Chapter Text

Freezy tapped a pencil to his lips as he studied the board in front of him. Multiple papers lined it, along with drawings of Ice and himself. Charts, writings, and formulas lined it as well. There was also a sticky note that read “GO TO MOM’S HOUSE.”

He sighed, it was going to take a moment to figure out how exactly to set this plan in motion. If he made a formula to create Ice, he was going to have to make one to suppress him. The only problem was, the original formula he wrote back in college was in his old home.

If he could just separate the DNA that was created when Ice formed, he could be rid of him forever.

He chuckled to himself for a moment. Maybe I can put him in a jar. Then place him in the freezer. He thought, then snickered. Let’s see how he likes it

Revenge would be sweet, but he shook his head. That wasn’t his goal. His goal was to fix everything.

He turned his head, looking at a photo sitting next to the sticky note. There he stood, happily in his red robe and cap. He held his high school diploma close to his chest, his gapped teeth smiling enthusiastically and his eyes wide and bright with pride.

His mother stood beside him, beaming with pride as well. Her slender arm wrapped around her son, holding him close.

That closeness seemed to disappear after high school graduation. It disappeared even more after he dropped out of college.  The tiniest bit of Freezy felt like she wasn’t proud of him anymore. The thought stung in his chest a bit.

He sighed. After Ice Cold Killer was gone, he would fix everything. He would restore that closeness.

His thoughts were interrupted by a slight “BZZT!” sound coming from his phone, making him jump a bit in surprise and he turned to pick it up.

Jim had texted him, as obvious by the silly nickname that Freezy had given him and his contact photo of him lovingly sitting besides Spuds, both wearing matching Christmas sweaters and shades.

Freezy immediately pressed the notification and read the message.

Titanic forgot his wallet back at the gym last night. It’s a bit late, but me n him are gonna go see if Lost and Found has it. Would you like to come with us?

Freezy thought for a moment. He had been sitting in the house all day trying to come up with a game plan for everything with Ice Cold Killer, and slightly neglecting his other responsibilities and needs.

I owe it to Titanic to help him find it. It’s probably my fault he lost it in the first place. He thought, walking out of the room and beginning to get dressed. He quickly typed together a message.

Of course. I’d like to help you guys find it, hopefully it isn’t too far or Lost and Found has it.

As Freezy threw on a hoodie, Jim gave a quick reply.

Tubular! I’ll be over in 5 to pick you up. See you there 💪

Freezy smiled a bit, before getting back to getting his things together to get out of the house.

All three men walked into the gym with a slight feeling of unease. Something was a bit…off. The lights had been dimmed, and the general atmosphere felt desolate.

It only made sense since it was nearing the end of the day, but they couldn’t shake the feeling.

The three made their way through the first hallway, searching for the office and the desk in front of it. Along the way, they spotted a familiar face.

The guy with blonde spiked hair, half-lidded eyes, a jacket detailed with flames along with a black tank top and overall smug demeanor pretty much made Freezy want to audibly groan. It was Super Roger, standing against the wall with his arms crossed.

He slightly cringed when Roger noticed them and exclaimed “Hey dudes!” excitedly.

Titanic and Jim gave each other a look, before Jim greeted “Hey Roger!”

“Hey Roger.” Freezy greeted, with less enthusiasm.

“What are you guys up to?” He asked, still standing with his arms crossed.

“I forgot my wallet here yesterday. Have you seen it?” Titanic asked, looking around the dim hallways.

“No sir.” Roger answered nonchalantly. “The only wallet I’ve seen around here belongs to that little cutesy girl. I think her parents gave it to her or something.”

Titanic, Jim, and Freezy gave each other a confused look before looking at Roger once again.

“Why would her parents give her a wallet? I don’t even think she’s old enough to make her own lunch.” Freezy asked.

“I don’t know. I always guessed that her family’s got a bunch of money, so why not, y'know?" Roger answered.

Titanic gave a short sigh, before looking at him and asking: “Roger, what did the wallet look like?”

“It had that one Japanese wave painting on it, which makes me think that her parents are total nerds.” Roger answered, giving a small snort as he chuckled at his joke.

“That’s my wallet, Roger. She must have found it and held onto it.” Titanic answered, his voice a bit deadpan.

Roger froze for a second, before squinting his eyes and thinking. After a moment, his eyes shot back open before saying “Ohhhh, yeah. That makes sense.”

Both Titanic and Freezy sighed as they began to walk towards the equipment section, as Jim nervously smiled at Roger and said “Thanks man.” as he passed with them. Roger stood back against the wall and smugly smiled as if nothing happened.

Entering the room, Freezy and Titanic scanned the room for the tiny pink nightmare known as Trigger Happy.

Jim noticed a faint green light coming from a room on the side, turning to get a better look. He spotted a huge machine, composed of a mishmash of gym equipment and bright green lights.

He managed to get a faint look that it was plugged into the wall socket to the right of the room. His eyes squinted confusedly before he heard Freezy say a hushed “There she is!”

Trigger Happy sat on a bench, swinging her feet back and forth, absentmindedly looking around. In her right hand was Titanic’s wallet.

All three men approached nervously, with slight smiles on their faces. Upon seeing them, Trigger Happy gained a wide devilish smile. The three looked at each other nervously, before Titanic turned his head forward and blurted: “Hey, you found my wallet!”

“Oh, is this your wallet, sir?” The little girl asked in a sickly sweet voice, turning her head to look at the three men in a mocking manner. “Yes, that’s mine!” Titanic answered, trying his best to not seem terrified. “Where did you find it?”

“It was sitting in the medical area, do you want it back?” She asked, holding the wallet out with a big, kind smile.

Titanic’s face softened, looking surprised at how suddenly kind Happy seemed to turn. His voice softened as he reached out his hand:

“That’s very nice of you. Thank you-”

As Titanic reached for it, Trigger Happy yanked her hand back in a cruel manner. Her face twisted, making her look more like a devil than a little girl.

“Nuh uh!” She teased, stuffing the wallet behind her back and looking at the three men. “Did you three really think you’d get it back that easily?!”

The three groaned, looking at each other in embarrassment as she cackled.

Trigger Happy returned her focus back to the three as she finished laughing, keeping a smug smile on her face.

“I’ll tell you what, my mommy and daddy will be here in 5 minutes to pick me up, so even though I shouldn’t… I’ll go easy on you guys. This time.” She said, her face softening back into her cute demeanor.

She looked at each of the group and put her hand to her mouth as she audibly thought with an “hmmmmm….”

In a swift moment, she pointed at Titanic.

You’re going to get me a soda from the vending machine!” She exclaimed.

In another swift motion, she swung her finger over to Jim.

You’re going to give me a free training session to help improve my punches!”

As she swung her finger over to Freezy, she paused, thinking.

The sheer fear in Freezy’s nervously smiling face made her smile devilishly.

“I already thrashed you last time.” Happy sneered, “so I’ll spare you from a hospital visit.”

Freezy sighed in relief, closing his eyes for a moment.

Trigger Happy giggled as she pointed to the left, directing Freezy’s gaze over. He saw a giant black weight sitting in the corner.

“See that weight over there? I want you to drop it on your foot, smile and tell me that you’re a little girl.”

Freezy froze, his blood running cold and his face almost turning white.

Jim and Titanic froze as well, looking at Freezy with fear.

Trigger Happy sat, an evil smile on her face as she pulled the wallet from behind her back and waved it back and forth teasingly.

Freezy turned and began to walk towards the weight, his brain currently buzzing with focusing on his tanking the pain. Jim and Titanic immediately began to run over. As he lifted it, both men surrounded him with heavily concerned faces.

“Dude, don’t do this.” Titanic pleaded. “I’ll get a new wallet, credit card, everything.”

“You’re seriously going to hurt yourself if you do that man, don’t do it.” Jim pleaded as well, nervously holding his hands up as Freezy lifted the weight and turned to face Trigger Happy.

“Reg, it’ll take weeks for you to get a new license and ID, not to mention credit cards. I’ve hurt my foot before and I can do it again.” Freezy stated calmly, focusing on holding the weight over his foot. “I’m the one who made you lose your wallet in the first place, let me do this.”

Freezy took a deep breath, closing his eyes as he lifted his head and tightened his grip on the weight.

Jim and Titanic gave each other panicked looks before running over and trying to grab it before it dropped.

Freezy dropped the weight in a swift motion, taking in a deep breath as everything seemed to slow down.

A flash of bright light flashed through Freezy’s eyes as the weight hit his foot, a sharp pain ringing throughout his nervous system. His foot practically screamed in pain, a slight crunching noise that made Jim and Titanic cringe. His eyes shot open, his pupils almost pinpoint as they began to well up with tears from the sheer amount of pain.

Despite all this, Trigger Happy gave an expectant smile, turning her head to look at him.

“I’m a little girl.” Freezy choked out, his voice soft and breathing strained.

Jim and Titanic simply stood, both frozen as they just looked at it all.

“What was that?” Happy mocked, cupping a hand to her ear and smiling innocently.

I’m a little girl.” Freezy choked out once more, keeping his smile as tears of pain streamed down his cheeks, his balled fists shaking. He had never felt more embarrassed in his entire life than he did in that moment.

After that, the next few minutes were a blur as he stood, frozen as tears fell from his face.

He saw Trigger Happy happily exchange the wallet back to Titanic, him and Jim trying to speak to him before Roger came in. He couldn’t hear any of the words, just saw everyone’s mouths move. Time was in slow motion, and his blood ran cold. But his body was ablaze with white hot anger.

He stood, eyes wide as the lights began to flicker. He could begin his body shaking vigorously, his breathing getting harsher and harsher.

Everyone turned their gaze back to Freezy, a mixture of confusion and concern flashing across their faces as the lights continued to flicker before finally being snuffed out.

It was too late.
