Reunion: Kid vs Kat Edition

Summary:

Coop Burtonburger reunited with his biological mother after not seeing her for 7 years.

(THERE IS NO PARENT-CHILD SEXUAL CONTENT IN THIS STORY! I DON'T WRITE INCEST!)

Notes:

Hear me out, I was aware of that Fanfiction where Coop Burtonburger was having the thing with his mom and it was absolutely disgusting. I think it got someone upset or something, this is the last time I'm talking about that fanfiction.

Also, there has been incestuous and parent-child sexual stories as well on this fandom and it's completely unacceptable. What where they thinking? What gave them the inspiration to write those? I cannot explain more but my main priority is to write good stories of the fandom. If I were to ever write anything NSFW, it would be another fandom or my own work.

If there's anything else that I can't write of Kid vs Kat, let me know in the comments. Thank you and enjoy the story. :)

Work Text:

"Hey mom," Coop said as he walked inside his mom's house, Maryanne was confused about why was her child with her today. Coop looked a lot like his father and it reminded her of what happened "It's so good to see you again." Coop continued, trying to hug her but she had to do some work before asking "What are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be with your father?"

"I just... Left home and wanted to come see you mom." Coop said "Can I stay with you tonight?" Maryanne didn't know what to do, she was so confused about the fact that she was going to look after a child but this might be an opportunity to spend some time with her son, who she hasn't seen in 7 years because of divorce.

"Um mom?" Coop asked "Can I spend the night with you? Like you know, watch a movie or go to the park?" Maryanne smiled and said "Sure Coop. But first, let me get ready for our quality time together, as mother and son." Coop nodded as he said "Let's keep it, family goodness." Maryanne responded "I know what you're talking about."

...

As Coop Burtonburger and Maryanne were walking around the park while Coop Burtonburger explained about his life "So my little sister, Millie... She adopted a cat, named Mr. Kat," Coop Burtonburger explained "That cat kept ruining my life but playing the victim on the spotlight, I was starting to feel... Unappreciated in the family."

"Oh dear Cooper," Maryanne said "I'm so sorry for what happened... Do you want to know why I wasn't around?" Coop nodded, they found a bench and Maryanne sat down "Your father and I got divorced, because we became somewhat distant from each other and because I was a very busy person at my job, I couldn't look after you or Millie."

"So dad gained full custody of me and Millie?" Coop asked his mom, who nodded with sadness "Yes, I was supposed to pay child support but your father wanted nothing to do with me and just took you and Millie away from me. I've been waiting for years for at least you or Millie to come back and stay with me but... You came."

"I did," Coop said "I'm so happy for you to see your child again." Coop gave his mom a hug, hugging her like a pillow and the two hugged before starting walking around the park again, for some fresh air.

As they chatted, they saw the long small river, Coop Burtonburger ran to the river, took off his shoes and gently placed his feet onto the water. "Ohh! It's cold!" Coop said, hating the temperature of the water, Maryanne giggled. She remembered how much her son hated cold water but he probably already got used to it.

"Don't worry son," Maryanne said "Do you want some company or you got this?" Coop looked back at his mom and said "I'm okay, just relax and let me play alone in the water."

Maryanne sat down on the grass and watched as her son was playing with his imagination of adventure. She misses him. She finally got a chance to reunite with him after all these years.

Coop left the water and realized that he's all wet from playing in the water "Oops! Did we forget to bring towels?"

"You're in Kid," Maryanne said "I always bring towels for the occasion." She pulled out 3 towels and gave two to her son. Coop Burtonburger laid one of the towels onto the ground and dried himself up with the other towel. After drying himself up, Coop rested with his hair wet and Maryanne said "Look at you, all grown up."

"Yeah, life without you wasn't very simple," Coop said "I always questioned who my mom was and why I didn't have one... I'm eleven years old now and for seven years, I never got a chance to see her. From my earliest memory of you, mom... You were arguing with my dad about, something that has to do with money or was it divorce?"

"It was about divorce," Maryanne said "Your father and I became distant with each other because of my job. Somehow, I left my job and became a manager of a small business here."

"You're still single or something, like after you divorced my dad... Are you still lonely?" Coop asked, curious if his mom was still in a relationship with someone new. Maryanne shook her head "No, I decided to stay single. For my own safety and privacy."

"Okay, I have a girlfriend." Coop said to his mom "Her name is Fiona Munson, I usually call her Fiona. She's related to Old Lady Munson, you know... That old lady next door?"

"I know what you're talking about," Maryanne said, giggling "We didn't get along back then and when I had Millie, I was confused about why Old Lady Munson preferred her better. Which was strange."

"I don't know why Old Lady Munson hates me or dad," Coop explained "What did I do to deserve her hatred?" Maryanne didn't have an answer for her son's question, maybe she knows but it's been a very long time since she last saw Old Lady Munson. She doesn't remember why she preferred Millie Burtonburger, like why?

"Well Coop..." Maryanne said "Let's head back to my house, or should we go somewhere to eat?" Coop looked back at his mom and said "Um... I'm actually tired, is there a guest bedroom or something?"

"I have a spare bedroom," Maryanne said to her son "Let's go home and did you bring any spare clothes with you while you left Bootsville?" Coop nodded, he did indeed bring some spare clothes, just in case he were ever to use them. He didn't bring his Captain Blastroid collection because he didn't have enough space for his bookbag and he didn't bring anything but his clothes and other accessories.

"Yes I did mom." Coop said, smiling before getting up and headed out with his mom back to her car. They went back home for Coop Burtonburger to change into his new clothes after showering and came downstairs to see his mom watching some television.

"Hey mom," Coop said, walking towards her "Have you ever thought of having custody of me or something?" Maryanne looked at her son and said "I haven't... Maybe I can but I'll need a lawyer or something. I'm not too familiar with any of those things."

"Makes sense but I'll be here until tomorrow because... Although it's summer vacation, I do want to spend the summer with you." Coop said "As mother and son, you know... Nothing bad."

"I know, I do hope I can get back together with your father," Maryanne said "I've missed him... I also miss my young little princess, Millie Burtonburger." Coop smiled, he hated his sister but she could secretly care for him. Who knows but he would do anything to stay with his mom, only for the summer vacation.

He was so happy to reunite with his mom, wishing that she was able to take care of him... For now, he'll come back to Bootsville when it's over.

Notes:

Here's my version of what Coop and Millie's Mom could be (This is my version):

Full Name: Maryanne Hailey Davies

Age: 38 years old

Birthday: July 23

Relationship: Single (Previously married to Burt Burtonburger but got divorced because of lack of communication and busyness with her job)

Children: 2 (Cooper Davies Burtonburger and Millie Burtonburger)

Siblings: Marianne Daisy Davies (Older Twin Sister By 10 Minutes)

Lives in: Bentonville (Well used to)

Personal Life:
Maryanne Hailey Davies was born on July 23 with her older twin sister, Marianne Daisy Davies, who is 10 minutes older than her. Her parents are normal and her life was normal, nothing bad in her childhood and she met Burt Burtonburger in middle school in English class. The two were friends before they two began dating at the age of 20, married 3 years later and had Coop at 27. At 29 years old, she had Millie Burtonburger. However, life became different after Maryanne became pregnant with Millie. Maryanne worked at a high-tech company with a good income and she became very busy with her job while Burt Burtonburger was a stay-at-home dad, he didn't have a job because most jobs weren't helpful and he didn't have any skills to do any of those jobs. Burt Burtonburger mainly was at home, raising Coop Burtonburger while his wife was working until Millie Burtonburger was born, Maryanne and Burt became very distant with each other due to her job and because of differences in the environment... They got divorced. Maryanne wasn't ready or had the time to look after Coop & Millie so she gave up rights to her children and disappeared without a trace. Burt Burtonburger wasn't happy with the divorce but he had to move on and look after his children without anybody to help him.

Burt Burtonburger heard rumors that his ex-wife passed away, he believed those rumors and told his kids. Millie Burtonburger was too young to understand while Coop Burtonburger wasn't the same anymore. The rumors weren't true because someone made them up, confused for another person who was killed.
