Chapter Text
In the Hazbin Hotel lobby, lay a sinner, drinking some beer as he watched the TV, most of the channels boring as he clicked away.
Another click.
Another click.
"Oh shit, we got porn on TV, and a hot chick at that? Sweet."
The First Man grins as he watches a sinner in the features of a cheetah get railed by a sinner twice her size.
Despite his enjoyment, others did not share his joy, annoyed at his presence.
How did Adam end up in Hell, you wonder?
Oh, that's simple.
He was done with life, so he went down, hoping to end his existence.
He broke the rules, assaulting the Princess of Hell as he used 5% of his actual strength in their fight.
Then her Daddy came in, and truth be told? He didn't try to fight him, missing with his holy light on purpose.
In his thousands of years of living in Heaven, he had devised ways to damage Seraphim, many spells and weapons specifically built to kill Angels, that said,
Would he win? Nah, he'd lose.
Sure, he would die, but he would have the King of Hell bleed heavily, the Golden Ichor a vast contrast to the red that seemed to make up most of the Pride Ring, definitely catching the attention of the Overlords watching.
Oh, yeah, what were we talking about? Oh, the way I died.
Lucibitch punches me, and then his bitch daughter stops him.
Annoyed, I make up the most shittiest rant of all time.
That was embarrassing, but what other way could he make them kill him?
Then that little sinner got hold of a knife, then well knowhow stabbed the shit out of him.
He could have healed and kept going, but that defeats the point of his Glorified Suicide.
So he smiles at Lute, knowing she will find her peace as he knows the Exterminations would cease, his daughters finally free from the shackles of Heaven, free to live their dreams.
So he thought a Void awaited him.
Or so he thought.
"Well, shit."
That is all Adam has in his mind as he spawned into Hell, the Pride Ring specifically.
"C'mon, God. Didn't you promise me eternal rest?"
No response.
"Yet again, you ignore me, like all the others."
So he walks, knowing his destination, grimacing as he feels no wings on his back.
That hotel with that idiot of a princess and her bitch girlfriend? Ah, what was her name?
Vagina? Yeah, that one.
He laughed as he threw a rock into the air, calculating the gravity in hell.
Ah, very similar to Modern Earth.
"Weakass bitches wouldn't even be capable of walking in the Primordial Ages."
He thinks, not caring for the sinner who tries to backstab him, an intense Gale suffocating the backstabber before throwing him into a trash bin full of...ugh, whatever that is.
"Sorry, you worthless shit!"
He cackles as he throws another rock, this one being 1/10th of his weight.
So after a minute, he lowers himself, all of his weight distributed in his heels.
Then his calves tense.
The next second, a crater swallows a city block as he jumps, breaking the sound barrier.
Then he lands roughly 100-something odd meters from the hotel, a boom following him.
The sudden collision catches the Hotel's attention, and seconds later, Charlie and her Girl come out, weapons out.
Then her dad flies out of his window.
Silence.
"...is that Adam, Dad?"
Adam rolled his eyes, then shifted his attitude, begging them to take him in as he pretended Hell was too much for him
Well, shit, he almost laughed.
The Primordial Earth was so much harder, at least in Hell, you could rest, and take a nap anytime.
In the Elden Ages? Yeah, try walking out for a few minutes, then watch the very World try eating you alive.
You would die instantly.
More reason to suck his dick honestly, and definitely more reason to hate those who chose sin.
But alas, he pretends to be weak, garnering the sympathy of the Whores Daughter.
He thought it would be a few days of convincing to secure his... membership into the Hotel of fucking idiots.
It took 5 minutes to get a room, and barely any rules to stop him from doing what he pleased, The princess believed he was far too weak to be a threat to the other guests.
How in the World did she survive in Hell?
Well, back to the present.
He was watching two dudes rail a girl, their lengths and girth impressive.
But they had no technique so 6/10.
"Hey, asshole, mind not hounding the couch?"
He looks up, Vagina glaring at him.
I could take that other eye out, he thinks as he raises his hand-
-only to hold the top of the couch, sitting normally as he grumbles.
A pitpat of wood graces his ears as that tiny bitch that killed him gets on his lap.
"Oh, Bad Boy!"
She laughs maniacally, her singular eye obsessively zooming into his visage.
This reminded him of Eve, oh well, she'll be a fine replacement.
So he grabs her, his hand swallowing her tiny frame as he ignores the tense faces of Vagina and her porn friend.
Oh, and that cat too.
He lets her sit on his head, the brown locks serving to be a fun toy as Miss Tiny Cyclops starts tying it.
It's oddly comforting, so the Dickmaster lets her.
Vagina begrudgingly sits at his side.
"I still wonder how you got into Heaven with how you treat Women."
"Hey, I did what the Man upstairs told me to do, no need to question that."
He could understand her point, after all, he does treat Women like they're people who are far too emotional.
Well, they kinda are, but that's beside the point.
So he could just forgive it and just let it be in the past like the generous man he is.
However, her next question? Not so much.
"What DID you do for Humanity? What did you do to help? You probably sat on your ass, making your children do all the work for you, making them cook the Grandest of Meals just for you to eat it all up, then sleep on your fatass while they toiled the fields!"
For the First Time in 400 years,
He sees Red.
Chapter Text
When it came to Adam, she felt one of many things.
Irritation at how lackadaisical he was at work.
Rage when he would taunt the hotel, her friends, and most importantly, Charlie.
Satisfaction when the Seraphim would berate him for being lazy.
Joy when Niffty had killed him, left him to die in his blood, the golden contrasting the red floor.
But now? She felt something, something that she never thought came from Adam of all people.
Fear.
Her limbs were shaking, eyes dilated as she backed onto the other end of the couch, only to fall.
As she tries to stand, only for a strong burst
of wind to push her onto her back harshly.
Red Lightning courses through his skin, his teeth bared in a menacing scowl, horns jutting out.
He truly looked the part of a Devil.
He opens his mouth, smoke coming out, and so-
-thus spoke the First Man.
X-x-X
Charlie was in her room, brushing her hair.
Today had an amazing start, her Dad cooking his trade mark pancakes, how even Alastor enjoyed the food, complimenting her Dad for the first time.
Shame her Dad had to leave for a meeting in the Ring of Envy.
One that was not scheduled at all, that's for sure.
Odd, the Leviathan didn't bother with affairs not situated in his ring.
Or for that matter, really do much.
She remembers her first and last meeting with him, 123 years ago.
(Charlie walked in, the Hallways desolate as no light shines through the corridors.
She sees a door emitting gradient light, as if said light was coming from a window.
Curious, she opens the door.
...the room was huge, filled to the brim with beautiful paintings.
But she hears a hum.
She turns her head to the middle of the room and sees It for the very first time.
He was pure white, heavily contrasting the blackness that made up the room.
a Shadow staring at nothing, then he turns his gaze to the new entree of the room.
...It was just standing there, watching her.
His eyes were pure black, no irises to be seen.
Oh, well, She doesn't want to be rude, so she trudges forth.
An air of Malovelance surrounds him, his black irises just moving along with her approaching self.
She felt every part of her body protest the idea of getting closer, but she resisted, after all, this was a similar reaction to meeting the other sins.
But this...was very different, but maybe, just maybe, whoever this was like her Uncles and Aunties.
Maybe, like them, he was misunderstood.
Maybe the Fall to Hell changed it to be worse, maybe if Charlie tried to be patient, it would show her its good side.
...a futile hope, whispered someone in her head.
But she moves on, stopping a good 2 meters away.
The Being, silent, scans her.
"Uhm, I'm Charlie Morningstar, nice to meet you!"
For the First Time, it does something.
It grins.
The very action felt perverted as she backpedals at such a simple gesture.
She hears the doors behind her close, and for the first time in her life, felt...
Fear.
It walks up to her, black essence pooling at its feet? as it trudges forth.
It extends a hand, a polite gesture so tiny, and yet it felt like a threat.
But there's something in its hand.
A key.
She holds out her hand, fingers twitching in nervousness.
It grins further.
It shoves the key into her chest, the force pushing her to her back as she coughs at the sudden force.
It laughs.
But before she can respond, the ornate doors burst open, and her Father, six wings and all, flies in, putting himself between Charlie and the being.
Horns jut out, serpentine eyes opening on his suit as flames coalesce at his hands.
He talks, Voice full of rage.
"I SWEAR, IF YOU DID ANYTHING TO CHARLIE, ILL FUCKING KILL YOU!"
It does nothing, the grin a constant as it tilts its head, mimicking a gesture of confusion.
But everybody knew it was fake.
So Lucifer turns, putting Charlie in his arms before looking at the being./p>
"YOU BETTER NOT FORGET WHOS THE KING OF HELL, LEVIATHAN!"
It puts its hand up, an obvious attempt at placating her Father, not that it seems genuine.
He sneers, carrying her as he flies upwards into the glass ceiling, crashing into it as he leaves the Mansion.
Charlie looks back, into the dark room.
The Leviathan puts a finger to its mouth, telling her an obvious message.
Don't tell your Father about that Key.
For some reason, she complies.)
But when Adam had found refuge in the Hotel, the Leviathan had demanded that it would granted access to the Pride Ring.
Not that her Dad authorized any of its visits.
Speaking of Adam...
He didn't seem to do that much the following week he had been in the hotel.
He didn't do much aside from playing his guitar and telling stories about how Earth was before he changed it.
The tales of how the air alone would corrode the skin, how the gravity would crush the now weak modern human.
How beasts would prowl, playing with humans before eating them alive.
How everyone in hell should have been honoured to be even near him, because without him-
-there would be no Humanity, and Charlie would be a Princess of some desolate region.
Not that anyone believed him.
Even Charlie just assumed he was lying, trying to get pity points so he could get free lodging.
That's okay though, in due time, he'll get used to the Hotel, and Adam will try the Redemption aspect of the Hotel.
After all, who would prefer Hell over Heaven?
I mean, some would, but considering the First Man spent millennia up there, no surprise he would start trying.
So yeah, He'll come around...eventually.
So Charlie, Princess of Hell, would bide her time.
Or so was the plan till she felt a powerful force in the Lobby.
This energy felt familiar.
She widens her eyes.
Adam?!
Was he just pretending to be weak so he could attack when they were most vulnerable?!
"SHIT! SHIT!"
So she rips her door open, the mahogany wood put aside violently as she runs to the Lobby.
Notes:
Hopefully, yall aint too pissed at me building up the rant.
Don't worry though, I'll be adding it in the next chapter.
:)
Chapter 3: You know what they say, Fuck around,
Summary:
And find out.
Chapter Text
A click. A tap of fingers against his cane.
“My, My, It seems you’re anger has backfired on you, Vaggie.”
Alastor grins, turning to the door leading to the lobby.
Pure power radiates through the building, giving Alastor all the information he needs to.understand the situation.
"Ah, to think He was holding back at the siege...quite the interesting decision, First Man. But perhaps, this "Death" was what you wanted? No matter, I must watch this spectacle."
He turns to his equipment, a faked tone of sympathy forced through his throat.
“Dear Listeners, It seems I must leave this Broadcast early, but fret not, I’ll be early tomorrow, after all…”
He turns off the machine, the familiar whirring slowing down to a complete halt.
“This will be fun~”
He laughs, standing up and walking to the door that separates him from the miasma that seeps through the Hotel.
Not that it would do much if the First Man was angry.
He turns the knob, the red carpet gracing his feet as he slowly walks to the Elevator, a Frantic Charlie greeting his sight.
“Oh’ Charlie, greetings!”
“I don’t have the time to deal with your shit, Alastor-”
He grabs her, stopping her from bursting through the stairwell.
“Did you forget our deal, Charlie? Or must I remind you?”
She grits her teeth, her demonic heritage bared for all to see.
“ADAM IS GOING TO KILL MY GIRLFRIEND, YOU FUCK-”
Alastor puts his finger, silencing the Princess of Hell.
“Hm, fine, I was going to simply suggest we teleported, but clearly, you won’t cooperate, so here goes!”
He laughs, both being shrouded in Shadows before they disappear.
X-x-X
This Bitch, who does she think she is? Does she think she’s some bigshot cuz she fucked the Princess of Hell?
Oh no, that’s not how this works, you piece of shit.
He charges forth, the couch being tossed aside as his frame quickly approaches Vaggie, the latter crawling away as she cradles her burnt hand, black lightning having caused the injury.
The First Man quickly grabs her by the throat, squeezing hard as she coughs, scratching at his arms.
Not that it does much.
A burst of shadows fly out, and Adam pays no mind to the duo as he slams Vaggie onto the Ground.
“VAGGIE!”
Shouts the Princess of Hell, running into the fray-
Only for Wind to stop her, a strong gale preventing her from interrupting the beatdown of her Girlfriend, so she watches the thrashing of the Century.
The Audacity of this fuck.
She was just some Angel, meant to serve one purpose.
To die for Heavens Interests.
And they couldn't even do that.
Garbage. Filth.
She was disposable, like the rest of her sisters.
They were failures.
She should been grateful that He stopped their destruction, his past self still healing from the wounds of losing his children to Sin.
But instead of voicing that, He bares his teeth, and says nothing of his thoughts.
Instead, he answers her question?
"What DID I do for Humanity, Vaggie? How ignorant you fucking are, but fine, I'll answer."
He leans in, his teeth grinding against each other out of sheer rage.
"I split the Earth, fought for my life, defeated beasts of mythological proportions!"
He continues, his demonic visage growing.
"I FOUGHT EVERYTHING IN CREATION JUST FOR HUMANITY TO BE BORN, I MADE IT SO MY CHILDREN WOULD NOT HAVE TO FIGHT JUST TO LIVE ANOTHER DAY, TERRIFIED IF THIS WAS THEIR LAST DAY ALIVE!"
He grits his teeth harder, bone being crushed yet he pays no mind to the blood in his mouth.
"AND WHEN THEY DIED? I FUCKING WEPT FOR WEEKS, KNOWING THEY COULD NEVER REACH HEAVEN PURELY OUT OF THE FACT THEY WERE "CURSED" BY THAT DAMN FUCKING APPLE, I FELT ANGER THAT LUCIFER AND LILITH,"
Black blood drops down from his hands and mouth, the ichor dissolving the ground from the sheer heat they released
"THAT DESPITE CAUSING THIS HELL HOLE TO EXIST, GOT A SLAP ON THE WRIST AND GOT A FUCKING KINGDOM TO RULE, GOT THE CHANCE TO EXPERIENCE WHAT FAMILY REALLY WAS LIKE! WHAT IT FELT TO BE BLESSED WITH A CHILD!"
Charlie widens her eyes, Alastor's smile slightly waning at the sheer intensity of the emotions displayed.
"AND CONTRARY TO YOUR BELIEFS, I NEVER ABANDONED THEM, LIKE HOW YOU ABAnDONED YOUR DUTIES! I FED THEM, I TAUGHT EVERY FUCKING THING I KNEW BEFORE I PASSED AWAY, CONTENT IN THE FACT I DID EVERYTHING I COULD FOR MY CHILDREN!"
He gestures around, a hateful expression on his face.
"YET LOOK AT THOSE FILTHY SINNERS, THEY TOOK THEIR LIFES AND OTHERS FOR GRANTED, NOT APPRECIATING THE BEAUTY OF LIFE! THEY PLUNDERED, RAPED, TORTURED, AND DID EVERY HORRIBLE ACT UNDER THE SUN! FOR WHAT?! PLEASURE!"
He tosses Vaggie into the ground again, golden ichor flowing onto the floor.
The First Man lifts her by the hair, his glare going right through her.
"SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION, I DID EVERYTHING IN MY POWER TO HELP HUMANITY, SO DON'T YOU DARE FUCKING QUESTION MY ACHIEVEMENTS, YOU DEMON FUCKER!"
He drops her, the gales around him weakening as Charlie dives in, holding the unconcious Angel in her hands.
"And Charlie?"
The Princess of Hell looks up, into tired golden eyes.
"Don't disturb me, I need time to relax."
He walks into the elevator, the music fading away as it made its way to the top.
Angel Dust speaks up first.
"Holy Shit, that was quite the rant."
The Radio demon chuckles.
"That it is, Arachnid guest, that it is, that said,"
He looks at the closed elevator doors.
"What now, Charlie?"
She breathes in, full of emotion she can barely control.
"...I don't know."
X-x-X
Adam walks into his room, tired beyond belief as he crashes into the soft bed.
He thinks of his outburst, and sighs, knowing he might have made a mistake.
He looked at his hands, black and gold meshing together.
To think he had harmed someone he had once proudly called his daughter.
"I'm no better than than Lucifer and Lilith...shit."
He puts his head in his head, his repressed emotions rearing their heads.
"Oooh, the Bad Boy is sad."
Niffty says, still grooming his hair.
Wait, she was on me the whole time I was ranting? How did I not notice her?!
She drops down onto his chest, her hands holding his chin.
"Don't be sad, if you're sad, I'll be sad. Maybe this'll cheer you up!"
She hugs his neck, her arms barely lomg enough to twist around his neck.
But.
It was the first hug he had received in Millenia, the warmth overwhelming him yet he does'nt stop her.
So as he holds back his tears, he hugs her back.
He collapses onto the bed, the cyclops getting comfortable as she closes her singular eye.
To think he would stoop this low, sleeping with his murderer yet this warmth...
...was reminiscient of his Wife...of Eve.
So for the first time since his first Death, he closes his eyes.
And dreams.
Chapter 4: Fight,
Summary:
For it is all you could do.
Chapter Text
A ornate hallway greets the First Man, the intricate designs reminding designed in a way that would show the Beauty of Heaven.
Not that he pays any mind to it, his gigantic frame moving swiftly as he races to the Fortress where Camael had lived.
He arrives to the gates that usually brought him joy, but now? It brought him panic.
(Adam was on the Beach, sitting on the sand as he let the waters kiss his feet, the motion calming him as he closes his eyes.
"ADAM!"
only for a voice to interrupt his peace, the Messenger of God flying in as his sudden entrance displaces the sand, Adam covering his eyes.
"What is it, Gab-"
"Camael, she made a new batch of warriors!"
Adam looks on, confused at the news.
"Why is that bad? Doesn't she do this every month?"
"They-", He breathes in, tired, but continues on.
"There was a mistake, and now that they can't serve their purpose, Camael is going to erase them from reality!"
The First Man suddenly stands, his eyes widening as he processes the sudden news.
What? Erase them merely for existing?...like how Heaven did to some of his Children?
That won't do.
He releases his wings, a burst of wind going in every direction as he soars to the skies.)
He charges forth, Angel in armor making way for him as they salute, only for Adam to ignore them.
The guards posted there let him in, used to the First Man appearing there for a usual spar, the Angel of War having pestered him for years until he gave in.
But as he runs into the dimly illuminated Castle, he hears a boisterous voice angrily shouting.
"Useless runts! Can't even do the most basic of drills!"
He hears the Seraphim kicking something hard, and somebody coughing hard.
He pushes the doors open, the training area greeting his eyes, yet he looks onto Camael and her troupe with charged swords.
Yet more importantly, he sees a crowd of angels, one of them on their knees clutching their stomach.
All of them held fearful expressions, scared of what was to come.
He grips his hand tighter.
He would not stand for this, so he speaks.
"CAMAEL!"
"Jeez, i'm right here, Adam, no need to scream."
She lazily states, walking to the front of the First Man, stopping a few meters away.
She grins, a mocking look in her eyes as she speaks.
"You know, as much as I respect your battle prowess, your too soft, Adam, so why don't you just pretend you didn't see see anything?"
"You and I know thats not happening."
"Shame, considering Father stated himself no Angel with no purpose is not permitted to exist, I mean, look at what Lucifer did, I don't blame him for not risking it!"
She laughs, her molars visible.
"And those runts? Too weak to fight cosmic horrors, too stupid to be scholars, too rigid to bring joy, and well, that isn't a good look, Adam, so yeah, either way you put it, they're dead meat."
So she prepares to leave only for A dam to trudge on, a determined look in his eyes as he stares into orange orbs.
"You think I didn't consider that, Camael? How little you think of me."
She stops, intrigued, so she asks.
"...Im listening."
"Remember the Attack on the Heavenly gates, supported by Lucifer and Lilith?"
"Of course I do, i was the one to kill the Army of Sinners...what about it?"
He continues his proposition.
"You and your Army intend to invade Hell, but the Council of Heaven are reluctant to let you have leadership, fearing that Lucifer had placed traps-"
She scoffs, the Troupe behind her laughing.
"Weak traps, they couldnt kill a fly."
"Getting back to my point, they Hold reasonable fear that letting the Army enter hell would result in massive casualties, giving Lucifer a chance to invade and take over Heaven."
She raises her eyebrow, wondering where this was going, but then suddenly realized something.
"You intend to make those runts invade Hell? Don't make me laugh! They couldn't kill a Overlord, let alone a Goetia!"
"Hmph, see, the thing is, Hell is powered by one thing."
She interjects, annoyed.
"Sins, yeah, yeah, I already knew that."
"And where does Sin mostly culminate?"
"Of course its obvious, Sinners!-...hold on, are you really suggesting THAT?"
He looks down, ashamed, but he replies.
"The Plan is that I train them until Adulthood, then I lead them into Hell once a year, lower the population of Sinners before 24 hours pass."
She looks on, her usually fierce visage uncharacteristically soft, a glint of concern in her eyes.
"...You sure put a lot of thought into this...Centurions, leave us be."
Her Troupe complies, leaving through the door as they close the door.
"And you runts, go back to your rooms."
They shuffle quickly, the room empty in seconds.
Camael breathes in, caressing her forehead as she curses.
"...can we just talk, like old times?"
He widens his eyes, surprised at her vulnerable tone, her voice reminsicient of the nightly chats they had before her duties made her far too busy.
Adam hears how she had dropped her Authoritive tone down to a more soft sound, as if...
She was talking to a Friend.
He nods, so she continues.
"Look, Adam, I may enjoy a good fight, but in no way am I cruel.
He gives her a look, making her grumble irritatedly.
"You know what I mean! I don't torture, maim, or leave my enemies to die, I give them a quick and honorable death, and most importantly, I give them a choice, die for your beliefs, or run away to live another day."
"What does this have to with our deal?"
"What I'm saying is that you shouldn't be spending the rest of your afterlife killing your children, rotten as they may be."
She grimaces at the reminder of the cesspool of sins that Humanity had made.
"They deserve to die, sure, but YOU don't have to be the one to cut their throats, to be the one to see their lives slowly fade away as their eyes dim."
She speaks more.
"I never had children, but to subject you to that? Its is the epitome of cruelty, Adam, and I don't want to subject you to that. I WANT you to know you have a Choice, to be selfless or to be selfish, and right now?"
She walks forward, grabbing his hands as she holds them to her chest.
"I want you to be selfish for once in your goddamn life...please."
"...I made my choice already, Camael."
She lets go, her lips pursed.
"..is that so? Fine, I'll get you a meeting with the Council next week."
He nods, thankful for her help as he approaches the door that the newly formed angels went through.
"Adam?"
The Angel of War calls out, the First Man stopping to turn to her.
"Those runts don't got names, so you get to name em."
"...is that so?"
"Yep, and by the way? Good Luck."
"Thank you."
He leaves the room, a silent seraphim standing in silence.
"...you moron, why do you keep choosing others over yourself?"
He walks into the room, a group of newly born angels watching him enter.
So he coughs out his doubts, and speaks.
X-x-X
The First Man opens his eyes, and sits up, a comfy Niffty pushed off with ease.
He grimaces at his breath, and leaves for the bathroom.
After he takes a Bath, he wipes away at his wet body, the new sets of clothing fitting him snugly.
A set of knocks ring out through the door, the First grimacing as he was reminded of his tantrum yesterday.
Adam approaches his door, opening his door reluctantly, thinking Charlie had called her Dad back to deal with him.
To end him.
However, what greets him is far worse.
"Hey, long no time no see, First Man~"
The Primordial Evil laughs, its many mouths opening in unison.
"I think we need a looooong talk due a few thousand years too late, pal~"
Chapter Text
"..."
They both stare at each other, waiting for the other to make the first move.
"...hm."
Adam holds his chin, brushing his beard as he appraises the Primordial Evil, seeming to evaluate it.
"...Eh.'
The First Man nods, then closes the door, walking back in as he enters the toilet, washing his face.
30 minutes later, he opens the door, only for the Leviathan to still be there.
He closes it again.
After a few seconds, he opens it again, only for it to be still there.
He closes it again, only for the Leviathan to shout through the door, its usually light voice muffled.
"Oh, come on, Adam, I could just teleport in there ya know, I'm just being polite, waiting for you to let me in~."
Adam opens the door again.
"Oh? Is that a yes?"
A middle finger is the First Man's response before closing the door.
Gently, mind you.
And for whatever reason, that set its (non-existent) patience on flames.
So it teleports into the room, sitting on the plushy bed as it bounces off, the already meticulous arrangement of the bed disturbed.
Along with another...
"Hey! I just arranged that!"
Niffty walks forward, staring the Primordial right in the eyes with her cyclopean features.
Most would find the Maid's stare a disturbing thing, but the Leviathan?
It found her amusing, so It laughed loudly.
"Amusing little bug, but alas, this conversation is between me and a friend from way back, so bye-bye ~."
It snaps its fingers and teleports Niffty out of the room.
The Leviathan looks at him, patting the bed as an invite to sit as if it owned the room.
Adam narrowed his eyes at the audacity, so in response, he grins.
"Hey, I don't swing that way, but if you want me so badly, here I go~."
A lamp is tossed, the First Man dodging easily.
"Shutthefuckup!"
It shouts, embarrassed beyond belief as its sight across all universes gives it an unwanted image.
How did a Union between us even fucking happen?!
"Oh, c'mon, you haven't tried the Dickmasters..."
Adam thinks deeply, then shrugs.
"...Dick."
"No thanks...Ahem, moving on,"
It grins, malicious intent visible in its eyes.
"Trying to avoid a conversation with me using crude humour? Ah, the First Man is scared of a little shadow, boohoo~."
The First Man becomes serious, realizing that this is not just a part of the Primordial Evil...
It was the Primordial Evil in the flesh.
"...Knowing you, Leviathan, you came here to fuck with me Again."
"Yet you don't throw your fist at me, an interesting choice."
"Oh please, I'm not stupid, I know that if you had power, you would have tortured me the moment I opened that door, so really, that means one thing,"
He leans in, Golden against red eyes.
"You are HERE to talk, so talk, you disgusting pile of shit."
"As much as I love to rip your little mouth off for the amount of disrespect you've shown me, your little cheating wife is protecting your twinky little ass from my wrath, so count your blessings."
"Oh? You, in that state, rip my mouth off?"
Adam laughs with no joy, his hand on his side before backhanding the Leviathan off his bed.
"You couldn't kill an Imp now if your life depended on it, you fucking piece of shit!"
The Leviathan grins, standing off the floor as it regenerates its jaw.
"Why so mad, huh? Jealous that everything I do, every action I perform, every word I speak, no matter how minuscule, affects you in every way possible, First Man? While you on the other hand,"
It approaches, a manic gleam in its eyes.
"Can't do anything to me, even in my weakest state? Do you realize how pathetic you are, do you realize how stupid you are, that the only purpose you will ever serve is just to be a puppet for the Heavens to toy with, hm?"
"Shut it, you fucking bitch!"
Adam grabs it by the throat, squeezing so tight that black fluids burst out of it's neck, yet the Leviathan continues its mocking.
"Do you find the Truth that painful? How deluded you must be, to think anybody would care for you?! Eveeeerybooody loves the First Man, but nobody gives a flying shit about Adam!"
The First Man crashes its head onto the wall, over and over again.
Slam.
Slam.
Slam.
Black Blood covers the room, every corner dripping in the black ether as Adam drops the Leviathan's limp body from his slack hands.
He looks at his hands and falls to his knees, his body tired from all the exertion.
Yet It speaks.
"I'll always be there, you know."
Adam looks at its destroyed face, a malicious grin all too obvious.
"I'll always be in that mind of yours, always nagging at you, telling you don't deserve anything At all. I will always torment you, and you know what? That's all the motivation I need to go through all this suffering, cuz in the end, I get to see you contort your face in pain."
Adam looks down, tired, but he still asks one question.
"...Why? Why do you do all this?"
"...seriously? Didn't I already answer this when we first met?"
It gathers its essence, the room becoming clean as its fluids enter its body again.
"I hate you. Simple as that."
The Leviathan laughs maniacally, disappearing from the room as its departure shakes the Hotel.
...Minutes pass, and Adam holds his head to his knees.
And weeps for what could have been.
Notes:
I feel like the Leviathan needed more characterization, so here we are.
Had a pretty fun time writing the bastard, so do hope you enjoy the chapter.
As always, leave a comment and have a good day.

Chapter Text
2 hours after the Leviathan left.
...
Adam breathes in, tired.
Tired of crying, tired of being angry, tired of being sad, tired of his responsibilities, tired of hoping but most of all...
He was tired of being the First Man, the once glorious boon now a curse that followed him throughout his 1st, 2nd and now 3rd life.
It was tiring...very tiring.
He held out his hand, a broken piece of Angelic Steel that had come from Vaggie's spear, the one piece that was embedded into his skin.
This would not kill him, even as a sinner. But.
That implied he would resist the effects, the holy light burning away his sinful soul.
Oh, how tempting, to die a 3rd time.
However, what would it feel like to die for the 3rd time? He would find out, soon enough.
He raises the blade to his throat, eyes closed.
He proceeds to stab himself-
Only for a knock to interrupt him, the blade stopping a mere inch away from his carotid artery.
"The hell?"
Adam grimaces, hiding away the blade, he stands from his messy bed and walks to the door.
He opens it.
Oh, how nerve-wracking this was.
Charlie walks to each end of the hallway, antsy as she weighs her options.
She held a box full of ribs, her family on Earth having bought her the best in the whole wide world...up on Earth at least.
"I hope Adam likes Texan Ribs!"
Charlie sweats, her shadow falling onto the 7th door on the right wing of the 2nd floor...which was Adam's room...which usually had guitar solos going on behind it at night.
Why does she know? She just does, don't ask.
She breathes in, and quickly knocks on the door.
Pleaseopen,pleaseopen, please open!
The Mahogany Door opens, revealing the First Man in all his glory-
Wait, why are there tear marks on his face-
"What the fuck do you want, Princess? Or are you just here to stare? Don't blame me, I'm fucking hot!"
The First Man grins, leaning onto the doorframe as he gazes at her face.
Charlie laughs nervously, a hint of red on her ears.
"No, no! I'm just here to, y'know, talk! Yeah, talk!"
"Suuuuure, Hellflake, suuuuure."
Hellflake? What's new...where did he get that-
No, no, stop getting sidetracked, Charlie! Get to the point.
She shakes her head, and smiles crookedly, a nervous tick.
"No, seriously, I think we need to talk...about yesterday."
The First Man's grin immediately slides off his face, a disgruntled look appearing in its stead.
"Oh...that, what about it? Here to scold me about it, gonna take away some of my privileges, Princess?"
Charlie looks into his golden eyes, a hint of resignation in them.
"No, no! Not that...I'm here to apologize for Vaggie's attitude."
"...what?"
His confused face gives her some initiative, some confidence pooling in her gut.
"I think we should have this talk in your room, Adam."
The First Man, baffled at her response, stands there for a while.
Her recently found confidence slowly crumbles by the minute, the First Man still frame making her nervous.
Whyaren'tyoumoving, pleaserespond-
The First Man pushes himself off the door, an expression of finality on his demonic visage.
He shrugs, walking into his messy room.
"Alright, Hellflake, I guess we can talk."
Charlie has a stoic face, but on the inside, she was downright ecstatic, not that He would find out.
She hopes.
Charlie walks into the slightly warm room, a mess of sheets and a guitar carelessly put away on the couch.
She hears the unmistakable sound of him sitting on the bed and turns to him.
The First Man smirks, and gestures to the box in her hand.
"Who" 's that for, Princess?"
"O-oh, it's yours! Yeah..."
She quickly hands it over, her nerves killing her as she turns, walking hurriedly, she sits on the lone chair with nothing on top.
The First Man watches her, then turns his gaze onto the box.
"Hm..."
He opens it, the box revealing freshly grilled ribs, the First Man widens his eyes in surprise.
"This...this is for me?"
"Yeah, it is!"
"This clearly ain't from Hell, Hellflake. You get it from some unexpecting descendant of mine?"
Charlie chuckles, a cover-up for her nervous tics.
"No, no! I just asked some of my Familiars on Earth to get me some ribs."
The First Man raises his brow, questions forming in the recesses of his head.
"Sometimes, I forget you're a princess, Hellflake. But whatever, I'm hungry!"
He digs in, eating most of the ribs in minutes, leaving the flabbergasted Princess quiet.
He sure is fast...
The First Man burps, content with his meal.
"Alrighty, now that's out of the way, what the fuck did you mean by you're not angry for beating up your chick?"
Oh, yeah, that.
Charlie breathes in a heavy breath.
"Well, for one...Vaggie said some words I do not agree with, so really, both sides are in the wrong. It wouldn't be fair to you if I focused on your wrongdoing. But."
Charlie looks up into his golden eyes hesitantly.
"That's not the only reason I'm here. As the Princess of Hell...I'm sorry, so sorry."
Adam looks at her, confused yet again.
"For what? Killing me? I've moved on from that shit already-"
"No, not that."
Charlie looks up at him, a glint of fear and anxiety in those orbs, yet they have another emotion in them.
Determination.
"When I accepted you as a resident, I didn't intend to redeem you because you wanted redemption. I wanted to redeem you so I could prove to everybody that If the First Man could reenter Heaven, anybody could do it, assuming they truly wanted it."
She heaves another breath, her guilt flooding her body.
"I only took you in to redeem the First Man, not Adam."
He creases his brow, her point not hitting the mark.
"Slow down, Hellflake. What do you mean by that?"
Charlie clasps her hands tighter around each other, nervous. She gathers her courage.
Here goes.
"I only look at your title, your Achievements, I only ever assumed what you were like from the tales of my Mother and Father."
She swallows her saliva, her brain refusing to stop releasing her thoughts as she looks down
"I only ever saw you as a goal to surpass, not as a person. I only wanted to use you to prove a point, and not to help you achieve your desire to be better. I only saw you as a trophy to hold over my head, and not as a Human being with feelings and emotions. And for that,"
She looks up again, staring into his eyes, with no hint of deceit in her gaze.
"I'm sorry."
...silence follows her apology, the First Man blinking rapidly as he tries to digest her words.
Charlie takes the initiative.
"But. Today, or tomorrow, or even next month, that can change! I can get to know you, not as the First Man, but as...Adam."
...
...
...
Charlie sighs, embarrassed.
"Adam, look, I'm not forcing you into anything, alright? I just...I just wanna right a wrong, I want to know you beyond your titles and achievements...I want to know you as a person."
She stands, walking over to the exit.
"If you're interested...you can walk into my office, and well...we can chat, yeah!"
She chuckles nervously, turning over the handle as she opens the door, the red carpet greeting her downtrodden sight.
"Just think about it, alright?"
She walks out, and closes the door, leaving Adam to his thoughts.
Notes:
Been months since I updated this, aha!
And yeah, tried to write Charlie, well, *tried*.
Hope you enjoyed this!
Chapter 7: A hope resurfaces
Summary:
And yet the fire dims ever so slightly.
Chapter Text
"Do I do it? Do I...entertain the Hellflakes idea?"
An apple is grasped, then bitten into, a curtain First Man devouring it in one fell swoop.
He thinks, then he laughs rambunctiously.
"Been a whole fucking week, no way she's still on it, like all the others,"
He aims, calculating the angle and force needed to shoot the apple core into the trashcan halfway across the room.
Then he throws, and with centuries upon centuries of perfecting throwing objects of any kind, sees the apple go in.
"She'll get tired of the real me, and just throw me away-"
He glances at his window, a red hue illuminating the outside view, but if one were to look outside and look up...
"As usual."
One would see the Pearly Gates of Heavens, a Golden hue visible for all who reside in the Pride ring to see.
Adam thinks if he wants to see it, the place he once called home.
He sighs, and shakes his head, deciding the memories that he had shoved into the recesses of his mind, a complicated mess that most could never hope to see, let alone comprehend.
Not that it stopped those three from trying...
The First Man smiles a little before forcing his mouth back into a thin line, reminding himself that it had been several millennia since he had last seen them.
It would certainly be foolish to hope, like so many times before.
"But I'd like to think...they'd still be waiting."
Silence, then Adam chuckles, a sound without joy in it.
"Maybe It's better that they forget me...better they choose to move on, unlike me who is so entrenched in what could've been. But who am I kidding?"
He stands up from his bed, walking over to his closet, he grabs each end of the closet.
Sliding it open, he sees a collection of clothing, books, and miscellaneous materials in it, aimed specifically to target his hobbies.
Or what Charlie thinks are my hobbies...well, she got pretty damn close to a perfect closet.
An entire closet, made to entertain him.
Fucking weird, gotta say.
But today, Adam was not here to read, write, or whatever was available to do in this damn closet.
Nope, not in the mood for pansy shit, he thinks, oh no no, he was here for one thing, and one thing only.
He turns his gaze to the bottom of the closet, a guitar lying in a box, surrounded by soft cloth.
"Hm...honestly, that beauty fits my fucking vibe. But...I don't know, what if there's a curse on that thing that activates when I play on it?"
He thinks, golden orbs stagnant as he inspects the practically perfect guitar, just begging the First Man to play it.
"Gotta wonder how Hellflake knew what I fucking liked in a guitar...oh well, FUCK IT!"
Adam leans down, grasping the intricately designed guitar and lifting it with ease.
He inspects it, whistling at the carvings and overall designs put on the guitar.
"Welp, fuck it, WE BALL!"
Adam grabs the closet door, and shuts it close, leaving but the dark.
-
...darkness, then shuffling, then light.
Charlie Morningstar opens the closet door in her room, looking for ointments and gauze to use in renewing her girlfriend's casts.
Speaking of Vaggie.
She glances at her bed. A figure covered in heavy-duty medical bandages lay in it, so still, one would think they were dead if not for the slow but rhythmic breathing present.
Charlie watches her beloved lay in their shared bed, a hint of remorse in her gaze.
If I had treated Adam with as much respect as I treated the others when they came in...maybe this wouldn't have happened...
She slaps herself before she can get any deeper into the rabbit hole that was her mind, or rather her thought process, which she knew to be deeply flawed.
If the accident with Adam wasn't evidence enough.
Still...
"I let this happen. But no more, everybody that goes in the Hazbin Hotel to redeem themselves, regardless of their backgrounds or what my relationship with them is."
She walks over to the side of her bed, standing over her Girlfriend as she pats her head affectionately.
"No matter how abysmal they are, as long as they want it, want to be better, I'll give them a chance. And I'll treat them with respect. And Compassion."
She smiles sadly as she leans over to sneak a kiss on Vaggie's head, closing her eyes as she stays like that for a while, savouring the moment.
"But first thing first! Let's replace your casts."
She grabs a pair of scissors and begins cutting into the hard material, removing chunks of it at a time.
After she's done, Charlie looks upon her Girlfriends's skin and cringes, the violet hue prominent on her grey skin causing her discomfort to the highest level.
And to think, a week prior, she had to reset some bones that were outside of Vaggies body with professionals, sure, but it was the most nervous she had ever been.
Breath, Charlie, breath.
She inspects the wounds with much attention, noting the prescription and instructions of the doctors she had called.
She grabs the ointment on the table beside her, twisting the cap open, she grabs gauze and pours a decent amount of the ointment.
Breathing in again, she starts wiping the wounds with disinfectant whilst holding back her nerves.
After a few minutes, Charlie has fully cleaned out the wounds still present, then she begins applying the casts onto Vaggies still body, the Princess apologizing as she twitches from the pain.
"I'm sorry, but this is for your good!"
She tightly wraps the tape on, securing the cast as Charlie breathes in relief.
"Now that done, I'll cook some soup for you to eat; just wait here."
The Princess of Hell stands, in her hands, a cloth she uses to wipe her hands clean lest she contaminate the food she is going to prepare.
Walking over, She opens the door and closes the lights, leaving the room without much light.
Charlie looks back with a sad face at her still girlfriend, hoping the best for her, and with that-
She closes the door with a click, leaving nothing but the dark.
