Chapter Text
In the dim and dingy basement room with a prison-like atmosphere they called a meeting room, the zombie girls and our heroes were already gathered, unfazed even after the devastating flood in Saga. Some of the idol zombies were seated in the provided chairs, with Sakura in the middle. Saitama, who appeared to be deep in thought despite his imposing size, caught Ai's attention. Ai decided to offer Saitama a seat next to her, saying, "Please have a seat, sir. You don't have to stand until Tatsumi arrives." Sakura seemed slightly hesitant, but Saitama then noticed an empty chair between Tae and Ai.
As Saitama was about to sit down, just as his buttocks were about to touch the chair, the door swung open, revealing Saki standing there. Ai quickly averted her gaze, and Saki observed Saitama in his rather impressive position as he maintained it.
After a few moments of silence, Saki entered and approached her spot. Saitama stood up, releasing himself from the previously held position in the chair. Saki then tapped Saitama's shoulder and gestured in a way that was incomprehensible to everyone, including Saitama. "Use your words, blondie. I don't understand facial expressions," Saitama said, successfully making Saki burst into laughter but then shake her head.
Saitama saw Saki sitting in the same spot where he intended to sit due to Ai's offer. There were no more available chairs around. Sakura, who was always kind, decided to go and find a chair. She got up from her seat and said, "Saitama-san, I'll go look for a chair..." Just as she said that and started walking towards the door, the door swung open forcefully, causing Sakura's head to fly to the other side of the room. Tae quickly chased after it and... caught it.
A brown-haired man with black glasses and a complete formal attire stood at the door wearing a military hat. He walked in confidently but stumbled over Sakura's body that had been thrown a little when he opened the door. "Arghh! Whose body is this!? Didn't I tell you stupid zombies to keep your bodies from flying all over the place!?" The man's strange outburst was loud enough to hurt their ears, causing some of them to wince and cover their ears, except for Saitama, Yugiri, and Tae who were busy with Sakura's head. In Saitama's mind, he suspected that the seemingly crazy man was their manager.
After the incomprehensible loud shout, the man went to a podium that appeared out of nowhere, as it wasn't there before. He faked a cough to get their attention. Sakura had already returned to her seat with her head reattached to her body. The strange man, according to Saitama, stopped his fake coughing.
"On this long-awaited day, today, you zombies that I resurrected with the purpose of saving Saga, have done your best for Saga these past three months. Therefore, on this day, as the manager... Flourchochou, oh,also known as the legendary Franchouchou, I will make an announcement...", the atmosphere among the zombies became calm, and Saitama, who didn't know what was going on, just observed their manager's behavior. The manager, named Kotaro, took a breath and said, "There's nothing special, you stupid zombies! You will perform and go to the meet and greet event today! That's it! Don't expect anything special for your achievements! So don't expect anything from the fans! Remember that!" Kotaro walked towards them in a military-like manner, looking at each of their faces but stopped in front of Sakura. Kotaro took a breath and shouted in Sakura's face, "Do you understand, SOLDIER!?" Sakura, innocent and startled, trembled in surprise but tried stiffly to show respect and nodded.
"You don't have to shout, she can hear your voice no matter the distance, she's scared like that," Saitama interjected, standing beside the podium now. Kotaro turned around with a military-like movement and looked at him (if it was because of his black glasses), then he smiled and spoke, "Ah, you're here! I didn't expect you to wake up so quickly after being swallowed alive by that big fish. You should be with your other friend to wake up, but it seems you left her," Kotaro's words were enough to pique their curiosity, except for Saki who already knew.
Kotaro, with a graceful exit, disappeared from the meeting room. They spent the next few minutes in silence. "I'm sorry if Kotaro-san was a bit rough, Saitama-san... he's just like that," Sakura's apology broke the silence like a knife passing through. "Your manager is strange, but he's a good guy, right?" Saitama remarked."
He's good! Kotaro-san is good, but he tends to shout and intimidate us a little..." Sakura's response seemed to be only partially agreed upon by the others. "Tatsumi actually cares about us, even cares about Lily. He's just a strange guy, but he works hard for us," Lily's statement made them smile, hearing her enthusiasm. Meanwhile, Saitama observed them. Just then, Kotaro entered carrying two folding metal chairs and had already taken off his military costume, which was actually just a hat and a fake sniper weapon. "I got chairs for you and your friend. I've called your friend, but him will be here shortly. Here are your chairs," Kotaro placed the folding chairs on the right side of Franchouchou, facing the wall on the right side of Franchouchou and opposite the exit door.
Saitama slowly opened the chair, making them skeptical of Saitama's carefulness in opening it. But then, the chair opened easily, although it was a bit rusty and looked like it could break, just like the other chair. Ai decided to ask Kotaro, "So, where is Saitama-san's friend? Are you sure he hasn't arrived yet? Why did you leave him behind?" With his bright smile, Kotaro raised one hand and seemed to count with his fingers, "Just a moment... 1... 2... 3!" Amazingly, right after that, the door opened, and... a man who looked like a cyborg cosplayer...
Saitama stared at him with his usual expression. The man looked surprised and smiled, "Master!","Genos?".
