod." I said walking into the room. "We don't know who he is," I added as we both sighed.
Clark standing in his Superman pose, asked, "Did you try using a Quantum scan to determine his age?" and I nodded, "First thing we did," I said, "And you x-ray visioned him for foreign objects, like a, cybernetic data core?" He asked looking at me, "I- uh- of course," I stammered, "You should probably go do that," He said chuckling and I hummed in agreement before doing as told. "Nope, no data core," I said as Winn walked in causing us both to turn and look at him, "So my handy translator just finished encrypting the pod's data log. Now it seems, sleeping beauty, on his journey from Krypton, passed through something called, the Segara Beyals," He said showing us his tablet screen, "The well stars," I said, "My father took me there once," I added as they looked at me, "Time doesn't pass there, so, that's why he's still so young," as Winn opened his arms, "Oh." he said looking at the male, who was unconscious. "Oh and, speaking of age, Superman, you're 12 years older than Kara, right? Cause you do not look it," He said and I snorted, as Clark answered. "Kryptonians age at a much slower rate here on Earth." He said dodging the question as I smirked.
Winn grinned, "You look great," he said as his face turned a little red. Oh my, he's blushing. J'onn cleared his throat, "When you're finished, we have something more important to talk about," he spoke up, causing us all too look at him. "What?" I asked "The Venture," He said as he began walking with his hands on his hips. That's my pose. Why's he doing my pose.
I was shocked. I had absolutely no idea, that LENA LUTHOR was this pretty, hot, and admiring, stunning, oh, I could go on. Me and Clark walked into Lena's office, his gaze was cold, as mine had a little more emotion in it. Not because I thought Clark was being too hard on her, but because, I don't believe anyone should be judged by their families mistakes. Clark wasn't when I was affected by Red-K. It had turned me into a monster, just like Lex was. And yet, everyone still trusted him. Clark and I followed Ms. Luthor in her office, "There''s a perfectly reasonable explanation for why I wasn't on the Venture," She said as she walked over the her silver rack and placed her coat on it, "That's why we're here," Clark said in response. "It was an emergency regarding a ceremony I'm holding tomorrow. I'm renaming my families company and I had to cancel," She said as she removed the hair from her face. I had to admit, again, this woman was gorgeous as heck.
'Stop it, Kara. You don't even know her' I thought to myself as I slightly shook my head to remove the thoughts. "Oh, lucky." said Clark. Dammit, I forgot he was here too, "Lucky is Superman saving the day," She chuckled, "Not something one would expect a Luthor to say," Clark said chuckling, but you could tell it was half-real. I fiddled with my notepad, "A-and Supergirl was there too," I said shocking myself as I spoke. She turned to me and raised an eyebrow, "And who are you exactly?" she asked with a smile as she walked over to her cabinet which she poured herself a glass of water, "Um, um, I-I'm Kara Danvers. I'm not with the Daily Planet, I'm with Catco Magazine, sorta," I stammered, earning a weird look from Kal-el to which I shrugged off.
"That's a publication not known for it's heard-eating journalism. It's more like, high-waisted jeans, yes or no?" She spoke up as she walked over to marble desk. It fit her. We looked eyes for a moment, "Um, um, I'm just- tagging along today," I said and she nodded as she looked at her papers, "Right, can we just speed this interview along, and just ask what you want to ask, Mr. Kent? You want to know if I had anything to do with what happened to the Venture," She spoke as she picked up her pen and began scanning over the documents that were in front of her. She looked back up at us, as Kal- Clark drew in a breath as he spoke, "Did you?" He asked as in a light tone, though you could hear the venom masked underneath, "You wouldn't be asking if my last name was 'Smith", She said as Clark jaw tightened, "Ah, but it's not. It's Luthor," He said as I held onto the pen tighter. The sound of lightning cackling through the sky made all of us look out of the window. For some reason I decided to listen to Lena's heartbeat and how it was beating very fast but slowed down just as quickly,I had also noticed, that when this happened, the lightning and thunder began to stop.
'Weird,' I think to myself, as Lena turned back to us, "Some steel under that Kansas whit." She said as Clark gave her a very tight lipped smile, I kicked his foot a little, an she looked at me confused, but I ignored him and Listened to what Ms. Luthor had to say, It wasn't always, I was adopted into the Luthor family when I was 4, The person who made me feel most welcomed was Lex. He made me proud to be a Luthor..." She said as she locked eyes with me one more time, I gave her a small nod, silently telling her to continue, "Then he went on his reign of terror, in Metropolis," she said turning her chair around causing both Clark and I too lower our glasses and use our X-ray vision. It wasn't that I didn't trust her, because for a very strange reason I did, but because It's my job.
"And declared war on Superman, committed unspeakable crimes...When Superman put Lex in Jail, I vowed to take back my family's company... To rename L-corp. And Make it a force for good," she said as she clicked on her remote thingy. The L-corp logo spun around for like 2 seconds before stopping fully, I looked at Clark as he stared at the screen, he looked at me before turning his attention back to he very beautiful Luthor at hand. I saw her crack a small smile in my direction, it was almost as if she heard what I was thinking.
'Weird' I thought to myself, "I'm just a woman trying to make a name for herself outside of her family, can't you understand that?" She asked and I nodded, "Yeah," I said as Clark looked at me with a raised eyebrow, "I know why you're here," She said, "Because, the subsidiary of my company made the part that exploded on the Venture," She spoke walking over to a shelf that had a row full of thumb drives, she plucked one from the other 7, "This drive contains all the information we have on the oscillator. I hope it helps you on your investigation," She said handing the drive to Kal-el. He looked back at me and I looked down, "Thank you," I heard him say, it was the first thing he'd said ever since we walked into this office, that was actually genuine. "Give me a chance, Mr. Kent. I'm here for a fresh start, let me have one," She said her voice almost sounding desperate. Again, Clark gave her a tight smile, here we go again with the fakeness, I rolled my eyes at my cousins antics.
"Good day, Ms. Luthor," He said as he walked away, the blonde following him in tow but not before stopping and turning around, "Have a great day, Ms. Luthor. And I'm sorry about Clark, he can be a little much, sometimes." She said as I shook my head, "It's all fine, Ms. Danvers," she replied with a small smile. I smiled at her one last time before walking out her office. I quickly caught up to Clark before he even noticed I wasn't behind him at first.
A few Hours Later
I and Clark had been stopping the drones that flooded through National City. I made my way to Lena as fast as I could. Something telling me deep down that I have to do any and everything in my power to keep her safe. And that's exactly what I am and will continue to do. I flew and smashed 2 drones before a 3rd came from nowhere and blasted a missile toward Lena, I quickly flew in front of it as it knocked me out. I crashed down unconscious. I grunted in pain as I impacted with the ground, "Come on, Kara, wake up," I heard Lena whisper quietly.
'How did she-' it didn't matter as my eyes snapped open and I saw a drones shooting toward Lena's helicopter. She screamed and I took that as my cue to fly up and smash the drone to pieces. I then flew toward the helicopter and pulled it down as Lena shut it down. when it finally touched the ground, Lena removed her headphone thingies. I opened the door to the helicopter and saw a panting Lena, "You're safe now," I said "What the hell was that?" She asked confused and scared, it caused her accent to become thicker, "Someone's trying to kill you," she said as she looked at me and at the now dead pilot. Her eyes seemed to be wandering around as I began notice the thunder coming back. That's when it hit me, she could control it. I cupped her face, softly, "Breath," I said and she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, the lightning and thunder began fading, "Thank you, Kara," she said, and I stumbled over words, "Oh, please, I'm not stupid, a 4 year-old could see it. Plus you two have the same crinkle." She said as her fingers brushed my crinkle. I was at a lost for words. "Let's get you out of here," I said as I moved to the side she was at and opened the door to the helicopter for her, "Such a gentlewoman," she teased as I felt heat flow to my cheeks, "Only for you~" I teased back and she chuckled a bit.

Chapter Text
Kara walked into L-corp with Lena by her side as they made their way to the brunettes office. They had agreed to talk about somethings and here they were.
Kara took a seat at the chair that sat opposite of Lena's desk. Lena sat in her chair, behind her desk as she leaned forward slightly with her hands clasped together. Kara's eyes seemed to drift down to the cleavage, as Lena began speaking, "So, I guess it's safe to say, that we both have things-" she started as she realized Kara wasn't listening to what she was saying. Lena's eyes followed Kara's gaze and she smirked. Lena let out a small chuckle, "Kara," She spoke, but there wasn't a reply, "Kara!" Lena said a bit louder which Kara looked up at her eyes and blushed a bit, "I'm sorry, what were you saying," she asked with her full attention.
Lena bit her lip, "I said, we both have things that we need to discuss," She spoke as she gazed into Kara's hetetrochomic eyes. Kara fiddled with her glasses, "Right... Should I start, or you?" she asked the pale woman. If it weren't for her heartbeat, the warmth of her skin, Kara would've assumed that Lena was a vampire, but then again, what Vampire breathes? What Vampire is warm? What Vampire can control Lightning and Thunder?
"You can start," Lena said as she began listening to every words Kara had to say. "Well, Uhm, my name is Kara Zor-el Danvers, I'm a kryptonian, but also I'm Rao's- our sun God, I'm his reincarnate." I said as I looked down, my voice lowering a bit at the last part. Lena looked at me in shock but there was a glint in her eyes that wasn't there before.
"I-I came to Earth around 24, almost 25 years ago, when I was 13. I came here, along side my baby cousin, who you may know as Superman-" Kara started but there was something about the sentence that shocked Lena, "Superman is your LITTLE cousin?" She asked in shock as Kara nodded, "Well, yes, but on Earth he's older, since he's been here longer." Kara explained to the confused brunette.
Lena nodded, urging The Kryptonian to continue, "We came here because our planet exploded. Obviously since Kal-El, Superman, got here before me, things didn't go as planned." Kara paused what she was saying, making sure Lena was still listening to her.
"The shock wave of my planet, knocked my pod, or well, ship, off course, and into the Phantom Zone. Time doesn't pass there, so when I finally had been freed from the prison, I came to Earth, it was like I had just come back from Krypton. I was still the same age, height, weight, all of it was the same. So, imagine being mentally 37 but physically 13. It was rough. When I landed, Kal-el found me, and brought me to my adoptive family, the Danvers. And from there is history," Kara said as she fiddled with her glasses, "So to sum it up, You are a refugee, whose home was destroyed, you were sent into an unknown space black out zone, and when you finally got out, your only real, blood related family, dumped you with someone else?" Lena said as she tilted her head, "Yeah! Exactly!" Kara said with a bitter sweet smile on my face.
She sighed, and got up from her chair as she walked over to her cabinets and poured 2 glasses of something, "Here," She said as she handed the blonde the glass, "Oh, I can't get drunk of human alcohol," She spoke as Lena raised her eyebrow, "Who said it was human alcohol?" Lena said, "Oh? OH!" Kara said as she took the glass with a look of realization. Kara drank almost all of the non-human liquid as Lena walked back to her seat with a smirk playing on her lips.
"So what exactly are you?" Kara asked as Lena's smirk began to fade from her face, "To be honest? Not entirely sure. But, if am I correct about my theory, I am a Demi-god," she spoke hesitantly, and Kara looked at her in shock, "Zeus' daughter, be exact," Lena said as Kara eyes widened in shock even more.
Kara bowed her head slightly to Lena, who was quite puzzled at her actions. Kara, noticing the look on Lena's face, explained, "On Krypton, when in the presence of a Godly being, you must bow," Lena chuckled, "Well, then, if it's tradition," Lena started as she bowed her head to Kara, "You are Rao's reincarnate, are you not?" Lena asked much to Kara's protest.
"How about we just pretend that we aren't technically Gods, and just talk, ay?" Lena spoke and Kara quickly agreed, eager to change the subject.
Chapter 3
Summary:
Lena saves Kara.
Chapter Text
"Where the hell is she?" Lena asked aggressively as she walked into the DEO, shocking Alex, J'onn, Winn, Kal-el, who was visiting for Kara, and Mon-el, who recently woke up a few days ago, with her presence, "Ms. Luthor, how did you find out about this place and manage to get passed security?" J'onn asked as he walked toward Lena, his gaze sharper than it's ever been. "That doesn't matter, where the hell is Kara?" Lena asked through gritted teeth, "I know you guys don't trust me, but, I'm here to help, not to cause any damage," She added cautiously, "Follow me," J'onn said after a few moments of silence.
He walked her into the sun room where Kara laid on the sunbed under the sunlamps, passed out.
"The kryptonite in the air, is making it hard for her to breathe. And we can't help her considering we can't remove the kryptonite from the air," Alex spoke as Lena got closer, "Kara..." Lena spoke lowly. She reached into her bag and pulled out a diamond shaped blue box, "What's that?" Alex asked wanting to protect her little sister, "An anti-kryptonite suit," She spoke as she placed it on Kara's chest and tapped it twice. The nano-technology instantly formed around Kara. They waited patiently in a very tense silence.
A few moments later, Lena perked up to the sound of a gasp.
"Lena?" Kara said out of breath as she realized Lena was there, "Kara," Lena said as she hugged the Kryptonian, "Thank God, you're okay," Lena spoke as she held the blonde Kryptonian, "What the hell is this thing?" Kara asked as she sat up on the sun bed. Lena rolled her eyes, "That thing, is the reason you're awake," she spoke matter of factly, "Oh... You made this?" Kara asked as she looked up at the other Demi-God. Lena nodded.
"Kara, you'll need to stay in the suit until we find a way to remove the kryptonite," Winn spoke, "Alright, you don't need to wear it all that long then," Lena said causing them all to look to her, "I can make a device, it's like a vacuum but much smaller and more effective, it'll remove the kryptonite from the atmosphere, but I need some help and the elements to held it," Lena spoke as Kara stood from the bed, "I can help with that-" Kara started but was quickly cut off, "Sit back down," Alex ordered her sister who was about to fall, "I'm fine, Alex" Kara said as she winced at the feeling of her ribs tingle, "Maybe you should sit back down, Kara," Superman spoke, "Would you all relax? Rao," Kara then noticed the look on Lena's face. It made her shiver. The lights began flickering causing them all to look up, distant thunder and lightning cackled outside, "Kara Zor-el, sit the fuck down, or so God help me, I will shock the hell out you," Lena spoke glaring at her and Kara quickly obeyed not wanting to feel the wrath of one angry Lena Luthor.
"You've got to teach me how to do that," Alex spoke and Lena chuckled, "What was the thing with the lights and thunder?" Mon-el spoke, "Don't worry about that," Lena spoke before looking back at the Kryptonian, "You need to rest," Lena said, "I'm fine." Kara said as she smiled at Lena, who raised an eyebrow.
"Oh, really?" She asked as she poked the Blonde who winced. "That's what I thought. You need at least 30 more minutes under the sun lamps," Lena spoke glaring at the hero. "Lena can I speak with you in the hall?" Alex asked and Lena looked at her before nodding. Lena followed the agent into the hall.
"I'm gonna make this plain and simple. Hurt my sister- in any way, I will kill you. Do you understand?" Alex threatened and Lena chuckled, "I know you're wary of me- and you should be. But I would never hurt Kara. Everything I've done was an effort to help her."
"Good. Now, tell me how you got her to listen," Alex spoke jokingly as Lena laughed a little, "No, I'm serious! She never listens to me," Alex spoke almost pouting, "You two really are sisters," Lena said causing Alex to frown, "Did you ever doubt that?" Alex asked the scientist, "A little touch of Zeus." Lena replied deciding to answer Alex's question. To say Alex was confused, was an understatement, though she shrugged. Alex was snapped out of her thoughts by a Kryptonian and Daxamite, exiting the sun room, "I don't trust her," Superman said and Alex rolled her eyes, "I don't either," Mon-el replied and Alex scoffed "You're just saying that because Lena's a Luthor," Alex said as she pointed in Clark's direction, "And you, You're just saying that because Lena's closer to Kara than you will ever be," Alex said as she looked at Mon-el.
"You need to learn how to not judge people based on the actions of their family. Did anyone Judge you when you and Kara go on your rampage terrorizing the city when infected by Red Kryptonite? Didn't think so. So, back the hell off Lena's," Alex glare as she went back into the sun room. Kara and Lena were both smiling at her, "Thank you, Alex," Lena spoke, "You heard that?" Alex asked in shock and Lena nodded, "As I said, a little touch of Zeus," Lena smirked as she held up her hand and electricity danced around it. Leaving Alex in shock once again, as a giggling Kara started at Lena.
