Chapter 1: Deep Regrets
Chapter Text
“Your girlfriend is a liar. She hid the fact that she’s an angel. Even worse, an exorcist angel that killed your own people. Do what you want with that information, blondie,” Adam remarked with a huge smirk shown on his mask.
Shining behind him along with his second commander, Lute, was a hologram of Vaggie as an exorcist wearing clothing that can easily be identified as an exterminator. Eyes grew wide in disbelief as Charlie listened to Adam’s words while viewing the hologram sight of her girlfriend who used to be an exorcist.
Her eyes couldn’t bother to look away as she fell down to her knees, frozen in place. Vaggie kneeled beside her partner and tried to comfort her as best as she could. However, nothing was helping to soothe the Princess of Hell. One bomb was dropped on the couple and another was heading in their direction.
”The court has ruled there is not a single evidence to prove sinners can be redeemed. Therefore, this case is dismissed,” Sera announced to the audience in the courtroom.
Hearing the sentences from the seraphim caused Vaggie to grit her teeth in anger. Charlie, on the other hand, felt numb and disappointed. All of her happiness and confidence was now washed away. This wasn’t the results the owners of Hazbin Hotel were expecting before coming to Heaven. They wished a better outcome had occurred.
Murmurs were heard throughout the room as most of the visitors began leaving. Approaching Charlie and Vaggie was Adam and Lute with a victorious look. The ex-exorcist glared heavily at the duo, ready to tear them apart. Nothing would have prepared the distraught pair when a third bomb exploded on them.
”You and your stupid sinner friends better be ready to fight when we spawn near the hotel in two days. We’re going to fucking kill every sinner until there’s none left. Right, Lute?” Adam gazed at his friend for an answer.
”Of course, sir. They won’t know what’s coming to bite their sorry asses,” Lute evilly grinned at the thought of extermination.
”I’ll be sure to get rid of you both, pinche cabrones,” Vaggie stated venomously with hatred in her one eye.
“Can’t wait to see you try. See you bitches soon,” Adam and Lute turned away from them.
The couple suddenly felt themselves get sucked into a portal that brought them to Heaven. Looking around the courtroom one last time, they were removed from Heaven and were brought back to Hell. Vaggie and Charlie winced slightly as they landed on the floor next to each other. Lifting their heads, they noticed they teleported back to the hotel.
The entire crew entered the hotel at the same time after spending some hours at the club. Husk and Angel chatted away about Cherri Bomb getting wild. Sir Pentious had a disappointed expression with shoulders slumped. Niffty darted inside the building to observe if there was any debris in the hotel to clean. Alastor suddenly appeared from above the steps of the staircase, returning from his errands.
What everyone was doing came to a halt when they heard a portal open inside the hotel, dropping off the angel and demon. They watched the lovers get off the ground and dust themselves off. A few of them were ready to ask questions but something felt off between the two. Vaggie stood in front of Charlie, ready to apologize and explain.
“Charlie, I-“
”Don’t. Please… just don’t,” Charlie interrupted as she began hugging herself, tears spilling from her eyes.
Vaggie’s heart broke into two at the sight of her girlfriend. What once was a joyous and hopeful demon princess, has now become broken. The small angel wanted to hug Charlie, apologize, do whatever she could to see the beautiful smile back on her face. But deep inside, she knows she is the last person the Morningstar wants to be held by. Guilt started to consume her rapidly.
”This isn’t how I planned for you to know,” Vaggie felt a lump form in her throat as her eye began to fill with tears.
“Y-You lied to me, Vaggie. For three years of being together, you lied about who you are. That’s what’s hurting me! Not because you’re an exorcist, but because you lied,” Charlie unleashed her feelings before doing her best to wipe the tears away.
”I’m sorry I-“ Vaggie’s hand tried reaching out to her, though Charlie took a step back from the angel.
”I need some time alone. T-To process everything and think to myself. Extermination is in two days. I need to draw a plan to protect everyone here and the hotel. Adam and his army will attack us right away when they arrive. I’ll gather everybody for a meeting once I have a finalized plan,” Charlie’s voice wavered as she headed upstairs to her bedroom immediately without looking back.
Everybody stared at the princess while understanding the situation that unfolded in front of them. Once the blonde demon had disappeared from plain sight, the group then turned to Vaggie who seemed devastated and destroyed.
”It appears the cat is out of the bag,” Alastor had a sly smile after speaking first.
”Why the fuck didn’t ya tell us you were an exorcist!?” Angel exclaimed angrily at the fallen angel.
Slightly flinching at furious words, Vaggie simply replied, “I was afraid.”
”Afraid?! Tch! We should be the ones afraid of you. For all we know, ya coulda killed us in our sleep or somethin’ like that,” Angel Dust had a hint of fear shown through his eyes.
“I’m… I’m not like them a-anymore. I swear,” Vaggie clenched her hands into fists with her body moderately shaking.
She did her best to hold her tears back. Vaggie believed it shouldn’t be her crying. She didn’t deserve to cry after lying to Charlie for years nor did she deserve Charlie’s love and support. Those thoughts were slowly getting into her head, making her sensitive at the moment. While Husk tried calming Angel down, Pentious thought of a question that brought everyone’s attention.
”If you’re an angel, doessss that mean you’ve hidden your wingsssss and halo from us?” He genuinely asked.
The one-eyed angel shuddered at the question. It brought back memories of the day she lost both of them, including her eye. Vaggie wasn’t ready for that conversation, but there’s no point in hiding the truth anymore. It seemed that everybody lost their trust and respect in the ex-exorcist. Which means, she has to regain it. To do so, is by beginning to tell them her side of the story. Even if it made her uncomfortable.
”No. I never hid any of them. They were torn and ripped away from me after failing to fulfill my duty,” Vaggie couldn’t bear to look at her friends as she responded to the snake’s question.
”What do you mean by ‘failing to fulfill my duty?’” Husk was next to interrogate the fallen angel.
She explained thoroughly, “I spared someone during the extermination years ago. Not just anyone, a child who is a cannibal. I cornered him in an alleyway just to find out he’s a kid. I couldn’t bring myself to kill him, so I told him to run away. He did, but Adam’s lieutenant, Lute, witnessed everything. I didn’t know she was there when all of a sudden, her spear stabbed through my eye.”
Vaggie paused as her hand was placed over the X eye patch, feeling a twinge of pain on the empty eye socket. She needed a quick moment before moving on with the story as the crew paid attention to every detail being revealed.
“She kicked me down to the ground with her foot on the center of my back. I wasn’t able to register what was happening until her hands grabbed both of my wings and tore them clean. Lute threw them aside as Adam swooped down beside me, understanding the circumstance before snatching my halo away. They left me to die as they flew towards the portal to Heaven. I then threw away my uniform before anyone finds out what I am and sat against dumpsters, waiting for death to take me,” Vaggie ended her story.
It was silent for a moment as everyone soaked up the information that had been displayed. Angel, Husk, and Sir Pentious cringed at the horror Vaggie went through. Neither of them were anticipating a backstory filled with trauma and anguish. They didn’t think an exorcist like Vaggie would ever go through such anguish and torture.
Alastor added onto the story by saying, “That is where Charlie discovered and nursed you to full health, didn’t she?”
”She did,” Vaggie held a small smile, thinking about the day she first met her girlfriend.
“Shit, kid. It’s obvious exorcists are ruthless, but I wouldn’t have predicted them to hurt one of their own. I know damn well it was a terrifying experience for you,” Husk had sympathy for the shorter woman.
“Yeah… it was.”
“Well, ya have lots to make up for, toots. Yeah, it sucked what happened to ya. Then again, ya killed sinners. The thing is, did ya enjoy hurting ‘em?” Angel inquired with a serious face.
Vaggie lifted her head quickly to gaze at the pornstar and answered, ”No! Of course not. Killing sinners as a job was sickening to me. I never wanted to be an exorcist, but I didn’t have a choice. Until that day I allowed a cannibal escape, I was punished for my crime. Yet, I was freed from Adam and Lute’s grasp. That is why I’m thankful to be where I’m at. Even though I fucked things up between all of you and I, I still want to help Charlie’s dream come true and redeem you guys.”
”W-Wow, Vagatha. You truly are no longer viciousss in my book,” Sir Pentious wiped a single tear away from her eyes.
”Not my name, but thanks. I understand there’s so much to make up to you guys, and I’m willing to make an effort in patching things up. Especially to Charlie,” Vaggie glanced in the direction where the demon princess went.
”Charlie will be difficult to make amends for considering what you’ve done. You’ll need to do more than enough for her to forgive you,” Alastor advised the former exorcist.
“I’ll do whatever it takes to help her with the extermination. Even if she doesn’t trust or forgive me yet, I will continue protecting everyone in the hotel and her dreams,” Vaggie stared at the palm of her hand before making it into a fist.
”I suggest getting to it now. Extermination is in two days, and we are fucked if we have no clue as to how to fight off the angels,” Husk recommended.
“I believe there is someone who is willing to aid us,” the deer overlord pointed out.
”Who would that be?” Vaggie eyed the radio demon curiously.
”Carmilla Carmine. After the previous meeting with the overlords, I overheard she killed an exorcist,” Alastor brought up.
The fallen angel widened her eye at the name as she said, “Carmine!? The weapon dealer?”
”Why, yes, my dear angel.”
”That’s quite funny because you’re sending Vagina here to her doom,” the spider demon informed Alastor.
Ignoring the name, Vaggie vocalized, ”That doesn’t matter. Carmilla has the answers on how to defeat the angels. Getting the information out of her will be hard to do. However, I think it’s worth trying to get her to help us.”
“Good luck, kid. Carmine is headstrong, but I’m sure there’s a good chance she can give us assistance depending on your idea to influence her to help,” Husk beamed faithfully at the angel.
”Thanks Husk. I will do my very best. If anything, I’ll see you all in a few hours. In case Charlie asks where I’m at, let her know please,” Vaggie declared as the group nodded at her request.
Walking to the exit of the hotel, Vaggie’s spear stood against the doorframe. Taking a deep breath and letting it out heavily, the former exterminator grabbed ahold of it and opened the door. With the weapon in hand and ready to speak with Carmilla Carmine, she shut the door behind her and began traveling to the Carmine Industry in hopes to defend her friends, the hotel, and her beloved Charlie.

Chapter Text
Walking to Carmine Industry was a piece of cake for Vaggie. She has mapped out most of Hell ever since she fell thanks to Charlie taking her to many places for shopping or date nights. Thankfully, none of the sinners bothered Vaggie. Her priority is to convince the overlord to lend aid and advice on how to destroy the exorcists.
Sin City is where the angel have found the building belonging to Carmilla. Vehicles to deliver weapons were parked around the structure. Surveillance cameras mounted on the industry were pointed in every direction to watch out for suspicious activity. Vaggie walked between two vans as she approached a metal rolling shutter with two cameras facing towards her.
Waiting for a few minutes outside to see if the overlord would open up to let Vaggie in, the former exorcist decided to bang on the shutters.
“Open up Carmine! I know you’re watching me through the cameras. Not to mention that you have answers on how to kill the angels. If you don’t want me to shout it out for entire Hell to hear, I suggest you let me in,” Vaggie impatiently stated to the cameras.
A couple of seconds passed until the metallic shutter reeled upward, allowing Vaggie to enter inside the property.
”Damn right you better open it for me,” the one-eyed woman muttered to herself before she continued moving ahead with her spear in hand.
That’s when she came upon a huge room with a staircase that led to the second floor. Above the deck is none other than Carmilla Carmine. Her eyes were shining red with large hands behind her back. She glowered at the fallen angel for disturbing the demon and coming here uninvited like Vaggie owned the place.
”What in Hell made you show up here unwelcomed?” Carmilla interrogated with a stern voice to the smaller woman while looking down on her.
“We need your help to defend ourselves during extermination day,” Vaggie went straight to the point.
”What makes you think I would lend a hand just so you and your friends can see another day?” The overlord began pacing around the second floor, keeping her eyes on the young woman.
”I’m not asking you to join us and fight. What I am asking is for you to tell me a way to terminate the exorcists. That way, I can prepare everyone in the hotel to attack them,” the angel gave an explanation.
“You really believe I have the knowledge to defeat the angels?” Carmine questioned as she resumed walking.
”Definitely. After all, you are the highest ranking overlord. There’s no doubt you’re capable of killing the exterminators.”
“I wonder who told you what I’ve done. However, it doesn’t matter. You figured out what I can do. Yet, someone who is an exorcist angel, you’re still dense,” Carmilla spat out the last sentence harshly.
”How so?” Vaggie furrowed her brows.
Rolling her eyes, Carmine responded, “You don’t have a single clue as to what can harm your kind. Angelic weapons such as your spear are what causes the end of angels.”
”Hold on! All this time, my spear was the answer on how to kill angels?”
“Yes. That is why you have an X over your eye because someone used an angelic weapon to harm you as an angel.”
”Ughh! How can I be this stupid?!” Vaggie felt herself become frustrated while she pinched the bridge of her nose.
”Indeed, you are. Tell me, what is truly driving you to be here? I sense it’s not all about teaching your friends to fend for themselves,” the weapon dealer quirked an eyebrow.
The ex-exorcist removed her hand from her face and replied in a serious tone, “I came here to find answers, so I can protect my friends and my girlfriend, Princess Charlie. And also because I made a mistake of never telling Charlie what I really am. I want to make it up to her by coming here to help save her dreams and hotel.”
For a moment, Carmilla noticed a change in expression. Vaggie appeared vulnerable and displeased. She can tell the angel has been beating herself up for her error. The tall demon knew for a fact Vaggie is making an effort to own up to her mistakes and put things together for a better outcome. Not just for her sake but everyone else’s.
Sighing, the powerful overlord uttered, “You’re taking responsibility by traveling here to prove to the princess you truly love her. Same goes for your friends. I have nothing but respect for you. I’d do the same if I were in your position. Which is why I have decided to grant you advice and some of my weapons.”
Whipping her head briskly to Carmilla out of shock, Vaggie claimed, “You can help me?”
”Yes, but not for free. In exchange for giving you information and my weapons, I will be training you. Your sisters above will know your every move if you go against them. Instead of following the same fighting style as you have been for years, you’ll be pursuing mine,” the arms dealer jumped from the deck to the first floor, meeting Vaggie face to face.
”Right! So where do we start?” Vaggie was ready to take on whatever Carmilla had in mind.
Unexpectedly, the mother of two strikes Vaggie with her pointed foot, making the fallen angel fall onto her back. Her spear fell beside her the same time she looked up to Carmine hovering over her.
”Too slow,” the demon remarked.
Wanting to get off the floor, Vaggie observed another attack heading towards her way. She reached for her stick and barely blocked the swift move Carmilla made, causing the short woman to slide back.
”Too frail,” she insulted her apprentice.
”What kind of game are you playing?” Vaggie gritted her teeth because she felt she was being mocked.
”You want to be a better fighter? I advise you to unleash your anger onto me. Hence, why I am insulting and striking you,” Carmilla pointed her finger to the angel.
“Is that really necessary? Trying to beat the shit out of me? On top of that, wanting to offend me?” Vaggie’s eye hardened.
”It is necessary. Think about the people that did you wrong. The ones who hurt you. The ones who made you suffer. Combine all of them together and imagine them as me. Imagine you are fighting them as they remain taunting you! Unleash your fury and attack!”
Gripping the angelic spear tightly and teeth clenched, Vaggie ran after Carmine with a war cry. She tried landing a hit on her but missed as the older woman dodged, flipping backwards and kicking Vaggie on the face.
She ignored the stinging sensation that was developing and moved forward to attack again. Swiping her spear diagonally, Carmilla blocked the weapon with her arm and pushed Vaggie back. None of Vaggie’s attempts were successful. It made her grow furious each second that had passed. That’s when she began hearing words that have been weighing her down from the beginning.
A liar!
“Damnit!” Vaggie yelled out, noticing her move didn’t affect Carmine.
A coward!
She breathed heavily while swinging her weapon in the air to at least make a minor injury to Carmilla. To no avail, it burst a flame inside of Vaggie.
Sinful filth!
“No!”
Worthless!
Vaggie was being tossed, pushed, kicked, and punched, yet she wasn’t giving up. She kept going after her mentor no matter how much pain she’s in.
A murderer!!
Many bruises and cuts were forming, drawing the tiniest bit of golden blood. That wasn’t a concern to the manager of Hazbin Hotel. She never cared what would happen to her. What’s more important is the hotel, Charlie, and their friends. She cares and loves them, even if she will not admit it to Sir Pentious, Husk, Niffty, and Angel. Hell, even she slightly likes Alastor. Vaggie finally understands that she is doing this for love. For them.
You are a FAILURE!!!
“AARGH!!!” Vaggie screamed, releasing the rage when she sensed something sprouting from her back.
It was like she lost control of herself when her new pair of wings helped her flap over Carmilla in a flash. The overlord didn’t have enough time to react when Vaggie landed behind her and collided her foot with the demon’s back, kicking her down. The weapon dealer fell on her stomach before turning around to find Vaggie pointing the tip of the spear inches away from Carmine’s chest.
A single sound was heard that belonged to the angel while she was panting and sweating as if she ran a marathon. Her small body shook considering the adrenaline rush was coursing through her veins. She snapped out of her position, moving the spear away from Carmilla. Vaggie slowly backed away and relaxed her anatomy. Gently, she tucked her wings in since she’s not using them for the moment.
Realizing what she had done, Vaggie started to apologize, “Sorry. I got carried away with my emotions there.”
Smirking, Carmilla protested, “Don’t be. It’s what I wanted from you. To let go of any negative feelings that are pent up inside of you. This will help you get far during extermination day.”
”It felt like being in therapy, but without talking about emotions. Honestly, I feel somewhat better. I even got my wings back which is a good thing,” Vaggie stared back at her wings.
Getting up from the ground, Carmine commented, “You managed to land a hit on me. It’s a small progress, but we can work with it. For your reward, I will give you some background information about my company.”
“I was waiting for you to say that,” Vaggie grinned softly as she used her spear as a cane to support her weight, ready to listen.
“It’s clear I run a business that creates and sells weapons. My weapons used to be made for self defense and killing enemies to those who buy them. It changed when I discovered angels can be killed with angelic weapons. After I killed a few with their own equipment, I collected them. They’re rare and certainly difficult to obtain, but my daughters were able to mold them into smaller samples and apply them to make spears, bullets, anything to build as a weapon.”
”Have you told your customers about it?”
”No. If only I had endless amounts of angelic weapons. It would be a high demand weapon for those who want to protect themselves for the day of extermination. I would be out of business, and that’s something I hope won’t succeed,” Carmilla revealed.
“Maybe with an army, we can kill off enough exorcists to take their weapons and send it over to you to increase them. I think we can pull it off,” Vaggie proposed a scheme.
“You’re willing to risk your life to kill many exorcists in order for me to multiply angelic weapons?” Carmilla was astonished that Vaggie would be okay with assisting an overlord such as herself.
”Why not. You are helping me which equals helping my girlfriend and her people. I want to return the favor.”
Carmine couldn’t prevent the smile surfacing on her face before she reported back, “Very well. Now then, let’s do our training all over again, mi aprendiz.”
”Let’s do this!” Vaggie was ready to train.
**************
Nearly two hours have gone by after Vaggie ventured off to meet Carmilla. During that time, the crew waited patiently downstairs for the princess to return. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case.
”Looks like Charlie ain’t handlin’ the news too well. She hasn’t come down to talk to us,” Angel addressed the bartender.
”She did say she wants to be left alone. The princess is most likely calming herself down before she proceeds to make a plan to save ourselves from the exterminators,” Husk predicted what the Princess of Hell is up to.
”I say we are fucked. But hey, if I end up dying on extermination day, I better kill at least thirty angels.”
”There’s a slim chance of you perishing from this world, my good sir,” Alastor eavesdropped and popped out of nowhere.
“What makes you think that, smiley face?” Angel questioned the deer demon.
”I have invented an idea. One where we will outnumber Adam’s creations,” Alastor gave a hint.
”Outnumbering them? Are you saying you are recruiting people to help fight them off?” Husk wondered more about his plan.
”Not just any people. Cannibals. They would love to get their hands on angels if it means eating their flesh and tasting their blood.”
The spider demon went on to say, ”Have fun tellin’ Charlie your idea while she makes an entire ocean out of her tears in her bedroom.”
”The only fun I’ll have is demolishing exorcists on extermination day,” the demon overlord’s voice was staticky.
Before the two demons could say anything else, Alastor vanished out of sight. He was teleporting to Charlie’s room thanks to his shadow. He made it inside, landing a few feet away from where Charlie was lying. The Morningstar was wrapped in a blanket, sobbing and spilling tears while trying to wipe them away with a tissue. Charlie’s bodyguards were there to keep her company in case she needed anything from them.
”Never would I have guessed the Princess of Hell would be in such complete shambles,” Alastor nonchalantly stated.
”Ugh! Go away Alastor. I want to be left alone,” Charlie turned her body away from Alastor.
”You can do that at a later time now that there are things you must fix. Such as saving your friends from their doom you’ve caused,” the radio demon advocated.
Sitting upright from her bed and narrowing her eyes at the overlord, the Morningstar irritably asked, “Are you here to make me feel worse than I already am, asshole?”
”It’s a possibility, but that’s not it my dear. I have a proposition you may consider involving extermination day,” Alastor went to sit down on the edge of Charlie’s bed.
”Will it make me feel better?” The blonde hoped for.
”I have a feeling it will. To tell you in a short timeframe, there’s someone I’d like you to meet tomorrow who may lend you fighters to protect the hotel and your friends,” Alastor summarized for the hellborn.
”Are you serious!?” Charlie no longer had a saddened expression.
”As serious as I can be. I’ll clarify more tomorrow. If I were you, I would draw a plan now if tomorrow’s visit is successful.”
”R-Right. Um, before you leave, can you tell me what Vaggie is doing?” Charlie gazed down at her hands that were fiddling with the blanket.
”She’s not here,” Alastor plainly responded.
”What? Did Vaggie tell you where she went?” She began worrying.
”She traveled to meet Carmilla Carmine to see if she’ll provide details on how to kill the exorcists. Your lover has been gone for over two hours.”
”Two hours with an overlord?!! What if something happened to her? What if Carmilla took her soul? What if-“
Alastor interrupted her rambling, ”Do not freight. Vaggie is perfectly capable of taking care of herself. Worry more about creating a plan. Understood?”
”I… suppose,” Charlie still had some concern lingering for the angel.
”Good girl. I have important errands to run today. I’ll be meeting you tomorrow afternoon downstairs,” Alastor mentioned before he disappeared into his shadow, leaving Charlie alone with Razzle and Dazzle.
Letting out a deep breath and lying back down, Charlie told her bodyguards, “I hope Vaggie is okay.”
All Razzle and Dazzle could do is whimper, understanding what Charlie is going through.
Notes:
Carmilla is mommy respectfully, and there’s not enough Chaggie fics. Anyone who disagrees will have to fight me.
Chapter 3: An Army for Battle
Summary:
Charlie meets a long-time acquaintance of Alastors.
Chapter Text
Charlie had been distracting herself building a plan most of the day. There were some areas missing to fill a complete strategy, so she chose to finish it tomorrow after visiting Alastor’s friend. Taking a break and leaving her office, Charlie came to check on her friends who remained downstairs in the lobby. The demons were having drinks at the bar, chatting to each other about extermination day. Their conversations seemed to die down after the princess was nearing them.
They noticed her putting on a fake smile before standing near the counter. If any of them mentioned Vaggie or said her name, it’s a possibility Charlie would break down in front of them. The demons even agreed not to talk about what happened in Heaven until the Morningstar was ready to do so. All they could do was invite her to drink and offer some friendly company.
She passed on drinking but wanted to hang out with her demon friends. Sitting on the bar stool, Charlie mentioned a few details about her game plan since the gang were on the topic of extermination. She included the part where her and Alastor are going to visit someone in hopes to gather an army. They listened and added in their inputs to make the plan better. Charlie took note and thanked the group before heading on over to her office.
The hellborn modified the intentions of winning the battle when she looked at the clock beside her. It was nearly ten o’clock at night, and there she was wondering why her eyes began feeling heavy. Satisfied with her progress, Charlie decided to go to bed. Everything was organized and lights were turned off in the office room right before walking down the hallway to her bedroom.
Opening the door and revealing the room to be empty felt odd to Charlie. Usually, her and Vaggie would come into their room, hand in hand, ready to start their nightly routine with smiles on their faces. This time, it was only Charlie, alone and hollow. The blonde was too exhausted to do anything at the moment and crashed straight into bed. Charlie’s face landed on her pillow with her body laying front first.
The woman slowly turned her head to the right to find an empty space where Vaggie regularly slept. Out of instinct, Charlie reached over to Vaggie’s pillow and hugged it close to her face and chest. The pillow had her girlfriend’s scent of sweet citrus. Charlie inhaled it, reminding her the memories between her and the angel. Then the emotions seemed to hit the Princess of Hell. Her eyes were watering, rolling a few tears down.
She nuzzled her face deeper in the pillow, pretending that it’s Vaggie cuddling her. There’s no denying the owner of Hazbin was missing the ex-exorcist. It didn’t feel right to be alone without her partner right by her side. It’s been hours and hours, and Vaggie hasn’t returned to the hotel. Maybe the one-eyed woman wasn’t coming back ever. She probably made a decision to leave Charlie and the others to fend for themselves. Meeting Carmilla was perhaps a way to get away from Charlie and go back to Heaven once the portal opens for the exorcists to enter Hell.
The hellborn overthought the situation of Vaggie departing forever and sobbed over it to the point where she cried herself to sleep. Meanwhile, the fallen angel made it home close to midnight. She placed her spear to lean near the entrance door and walked to the staircase. Vaggie stretched her limbs while climbing the stairs and trailing down the hallway after a long and brutal training session with Carmine.
Quietly stepping in front of the door to her bedroom, she opened and peeked through the darkened area. A dim night light shone from Charlie’s side of her bed, next to her nightstand. It was enough to make out a silhouette of the demon princess sound asleep on her stomach. Vaggie caught a glimpse of Charlie’s right arm holding the pillow belonging to her.
The former exorcist sensed the feeling of guilt rising just by seeing her girlfriend sprawled across the mattress and being replaced by the pillow she lies her head on. Letting a silent sigh out, Vaggie gently closed the door now that she knows Charlie is okay and safe. Vaggie head to the lounge room to set her own bed on the couch. The short woman believed it wouldn’t be right to sleep with Charlie in the same bedroom. The Morningstar needed space, and Vaggie is willing to respect her boundaries.
Grabbing a spare blanket and pillow from the laundry room cabinet, she made her bed and settled down to ease her sore body. Lying on her back, Vaggie gazed at the ceiling, thinking about needing to return tomorrow morning at the Carmine Industry. Carmilla wanted the angel to come back for their last training lessons and to bring the angelic weapons to the hotel at noon. That would give Vaggie enough time to introduce the weapons to her friends.
The only thing Vaggie didn’t like about the timing Carmine set up is the fact she wouldn’t be able to see Charlie in the morning and hopefully talk to her about yesterday’s reveal. She’d need to wait a little longer before confessing her story of how she fell to her lover. As of now, sleep was taking a toll on her. Entering into slumber, all she could dream about is Charlie.
Three o’clock hit when the daughter of Lucifer shifted in her sleep. Her anatomy felt uncomfortable from the position she was sleeping and eventually woke up. Charlie’s throat felt dry, and her face had tear stains. Sitting up from the bed, she noticed Vaggie wasn’t next to her. Worrying if Vaggie was even home at all, she removed herself from the mattress to go downstairs and check if her girlfriend was there. Plus, she wanted a glass of water to hydrate herself as well.
Charlie rubbed her eyes as she stepped down to the first floor. At first, she didn’t pay attention to her surroundings while going to the kitchen. There, she opened the fridge door to take out a container of water. Putting it on the counter, she fetched a cup in one of the covers. Pouring the water into her glass and returning the container back into the fridge, she exited the kitchen. Charlie took some sips of the water at the same time her eyes wandered around the foyer and the room next door.
Assuming her partner might be in one of the hotel rooms that’s not occupied, the princess spotted a lump on the couch in the lounge area. Quietly walking to see who’s sleeping there, she hovered over the body to find Vaggie in deep sleep. She was snoring lightly, her chest rising and falling with the blanket covering half of her body. And oh did Charlie wish she could stretch out her hand to hold her partner’s gorgeous face and rub her thumb across her cheek. Though, it would wake her up.
Charlie’s concerns were washed away knowing that Vaggie did not disappear or run away forever. But it hurt to see her girlfriend sleeping by herself on the couch instead of being in the same bed as Charlie. It didn’t matter if the Morningstar was still upset over Vaggie lying. The angel deserved to sleep comfortably at least.
Not wanting to stare at the sleeping woman like a creep any longer, Charlie left the lounge and proceeded to her bedroom. Before knocking out, Charlie had hoped Vaggie would be there in the morning to talk things out until the princess had to go on a trip with Alastor to visit his friend. It could go from bad to good or the other way around. Whatever it is, Charlie prefers it to remain good.

It was early in the morning when Vaggie had gotten ready to leave once more to see Carmilla. Nobody was up at this time beside Charlie. However, the princess completely forgot to turn her alarm on when Vaggie went to verify that Charlie is okay. As much as she wanted to wake up her partner to get ready for another work day, the blonde earned a day to sleep in. After shutting the bedroom door, it was Vaggie’s cue to leave. A written sticky note was left behind on the rails of the stairs for the first person that comes down.
Four hours had gone by after the one-eyed woman went to the Carmine building. Charlie suddenly felt well rested as her eyes slowly opened. She rubbed her eyelids then stopped to clear her vision. Using her elbows to hold up her upper body, she turned her head to look at the alarm clock standing on the nightstand. It was past eleven. Opening her eyes wider and grabbing the alarm clock to look closer, she realized she overslept.
Jumping out of bed, Charlie hurriedly prepared herself for the day. She desperately rushed her routine in order for her to run to the lobby and see if Vaggie was still here at Hazbin. Unfortunately, she wasn’t anywhere in sight. The only people that were awake and downstairs were Sir Pentious, Angel, Husk, and Niffty.
Where in the world did she run off to this time? She thought.
“If ya lookin’ for her, she left a note sayin’ that she went back with Carmine to finish some business,” Angel somehow read her mind.
“Oh! Thanks Angel, for letting me know,” Charlie offered a small beam.
Shrugging, he said, “No worries, toots.”
Out of the blue, Alastor teleported from his shadow on the ground surface. He made an entrance with his usual grin and staff in hand. The radio demon’s ears perked up when he heard Charlie pacing down the stairs to him.
”Good morning, my dear! It’s almost noon and you’ve barely woken up I see.”
”I accidentally slept in. I didn’t set my alarm and overslept extra hours than I normally do,” the Princess of Hell gave an explanation.
”Worry not Charlie! I received word that my companion would like to meet you as of now instead of later,” Alastor dropped the news.
”That’s not a problem. Where are we heading off to?”
”To Cannibal Town,” Alastor made his response short.
”You have a friend that’s a cannibal?” Charlie asked the overlord.
“Why yes. You’ll be delighted to meet her once I introduce you both properly,” the radio loving demon replied.
”Can’t wait,” the Morningstar sent a timid smile.
”Let us be on our way then,” Alastor set in motion to leave the hotel.
Nodding, the blonde glimpsed at her friends and vocalized, “I’ll be back soon.”
“Go ahead princess. Make sure to bring some troops with you,” Husk lent a determined smirk.
“I will,” Charlie returned the smile before following Alastor out of Hazbin.
The two demons started their journey to Cannibal Town at Pentagram City. It was a ten minute walk which neither Alastor nor Charlie minded the distance. The noises of explosions and gunfire were something the duo were used to. However, the princess blocked out the sounds and was deep in thought. A lot was going through her mind. Thoughts were moving back and forth like a game of ping pong.
She pondered if her final plan would work. Charlie is figuring out what to say to Vaggie when the time comes to debate about her past. She aims to meet Alastor’s friend and take home an army without a problem. And lastly, Vaggie’s visit with Carmilla may be worth it to take away the victory from Adam and the exorcists. The daughter of Lucifer is struggling to have hope, but maybe coming home with a horde of soldiers will help ease her anxiety.
“We’ve reached Cannibal Town,” Alastor declared aloud.
Snapping out of her thoughts, Charlie knew they made it when she saw the town covered in blood. There were many cannibals feeding off of deceased newcomers, ripping their limbs and eating away their flesh and skin. Charlie couldn’t help herself from making a disgusted face. Alastor did not care as long as the cannibals didn’t coat his clothing with blood. Passing through the flesh eating demons, Charlie stumbled upon a large shop where Alastor stopped in front of.
“Here we are,” the radio demon presented the structure.
Charlie read the name of the store called Rosie’s Emporium. The name then clicked together in Charlie’s head. She was meeting the Cannibal overlord known as Rosie. Setting foot in the building, lots of cannibals were viewing displays of outfits and body parts to purchase. One particular cannibal stood out. And that certain cannibal gasp when she caught Alastor inside her store.
”Alastor? Is that you?” She came fast walking to the radio overlord.
”It is I my friend,” Alastor grinned wider, happy to see his cannibal friend.
”It’s wonderful to see you again. My, it’s been awhile since we’ve talked,” Rosie gave a small, quick embrace to Alastor.
“Indeed it has. Charlie… This is Rosie, the most dangerous overlord in this town and an amazing leader of cannibals who sells the highest quality of flesh and blood you’ll ever buy. And this is Princess Charlie Morninstar. The daughter of Lucifer, next in line to rule Hell.”
“Oh Alastor! No need to go overboard with the introduction. It’s a pleasure to meet you darling! Come on in and make yourself comfortable,” Rosie dragged Charlie to a sitting room while Alastor trailed behind them.
”It’s nice to meet you too Rosie,” Charlie lifted the corner of her lips, feeling nervous.
”Would you care for some blood-covered fingers? Maybe tea or a leg?” Rosie offered.
“Uh, no thank you. I’m okay,” Charlie politely declined.
“No problem dear. I’m glad you made it here safely. Alastor here mentioned your situation about the angels coming down to your hotel. I proposed he would bring you here to discuss an idea of mine,” the cannibal addressed.
“That’s correct. From what Alastor told me, you are able to provide me with a group of people to help defend my friends and the hotel,” the demon princess recalled the conversation.
”I wouldn’t say I’m able to. You see, my cannibal people aren’t inclined to do anything without a purpose or some sort of reward. They like bloodshed, yet they’ll need something in return. It’s mainly up to you to win them over.”
”I’m assuming that will be the hard part,” the blonde uttered worriedly.
“No. Unless you have a speech in mind, it won’t be so difficult. But I sense there is something eating you away that does not involve extermination as much. So tell Auntie Rosie what’s bugging you?” Rosie had Charlie sit on a seat across from her.
”You’re right. Extermination day is only a small portion of what I’m worried about. The bigger portion is my girlfriend. We’ve been dating for three years just for me to barely find out a secret she has been holding onto. She lied about being a sinner when in reality, she’s an exorcist,” Charlie ranted as she placed both hands to cover her face, hoping she would not cry.
”Oh shit! That’s some secret. What was your first impression when you learned about her secret?” Rosie questioned as she sipped some bloody tea.
”I was angry, upset, and hurt that she never told me. I would’ve accepted her no matter who or what she is. We haven’t talked about it yet because we’ve been busy preparing for the battle and because I needed time to contemplate the secret. I feel like I’m slowly losing her, but at the same time, I didn’t give her a chance to explain and make things right. So it’s also my fault for pushing her away,” Charlie elaborated as warm tears were ready to flow.
”I can tell you really love this girl deeply if it’s making you emotional. Tell me, has she done anything that proved to you she’s not who she used to be?”
”Of course! She’s been supporting me and my dreams. She would protect the hotel from anyone who deems a threat. She even went as far as to meet the weapon dealer, Carmilla Carmine, to grab information about defeating the angels,” Charlie listed the things Vaggie has done for.
”Hmm. So Carmilla is the one who killed an angel. Anyways, your girlfriend has given you her help to keep the hotel safe and be by your side to support your dreams. Your hotel is all about redemption. Doesn’t that mean she’s trying to redeem herself too?” Rosie planted a comforting hand on Charlie’s shoulder.
”Yeah. She is,” the hellborn stated, feeling calmer.
Retreating her hand, the overlord exclaimed, “There you go! She did fuck up, sure. She’s flawed. But so is everyone else. What matters are actions. They are the key to show you are doing what needs to be done rather than saying cheap words that have no meaning. Keep that in mind darling,” Rosie displayed a tender smile.
Charlie did the same and divulged, “I will. Thank you, Rosie. I really needed someone to talk to about my problem.”
“That’s what I’m here for. To solve any issues and offer advice. Now that you’re back to feeling better, are you ready to win over some cannibals’ hearts?” The tall cannibal stood up from the chair.
”Yes! I’ll do my best,” Charlie gained back her confidence and courage.
”Good to know. Alastor, would you be a dear and take Charlie outside to the gazebo? I will begin gathering the cannibals to see her.”
”Not a problem. Come along Charlie. You’ll have enough time to prepare yourself before the announcement begins,” Alastor placed a hand on Charlie’s back to guide her to the exit.
“I really want this to work, Alastor. If not, I will be sending everyone to their doom,” Charlie brought up.
”There’s a high probability you won’t fail. Think what it will take to convince the cannibals that fighting multiple exorcists is worthy. Afterwards, they will agree to duel and follow your lead,” the deer demon advised the woman.
”Okay. I’m sure I got this under control,” Charlie held her head up with will power.
”Indeed, you do, my dear.”
Chapter 4: Accomplished and Forgiven
Summary:
Training begins! Vaggie and Charlie communicate their feeings.
Chapter Text
“My daughters and I have completed the order of angelic weapons. Once Odette and Clara bring them here, I will give you details of how each weapon works,” Carmilla gave a heads up.
”Cool. I’m looking forward to seeing your creations,” Vaggie responded as she was stretching her limbs after finishing her training with the weapon dealer.
”So am I. How are things coming along with the princess? Has she spoken to you yet?” Carmine curiously questioned the woman.
”Nope. Because I arrived home pretty late, Charlie was already asleep. She didn’t wake up early like she usually does. Therefore, we missed a chance to talk about my situation,” the angel summarized.
”What are you expecting to happen when the time comes?”
”I don’t know. Charlie lashing out on me? Hating me for lying? I really don’t know what will happen,” Vaggie averted her eyes anywhere but Carmilla.
”I seriously doubt that. The princess appears to be the type to forgive and understand someone’s past. It would be stupid for her to not pardon your mistakes when you’ve been loyal and helping her with the hotel,” Carmilla relayed her opinion.
“I get that, but still. I feel like I’m still not doing enough to satisfy her,” the former exorcist crossed her arms and held a shamed look.
Putting both hands on Vaggie’s shoulders, the overlord softly claimed, ”You are doing enough for your partner. By being here. The princess will no longer be stressed as much thanks to you stopping by here and asking for guidance. It will show her you are just as dedicated to helping her like she is to redeeming the souls in Hell. ¿Tú entiendes?”
“Sí, lo entiendo,” Vaggie looked at Carmilla when answering her.
”Perfecto,” the weapon dealer smiled.
On cue, Carmine’s daughters entered the training room with a huge cart filled with different weapons.
”Mierda! I didn’t expect you guys to go all out,” Vaggie was surprised at the sight of the cart.
”Considering you and your comrades are going up against endless amounts of exorcists, it is wise to arm yourself with varieties of our finest equipment,” Odette proclaimed.
”Along with our weaponry, we added some gear and clothing to you and your friend’s fitting. We also made sure to create the weapons fit for each of your acquaintances that they can handle using,” Clara carried on.
”Thanks guys. The gang and I definitely appreciate the work you three put in,” Vaggie beamed at the three women.
”It’s not a problem. To get you out and prepared for war, let’s quickly go over the weapons,” Carmilla went to grab the first weapon she saw.
Pulling out a gun attached with a magazine and clips, Carmine went ahead and clarified the specifics, including bullets that are made of angelic steel. Vaggie knew it was perfect for Angel since he owns a gun himself. Next up were playing cards with sharp edges of angelic steel. Husk will be happy to use them. Then, bombs were next to be presented. Inside of them has shards of steel that will obliterate the angels. Hopefully Cherri Bomb could use them if she joins in the fight.
There were cannonballs made out of angelic metal, something Sir Pentious would enjoy blasting in the air. What was left were knives and spears, pretty much similar to Vaggie’s spear. Niffty would be fond of having a knife in hand knowing she uses a needle to stab bugs.
”Looks like we went through every weapon. The gears and other equipment are easy to understand what they are for. My daughters will take the cart over to the hotel with you to drop everything off,” Carmilla notified the fallen angel.
”Well… before I go, I want to say thank you for teaching me how to fight properly and sending me off with weapons. I’ll do whatever I can to repay you,” Vaggie went to hug the tall woman.
“You can repay me by kicking the angels’ asses and winning,” Carmine hugged back before releasing the younger angel.
“Oh I definitely will. I hope I can visit you again.”
”You will, cariño. Good luck with the battle.”
“Thanks, Carmine. Let’s go ladies,” Vaggie glanced at the daughters as they nodded and went after the ex-exorcist, putting a blanket to cover the top of the cart and began pushing it together.
****************
“All right everybody! Settle down as we are about to begin,” Rosie declared loudly through the megaphone.
She was by the stairs leading to the gazebo while rounding up the rest of the cannibals to crowd around the small stage. Charlie was rehearsing what she would say as Alastor handed her his microphone staff. Walking up the stairs, Rosie met up with the two demons.
”We have everybody gathered around. Now before you go on to do your speech, sweetheart, there’s one specific cannibal you need to really convince,” Rosie mentioned to the hellborn.
”Ugh! Susan. An old bitch who can be a bit too much in my opinion,” Alastor added on.
“Exactly. Once you get her on your side, everyone will do the same. Okay?” The cannibal overlord provided a tip.
”Got it!” Charlie flashed a motivated smile.
“Good luck,” Rosie allowed the blonde to take the stage.
Charlie took a deep breath before proceeding forward with both hands holding onto Alastor’s staff.
The Morningstar hasn’t said a word until she heard someone muttering, “Get this blondie off the stage.”
She knew it was Susan when she listened to Rosie letting out a sigh. Disregarding the comment, Charlie finally started her speech.
”Have any of you had a desire so intense you can practically taste it?” The princess asked the crowd.
”Like human flesh?” Susan inquired.
”Uh, sure! It’s a rumbling feeling in your stomach which I feel currently because I have so many things that are dear to me. And if I want to achieve my goals, I need to be a leader. One who everyone can rely on and is willing to die for their people. I’ll be taking over the throne someday, so it is time I take charge and lead my people to victory! So what do you guys say to feasting as many angels as you’d like?”
Some cannibals began liking the idea of tasting angels, something they haven’t had before. A few shouted in agreement to eating the exorcists.
“Free food? I’m in!”
”It’s like a flesh buffet!”
“I’m desperate to taste them!”
”Getting a sample of angels is what’s driving you all to get your hands on them. Saving my friends and the hotel is what is driving me to fight! With your help, we can both get what we want. I’m ready to make a change. And I know you guys have it in you to make a change as well. A new appetite for angels. How about it?”
“I’m on board!”
“So eager to eat some angel wings!”
”Let’s do this!”
”You got my approval, blondie,” Susan waved her cane around.
Sighing in relief at the approval, Charlie ended her speech by saying, “Perfect! Even though I’m against violence, I will allow murdering this time. We can provide you weapons and training to kill and eat as many angels as you would like. So let’s get to the hotel and kick some angel butts tomorrow!”
The crowd roared in excitement and began following Charlie to the hotel along with Alastor by her side while Rosie watched the group of cannibals from afar to make sure none fell behind. The blonde has never felt this much thrill to bring an army home. After all these years, she truly detected herself as a leader. Charlie would rely on her girlfriend and friends, but that’s going to change. As the owner and founder of Hazbin Hotel, it’s time she takes responsibility and fights back. For her people.
“You’ve done a wonderful job. You even switched Susan’s bitchy mood to a peaceful one,” Alastor was proud of the princess.
”Thanks Alastor. It’s thanks to you and Rosie that I made it this far to earn my own army,” Charlie was grateful for the overlords’ help.
”It’s nothing, my dear. Most of us are tired of hiding in the shadows from Adam and his pathetic troops. What you’re doing is benefiting everyone in Hell,” the deer man pointed out.
”Yeah. You’re right. Um, speaking of Adam. There’s a favor I need to ask before I finalize the plan and go over it today with everyone.”
”What favor are you implying princess?” The radio demon tilted his head in wonder.
”Is it okay if you fight against Adam? You’re the strongest, so I was thinking you would be able to pull it off and take him down,” Charlie came up with a reason for Alastor to go against the leader of the exorcist.
”I wouldn’t mind. It’d be a pleasure and a dream to rid the first man. His dead body is perfect to dissect and remove his org-“
”Okayyy! No need to go into further detail. But thanks, for agreeing with my idea,” the princess intruded but thanked him.
“As long as I can taunt and use Adam to broadcast his death, it would be an honor to slaughter him,” Alastor humbly said.
”Good to know,” Charlie was unsure what to say about Alastor’s violent tendencies.
****************
It was early afternoon when Vaggie was the first to arrive at the hotel with the weapons before Charlie made it with the cannibals. This is during the time the Princess of Hell is giving her speech. It would give the angel a little bit of time to teach her friends what she learned from Carmine. Handing over some money to Carmilla’s daughters for their help bringing the weapons, they bid farewell to the small woman and went home.
Vaggie then brought in the cart of weapons inside the hotel, setting foot unannounced. Ahead of her was the crew gathered at the bar. Even Cherri Bomb were with the boys and Niffty. That meant there was a hole on the left side of the hotel that will be needing repairing. Vaggie couldn’t help but roll her eyes and groan at the destruction. She stopped midway in the lobby when everyone heard footsteps and turned their heads to the direction of the sound.
”Well well well. If it isn’t Vagatha,” Sir Pentious happily notified the others.
“When did you get your wings back?” Husk was shocked to see the feathery appendage on Vaggie.
“Yesterday thanks to Carmilla. She ignited something in me to somehow regrow them,” the manager of Hazbin answered while showing them off.
”I bet it’s soft if I feel ‘em,” Angel imagined.
“Well you aren’t going to touch them anytime soon. Besides, I brought some gifts for you guys to try out. Including you, Cherri,” Vaggie was ready to show her friends what she transported.
”Seriously?! Show us what you got bitch,” Cherri Bomb jumped off the bar stool to check out what Vaggie has along with the rest of the demons.
Uncovering the large handcart, the weapons were revealed for everyone to see. Some gasped and eyes lit up at the beautiful sight.
“No fuckin’ way! Did you get these babies from Carmine?” Angel inquired in amazement.
”You bet I did. I specifically told her the type of weapons each of you use and to modify them to your guy’s liking,” Vaggie started passing out the weaponry.
“You really care about us, kid. Looks like you’ve gained my trust,” Husk’s lips curled up out of fondness.
”Mine too!” Pentious and Niffty shouted in agreement in sync.
”Same here,” Angel grinned at Vaggie.
”Not to be nosy, but what’s going on here?” Cherri was puzzled at the circumstance.
”You can catch her up with what’s been happening, Angel,” Vaggie told the spider demon.
”Say no more Vagina,” Angel teased the woman with the nickname.
The ex-exorcist scowled at the pornstar and resumed her statement, ”But at a later time. Right now, I’m going to prepare all of you for tomorrow’s battle. The weapon you are holding has something valuable that can kill any angel you come in contact with. Found in my spear I’ve been using is what’s called angelic steel. That’s the key to taking down the exorcists.”
”Sweet! We can finally take those fuckers down,” Cherri Bomb couldn’t contain her eagerness.
“Yes we can. I’m going to teach you guys how to defend yourselves and use the weapons correctly. You guys should head outside while I find some targets to practice on,” the one-eyed woman suggested.
”Will do, kiddo. Let’s go guys,” the cat demon wavered for the others to come outside.
The gang went off to wait for Vaggie as she gathered materials to build targets. Meanwhile, Charlie is marching her way through the city with a group of cannibals behind her. She and Alastor chatted more about extermination day and how they are likely to win. The radio demon also included what he did during the day of killing sinners in the past years being in Hell.
As they had their conversations, the more they came close to the hotel, the more the ground shook. It worried Charlie as she wasn’t positive whether or not her home was being attacked. Once she was able to see the front of the structure, it became clear as to what was causing the movement below her hooves. The hellborn couldn’t believe her eyes when she saw her clients and employees training with weaponry she hadn’t seen before.
The blonde, Alastor, and the cannibals passed through the arched fence when they heard yelling of encouragement. The voice Charlie recognized was none other than her girlfriend. She sounded like a commander in the military with a stern tone.
“That’s right, Pentious! You and your egg bois are doing great! I like the accuracy of your aim, Angel! I want to see more of it! Keep up with the stabbing Niffty! Add more bombs in the air, and you’ll be exploding more than one angel, Cherri Bomb! Husk, use your wings to better direct the cards towards the targets so they won’t solely attack you from the ground!”
Each one of them listened to Vaggie’s advice and put it to use. Thanks to her, it built a significant amount of power and saved energy to strike down the dummies and empty glass bottles the fallen angel picked out. To Charlie’s eyes, her friends were having a blast training. They had genuine smiles on their faces, one the princess hadn’t seen before. It was all because of Vaggie.
Speaking of Vaggie, the Morningstar spotted a pair of gray and white wings attached to her partner’s back. They were fairly large and appeared very smooth to the point where it made Charlie want to run her fingers over them. Maybe later she would, but as of now, her job is to get the cannibals to train like the others are doing. She continued bringing the army near the hotel when the angel stopped her tracks and gaze at the Princess of Hell and the people with her.
Vaggie didn’t move where she stood until her girlfriend came face to face with one another. Charlie wasn’t sure what to say to Vaggie as a lot of things were coming into mind at once for what she could tell her. Although, Vaggie is the one to break the silence between them.
”Hey Charlie. I see you brought company,” Vaggie referred to the crowd of cannibals.
”I did. And I see you’re teaching our friends to fight and protect themselves,” Charlie retorted back.
”I am. They adjusted quickly with Carmine’s weapons she lent us. They are enjoying it more than I thought they would,” the ex-exorcist whirled her head to stare at her friends having fun.
”Alastor told me you went to see her to find a solution to end the exorcists. I want to say thank you for doing that. You didn’t have to,” the demon princess softened her voice at the end.
“I vowed myself to protect you and the hotel. So I needed to do whatever it takes to keep that promise. And that’s by dragging myself to see Carmilla,” Vaggie glanced at Charlie’s face to show she meant what she said.
The daughter of Lucifer got the hint as her heart raced wildly for her lover. There was no doubt Vaggie would let Charlie’s world crumble. Rosie was right about actions being better than words. It proves a lot of things. Vaggie changing and going along to help Charlie’s dream and hotel thrive, is more than enough evidence to her. For that reason, she is ready to forgive.
“You really don’t know how much it means to me for you to do that. Someone taught me action is enough proof to show somebody has changed and meant what they say. It made me realize you’ve proven yourself over and over that what you have been doing for me is because you want to redeem yourself and keep my dream alive. And for that, I want to forgive you and hand you a souvenir I took from Cannibal Town,” the hellborn took her girlfriend’s hand and placed a shrunken head keychain on top.
Charlie let go of her hand and allowed Vaggie to examine the gift. Suddenly, the blonde saw Vaggie’s wings curl down and a change of expression. Charlie became alarmed when teardrops slowly dropped on the ground. Before the princess could ask what was wrong, Vaggie beat her to it, clutching the present tightly.
“T-Thank you Charlie. I appreciate you for forgiving me. I just wanna say that I am sorry for lying about what I am. I should’ve told you sooner, and you deserve to know the truth. I know I have to fix my mistake, and I’m willing to do so if you’re wanting to give me a second chance,” the one-eyed woman sniffled at Charlie’s gesture.
“You know I always give out second chances. So of course I’ll give you as many chances as I want,” Charlie gently spoke as she held the woman’s face and wiped the tears away with her thumbs.
Going in for a hug, Vaggie held onto Charlie for dear life while Charlie returned the act. The embrace revealed how much the couple missed each other. They yearned for love, warmth, and comfort during the time they were separated. And in the end, they received it. All was forgiven and ready to move forward. Both unwrapped their arms, ending the bear hug to now go over plans for the new army.
“Now that everything is settled, I have a huge group of cannibals that need training. Would it be okay for them to join your lessons? I’ll be there to help you as well,” Charlie asked her partner.
”I’m okay with that. If you can help me grab some spears for the cannibals, that would be great,” Vaggie requested assistance.
”You got it! Just let me talk to these guys so they know what’s going on. It won’t take long,” Charlie proposed before moving ahead.
”Go on, hon,” Vaggie motioned her head towards the army and began walking to the hotel.
Fully turning around, the Princess of Hell faced the cannibals and proclaimed loudly, “While my girlfriend is fetching some spears for you guys, she and I will be getting ready to train all of you to fight and defend yourselves.”
”Can we eat her?” Someone in the crowd wondered.
”No! Absolutely not! She’s one of us even though she is an angel,” Charlie had to make it clear to the cannibals.
”Aww,” the unknown cannibal let out a disappointed sigh.
”Sorry, but she’s off limits. Anyways, I’ll be right back to get some spears for you guys,” Charlie changed the subject and sped off to aid Vaggie in the hotel.
The princess and her angel were able to make the biggest accomplishment today in order to defeat Adam and his soldiers. Vaggie was certain they could be led to triumph. Charlie, however, still has some doubts. She’s afraid the outcome of the battle may end up losing one of her friends or Vaggie. It’s a possibility that the demon does not want to think about. There’s only hope and faith that her worst nightmare won’t come true. She is going to carry out what she can to prevent deaths based on her plan. Conceivably, it’ll work without a problem.
Chapter 5: Preparations Comes with Distress

Chapter Text
“To end it off, you hold the end of the spear and go for the kill. The reason why our hands are far away from the metal point while preparing ourselves to strike is because it’ll give us a far distance between the enemy and ourselves. We will have enough reaction time to shield our bodies in case the angels counterattack,” Vaggie thoroughly explicated to the cannibals.
Before the fallen angel began a new session to assemble a trained group, Vaggie taught Charlie a few fighting skills first to pass over the knowledge to the cannibals. It was quick since the princess is a fast learner and memorized each move. Giving each of the flesh eaters a spear, they were split into two groups for Charlie and Vaggie to take charge. They demonstrated the fighting abilities before permitting the cannibals to take a shot onto the handmade targets.
The couple would analyze every individual to make sure they are doing everything correctly. With patience, they will have the cannibals do it again and again until they manage to engrave the fighting method in their heads. The cannibals’ favorite part during their first training is fake blood gushing out of the dummies when piercing the stuffed bodies at a rapid pace. Vaggie did not mind the blood, but Charlie was slightly grossed out at how realistically it was.
Alastor was a bystander, watching everything unfold. Niffty, Angel, Husk, Cherri Bomb, and Sir Pentious were doing just fine rehearsing in Vaggie’s eye. They already had experience in battling with similar weapons. The angel was there to add in an extra touch and motivation to make them more effective and precise. Eventually, the cannibals are on their level of guarding and attacking. As a result, the training lasted for three hours. The sky turned dark which meant it was time to rest.
Charlie didn’t hesitate to bring the cannibals in the hotel, giving them assigned rooms to stay in. Neither of them were ready to sleep, and that gave the hellborn an opportunity to review the plan before everybody split ways. With a large whiteboard and a marker, Charlie drew the hotel and outside of it to showcase where the battle is taking place. She then grabbed their attention while they surrounded her.
”Okay everyone! I am going to explain clearly what our plan is to maintain the momentum of combating the exorcists. Adam and his fighters will be spawning through a portal up here,” Charlie circled the approximate location where the sky is.
She continued, “We will be in front of the hotel, waiting for the exorcists to appear. The cannibals will be on the front line over here. Vaggie and I will be behind them protecting the left side of the hotel. Pentious will protect the right side with his cannons. Angel, Cherri Bomb, and Husk will fend off any exorcists that come close to the hotel. Niffty will strike at any angels that are knocked down. Lastly, Alastor will be on the roof of the hotel to build a barrier and fight the first man, Adam. Any questions?”
One cannibal raised his hand up as Charlie let him ask away, “Can we eat the angels while in battle?”
”Umm, you can grab a limb to eat while fighting,” Charlie nicely answered his question.
“Sounds good to me,” he gave a thumbs up.
”Any other questions?” The princess clasps her hands together, examining the room for anyone who has questions.
So far, they remained quiet and some people shook their heads no. The plan was plain and simple. Charlie didn’t want to make it complicated for everyone to understand clearly. Therefore, she simplified what role each individual will be taking in the fight.
”Awesome! Before we’re dismissed, I just wanna say I am proud and grateful for everyone here who is courageous and dedicated to fight against the exorcist. You guys are willing to stand up for yourselves and attack those who come down to kill us. You deserve a pat on the back, so feel proud of yourselves too. To end my little speech, I say we are all worthy to celebrate our achievements. So how about we get some drinks?” Charlie ecstatically shrieked, lifting both her arms up.
“Let’s do it!” Vaggie raised a fist in the air, feeling pumped.
“Fuck yeah! I’m ready to live it up, princess,” Cherri smirked at the leader.
The cannibals agreed at the idea, and that’s when Charlie stared at Husk as he knew the drill, meaning he’s back to working. Mostly everybody was heading to the bar and lounge to relax and chat about training or extermination day. Vaggie was about to follow Charlie to the bar when she was pulled back by the shoulder. Glancing over and above her shoulder was Alastor with his normal grin.
“My dear Vaggie. May I have a word with you in private?”
Confused as to why Alastor wanted to talk to her out of nowhere, Vaggie nodded and said, “Sure.”
Alastor then began walking away to another room which was the kitchen. No one has hardly entered there which made it a perfect and quiet spot to discuss what Alastor has to say to Vaggie. The ex-exorcist followed the overlord and entered the room. The demon went on one side of the counter in the middle of the kitchen. The angel moved to the other side of the counter to face the deer demon from across.
Eager to know what Alastor wants to talk about, Vaggie interrogated, ”Out of all people, why would you want to speak to me privately?”
“I would like to make a small deal regarding your ex-leader, Adam,” answered Alastor.
“You want to make a deal? And it’s about Adam?” Vaggie was unsure where this discussion was heading.
”Why yes. I’m aware you don’t associate with deals nor would you give your soul away. However, I did give you a boost to make your princess happy by bringing weapons from Carmine. Now it is your turn to offer me something,” the radio man concluded.
”Like what?” The one-eyed woman crossed her arms, waiting for Alastor to speak what’s on his mind.
“I need some brief information about the first man’s tactics and fighting abilities. Besides that, you can help me with my radio tower for a week.”
“Well… it is true you helped me make Charlie happy. As for your radio tower, you’re not going to make me do anything that I won’t like, right?” Vaggie gawked at the man to make him aware of what she’s asking.
Without hesitation, Alastor replied, ”Correct! It’ll be small and harmless errands you will be doing for me to better my tower. As long as you uphold the end of your deal, we won’t have a problem.”
”I won’t be shaking your hand. However, you got yourself a deal,” the former exorcist leaned onto the counter.
”Wonderful! Now go on and spill what you know about Adam’s powers,” Alastor wavered his hand up and down.
”Knowing that you are going against him, he’ll be difficult to beat. It’s obvious Adam has angelic powers. He mainly carries his guitar that is also an ax to make a light blade and cut through anything. Not to mention he can resize his weapon. Something that I would worry about is the first man can blast holy light which can cause massive destruction depending on how much energy he uses. Adam is pretty fast at attacking and will be the first to make a move. And I think that’s about it,” Vaggie listed Adam’s abilities.
“You are very informative Vaggie. If you hadn’t told me, I wouldn’t have known what I am up against. I appreciate the help,” Alastor’s grin became wider.
”Just doing what I can to help a friend out,” Vaggie shrugged her shoulders like it was no big deal.
“A friend, hmm? Never thought you would think of me as that,” the overlord tilted his head.
”Me either, but here I am. You’ll just have to get used to it,” the angel smiled with her hands on her hips.
”I suppose I wouldn’t mind it. Now go on and commemorate with Charlie and the others. I shall rest for the battle,” Alastor suggested.
”Yeah, okay. Have a good night Alastor.”
”You as well,” the radio loving demon retorted before vanishing into his shadow, leaving Vaggie alone.
The short woman had a silent minute to herself in the kitchen to think over the conversation between her and Alastor. Afterwards, she began leaving the room. Debating whether to get water or an alcohol drink, she made her way to the bar. Cannibals were clinking their drinks together before downing it all. Angel and Cherri were laughing together. Niffty was drying up some spills on the floor. Husk was busy serving drinks. Pentious was trying to hit on the cyclop demon, and Charlie was nowhere to be found.
Going up to Angel, Vaggie asked, “Where did Charlie go?”
“She told me she needa get somethin’ from her room then she will be coming back here,” the spider demon responded to his friend.
”Thanks,” Vaggie thanked Angel as she headed to the flight of stairs.
Jogging up, she was met with the lit up hallway. Vaggie walked down and passed many doors with some that are occupied. Turning a corner, she stopped herself when she heard sobbing. Sitting on the floor was Charlie crying and hugging her knees with her arms hiding her face. On the right side of her laid what appeared to be a shield. She was sitting in front of where Angel’s room is that had pictures taped to the door. Vaggie wasn’t sure what made Charlie upset and wanted to get to the bottom of it.
Slowly approaching the blonde, Charlie peeked over her arm to the sound of Vaggie’s footsteps. The princess noticed her girlfriend had a saddened expression when she then sat next to her. Vaggie put a hand on Charlie’s back and started to soothe her in hopes to calm her down. That’s when Charlie decided to lift her face and wiped the tears away.
”What’s wrong, hon?” Vaggie was concerned as to what caused her partner to be sad.
”I-I’m sorry Vaggie. You shouldn’t be seeing me like this, heh,” Charlie wore a sad smile.
”You don’t need to be sorry for crying. Tell me what’s wrong so I can fix it,” the ex-exorcist helped Charlie wipe the tears away.
”I don’t know if you can fix it, but I’m afraid. Afraid of what tomorrow will be like for us. I don’t want anything to happen to you or our friends. If I was able to, I would make sure nothing will harm any of you. I wished I did things differently to convince Sera sinners can be redeemed. Then, none of you would have to risk your lives fighting,” the daughter of Lucifer felt more tears developing.
”Charlie. You have nothing to worry about. I understand you’re worried for us, but we want to do this. For you and ourselves. And I know you want to change things to make the future right, but it’s all in the past now. Just how I wished I had told you about me when we first met,” Vaggie could relate to how Charlie felt.
“Do you… Do you think you can tell me about your past as an exorcist and how you fell? That is if you’re comfortable telling me,” Charlie wanted to know about Vaggie’s life as an exorcist.
“I don’t mind. You see, I was an exorcist for several years. I had to train a lot in preparation for extermination day. I was a rookie for the first year. As more years went by, Adam thought of me as one of his top exorcist for, well… killing a lot of sinners,” Vaggie stopped when she clenched onto her skirt tightly and stared down to the floor.
Charlie caught on and placed a hand over Vaggie’s to lessen the stiffness. The fallen angel turned her head slowly to the Morningstar. The blonde offered a small smile, letting Vaggie know everything is fine and to take her time.
Letting out a deep breath, Vaggie went on to say, “As much as I was supposed to enjoy my job, I didn’t. I hated every second of it. I wanted to quit badly, yet if I did, they would’ve punished me worse than when they took my eye and wings out.”
”What? They took your eye and wings?! Who did it!?” Charlie felt outraged when her horns poked through her head, eyes turned red, and her tail was out.
“I’m getting to that part. However, you need to breath, babe. I don’t want you to get worked up while I’m telling you what happened,” Vaggie grabbed both of Charlie’s hand and rubbed the top of it to relieve her anger.
Returning back to her original self, the Princess of Hell apologized, ”So sorry! What you said caught me by surprise, and I couldn’t help myself from getting heated.”
“It’s okay, hon. You have the right to be angry, but please keep cool with what I’m about to say,” the angel proposed.
“I’ll try,” Charlie nodded.
“My last day as an exorcist was when you found me. Before you had discovered me, I was in Cannibal Town with the other exorcists. I found a cannibal and chased him down. That’s when I trapped him in an alleyway. Turns out he was just a child. That’s when I didn’t have the courage to kill him, so I let him escape. That’s when Lute saw everything and came from behind me just to cut my eye out and rip my wings. Adam took my halo, and they both left me to die. And that’s when I met you,” Vaggie smiled at her partner then fell when she started tearing up.
”Oh Vaggie. You didn’t deserve that. Lute and Adam are pieces of shit. I swear they’ll get what they deserve tomorrow. And I am an asshole for not letting you explain to me earlier why you hid from me that you’re an angel. You suffered a lot and were hurting while I ignored it. I’m so sorry,” Charlie slipped a few tears.
“Charlie… you are not an asshole, and you don’t need to be sorry. You were hurt too, and that’s okay. I wanted to explain myself whenever you were ready to listen. And now look, you are listening to me. Don’t feel bad for what I’ve gone through. If I were ever in the same position as I was years ago, I would save that sinner child and go through the pain again and again just to be saved by you and help you with your dreams,” Vaggie held onto Charlie’s face and gazed at her lovingly.
The hellborn couldn’t help herself from blushing at Vaggie’s words. It meant a good amount to Charlie that her angel would go through the process an infinite number of times if it meant being with her. Charlie knows Vaggie will forever be at her side no matter what.
Because of that, Charlie pulled Vaggie’s body closer to her and connected their lips together. It was filled with tenderness and passion, sparking a fire of craving and warmth. It has been months since the two lovers had a cherished moment. All the stress and worrying prevented them from having some alone time together. Finally, they received it. Even if it’s small, it still counts to them.
Pulling back to end the kiss, Vaggie opened her eye to look at Charlie as the hellborn did the same. They couldn’t stop their heartbeats from pounding against their chest. It was the best feeling to be enamored and will forever be to the angel and demon.
”I love you so so so much, babe. You have no idea how happy you make me,” Charlie smiled hugely, staring at Vaggie with gentle eyes.
“I love you too sweetheart. And my plan is to make you happy however I can,” Vaggie said as she pushed back a strand of Charlie’s hair behind her ear.
“Thanks,” Charlie planted a kiss on her girlfriend’s cheek.
“Anytime. So… what’s the deal with the object you got right next to you, princesa?” Vaggie moved forward to look at the shiny item by the Morningstar.
Holding onto the object to show Vaggie, Charlie stated, “Oh this? It’s my dad’s shield he gifted me. He had this when he was in Heaven. He didn’t need it anymore and chose to give it to me. I want to use it tomorrow to defend myself. I also want to show it to our friends.”
”That’s pretty cool. I think they’ll like it. Let’s go downstairs and maybe share a drink together. It could loosen up our stress. Shall we?” Vaggie recommended to her girlfriend as she stood up from the floor, giving a hand to Charlie.
”We shall,” the princess gripped Vaggie’s hands, allowing her to hoist the demon from the ground.
Hand in hand with smiles on their faces, the couple went on to join their friends at the bar. After talking their feelings out, Vaggie and Charlie are feeling completed. They are determined to do their best tomorrow. For each other, the hotel, and their friends.

Chapter Text
Extermination day has arrived. Nothing like this specific day has excited Adam and Lute as much. Today was different from the other exterminations that had occurred. This time, Adam and his team of exorcists are solely focused on attacking Charlie’s hotel. Typically, the exterminators would split up and go after any sinner their eyes catch first. Now, it’s all about crushing Charlie’s dream of redeeming sinners.
The first man was tired of Lucifer’s daughter trying to convince Heaven most sinners can be redeemable. He didn’t want her to ruin the tradition of killing sinners once every year. Adam enjoyed extermination day, so why should the princess destroy it for him? Adam wouldn’t let that happen. He didn’t care if it resulted in killing the princess, even though she was one of the very few people to not kill on Heaven’s list for extermination.
“Today will be the day we will demolish those fuckers who live in the hotel! Not a single of them will survive from what we’ll bring. Think of this… if one of those bitches survives this fight, they will continue to try and ban extermination day. Is that what any of you would want?” Adam inquired furiously to his army.
”Hell no!”
”We won’t let them hurt us!”
“All of them will die no matter what!”
Smirking at their responses, the first man uttered, ”That’s what I like to hear. Now, do you all remember Vaggie?”
”The traitor!”
”She’s a defective bitch!”
”I know a lot of you are angry at her betraying us by saving a low life sinner. She’s still down there trying to bring the rainbow princess’ dreams to life. None of us will let any of that slide. If any one of you brings me her head, you will receive my salary for a whole four months. How does that sound?” Adam added in a reward.
The exorcists roared in favor of taking Vaggie’s head while Lute cried out, ”I’m definitely getting to her first!”
”You guys will fucking rock! They’re going to eat shit while we will laugh and slaughter them. Let us get ready to destroy their asses!” Adam yelled in encouragement while raising his guitar over his head.
The exterminators cheered as they followed Adam’s stance and lifted their spears up. They were psyched to do something different other than killing sinners. This time, they were going for Charlie’s hotel and Vaggie’s head. Something as this challenge brought the fun and happiness out of the angels. Nothing is going to prevent them from making their missions fail, even if it costs their life.
*****************
“Get into your positions everyone! Anytime now, they’ll arrive,” Charlie demanded her army.
”You heard the princess! Let’s move quickly,” Vaggie used her military voice to assemble everybody where they needed to be.
Following the plan Charlie went through yesterday, Vaggie went to the right side of the hotel and stuck by her girlfriend. The demons and the cannibals jogged with their weapons in preparation for the exorcists to spawn from the sky. They took their stance and waited patiently for Charlie’s words to strike. In a moment of silence, a portal developed through the sky, showcasing a portion of the exorcist army.
Flying briskly in a hurry, the angels poured out of the portal and into Hell. The blonde observed the enemies carefully as they were heading to the hotel. Once a few of the angels came close to a certain point, that’s when the hellborn made a signal to Alastor.
Prior to the gesture, Charlie commanded out, “Let’s fuck them up!!!”
It was an indication for her army to begin attacking. They let out a war cry while running after the exorcists. Lots of explosions, blasting, and gunshots were heard everywhere. Adam’s troops started raining and crashing onto the ground from severe wounds. Alastor used his black tentacle power to hold multiple spears and slash at many angels at once. The radio demon’s move caught the first man’s attention. Especially when the demon was killing more of his soldiers than those who were on the ground.
”Take care of the fuckers guarding the hotel below while I fucking kill this demon on the roof. He’s killing too many of our bitches,” Adam directed Lute as she was next to him.
”Yes, sir!” His lieutenant saluted before flapping away to her destination.
Adam cracked his knuckles and neck, stating, “Time to show these pussies what I am all about.”
Summoning his guitar-ax out of thin air, his wings took him to where Alastor stood on top of the structure. Like an asteroid ready to collide on the surface, the deer man was aware that a tentacle was sliced away by Adam. Before the first man’s weaponry made contact with Alastor, the demon dodged the blow. The floor of the rooftop cracked and spread furthermore from the guitar hitting it. Dragging the weapon, Adam held it closer to him with a smirk shown on the mask.
”Quite an entrance! You must be Adam, the first man who will die. I’m Alastor! Pleasure to be meeting you,” Alastor introduced himself, keeping the wide grin on his face and the microphone staff in hand.
”A demon who likes radio according to your stupid voice and mic. You seem like a good competitor to fight against other than Lucifer’s bimbo daughter. Show me what you got fucker!” Adam got in position to duel his opponent.
”You’ll regret those words once I’m finished with you!” Alastor transformed into a taller and scarier looking demon.
Adam didn’t feel terrified by the radio demon’s form. He was more excited to battle against someone with powers he hadn’t seen before. It would be a new experience for not only the first man but Alastor as well. Meanwhile, the group outside of the hotel is holding up so far.
Charlie is focused on avoiding attacks from the angels while Vaggie goes for the kill. Pentious is ordering his eggs to fire the cannons at the exorcists in the air. Cherri is tossing explosives mid air. Husk and Angel are watching each other’s backs by shooting bullets and tossing sharp edged cards. Niffty stabbed every angel on the ground to make sure they were fully deceased. The cannibals continued pushing through with several exorcists coming at them.
There was a major problem when a certain soldier meddled her way to the cannibals. Murdering a few that came after her, Lute flapped backward to get a better view of who’s protecting the hotel. There were sinners that didn’t seem important to kill at the moment. However, there were two women together causing Lute to see red. She found Vaggie and Charlie fending for their lives. As much as Adam’s lieutenant wanted to end the princess’s life, Vaggie’s head was wanted.
Lute didn’t care about the reward Adam offered. What mattered is finishing off what she started. That’s her main priority. Targeting Vaggie like a missile ready to launch, the lieutenant traveled swiftly to her number one enemy. She avoided bullets, bombs, cannonballs, and cards from hitting her. Her eyes stayed on Vaggie with arms out to catch her ex-sister. Vaggie was busy killing the angels that were trying to get their hands on Charlie.
It gave Lute an opportunity to tackle her at full speed. Vaggie could hear Charlie call her name while being plummeted through the wall of the hotel. Landing in the lobby, the two angels were a few feet apart from one another after crashing onto the floor. They got up at a brisk pace, standing face to face with their spears in hand. The two angels glared at each other with flames of fire igniting in their hatred-filled eyes.
”What the hell was that for!?” The one-eyed woman snarled.
”I’m here to finish what I started, and that is by getting rid of you for good,” Lute stated with pure loathing to the fallen angel.
”I’d like to see you try, bitch,” Vaggie sliced the back of her shirt to bring out her wings.
Lute was surprised she grew the feathery appendage back. Although, it didn’t matter. Both held onto their spears tightly with will power to bring each other down. Getting in their typical stance, Vaggie and Lute unfurled their wings and flew speedily at one another. Wanting to pierce the spear through Lute, Vaggie’s spear was blocked by her enemy. The lieutenant stepped back as the ex-exorcist lunged forward to strike again.
Missing the sadistic woman, Lute swung a fist, colliding onto Vaggie’s left cheek. It left a sting but nothing severe to prevent the fierce angel from using her foot and kicking underneath Lute’s chin. At the same time, Vaggie used her spear to lacerate the surface of the skin with some blood seeping out. It wasn’t deep enough to cause major damage. Adam’s second in command had plenty of time to bounce back from her foe’s multiple attempts to injure her.
With the weapon, Lute tried to jab Vaggie. Instead, sparks flew as their spears clashed, each trying to gain the upper hand in this duel. With every charge, they showed not only their skills in combat but their bravery to defend their side of the team. Vaggie, so far, was winning the fight. Carmilla’s training was paying off. Vaggie knows Lute is the second strongest behind Adam. It gives her motivation to defeat the exterminator before she goes on a rampage and kills all of her friends.
The smaller angel kept sidestepping and ducking from the spear swiping at air. Every thrust and swing frustrated Lute more and more. It got to the point where she had to take different measures. Hand to hand combat with the weaponry and kicking would work. However, it worked for a moment when Lute landed a quick kick to Vaggie’s ribs. The former exorcist was distracted by the hit that Lute shoved the angel and herself to the ground, causing Vaggie’s spear to fall out of her hands.
Vaggie was laying on the floor while Lute was on top of her, doing her best to penetrate the angelic weapon down Vaggie’s one eye. Vaggie held onto the spear securely and tried pushing the stick upward. Both women were wearing themselves out to either keep the eye or get it stabbed out. It was turning out to be difficult for Vaggie to get the spear away from her face. There wasn’t a way out of this situation. It’s only a matter of time before she becomes permanently blind.
Fortunately, her worries were washed away when a specified goat headbutted into the second commander’s back. It startled Lute and made her sway the weapon onto Dazzle, creating a deep gash on the goat’s arm. He fell to the ground and whimpered as his red blood dripped on the floor. Seeing what unfolded in front of Vaggie made her go mad. Rather than Lute pinning Vaggie down, it was now the other way around.
Vaggie slapped the spear away and flipped her enemy over to the ground as she hovered the exorcist who dared to harm a friend of hers. Not waiting for a second, the one-eyed angel slammed a fist onto Lute’s face.
”DON’T. YOU. DARE. TOUCH. HIM. OR. ANYONE. ELSE. PUTA!!!” Vaggie yelled each word after punching the exorcist.
She halted at the last word, seeing Lute bled up from her nose and mouth. She has a black eye and bruises forming all around her face. Somehow, she was still conscious.
Looking behind momentarily to check on Dazzle, Vaggie uttered to him, “Charlie sent you, didn’t she?”
The goat replied by nodding his head.
”Thanks for your help. You should get out of here and patch yourself up. Charlie and Razzle wouldn’t be too happy if something terrible were to happen to you. I’ll be okay,” the angel gave a heads up to the goat with a small smile.
Dazzle returned the smile and gave a thumbs up before flying outside of the hotel. Now it was Vaggie and Lute alone.
Turning her head back to the lieutenant, she spewed out, “As for you, do you want to beg for mercy?”
“Kiss my ass,” Lute retorted with a glowered expression.
“No thanks. Maybe Adam will. Now that it’s just you and I, I’m going to knock you unconscious. Then, it’ll be Adam’s turn unless the other gets to him first. You lost, Lute. Too bad it had to be this way.”
Vaggie raised her fist and was about to get a hit on Lute until she felt something sharp slice through the right side of her body. She cried out in pain as blood slowly leaked out. She clutched onto the injury with one hand to stop the bleeding. It was too late when a foot kicked the angel’s back, making Vaggie fall on her stomach. She tried picking herself up, but the foot prevented her from doing so. That’s when Lute got up right away to aid whoever came to her rescue.
”Perfect timing, Saph. Adam will be pleased to see Vaggie dead,” Lute smirked and reached for her spear to place near Vaggie’s neck.
The ex-exorcist couldn’t help but growl and grit her teeth at her nemesis. She was trapped underneath Saph’s foot with two angelic spears pointing at the woman.
”I’m afraid that Adam’s dead no thanks to Charlotte Morningstar,” Saph alerted the second commander.
Dropping her happy expression, Lute exclaimed, ”What?! How the fuck did she fucking kill him!?”
”A tiny demon and Lucifer’s daughter flew with the help of her pet dragon to Adam on the rooftop. Charlotte distracted him enough for the little demon woman to stab him through the back multiple times,” the exorcist explained what she witnessed.
”That fucking bitch! How dare she!” Lute clenched her hand into a fist.
“Don’t call her that!” Vaggie heavily scowled at the top ranking exterminator.
Looking down at the harmed angel, Lute angrily stared at her, touching her neck with the tip of the spear. The one-eyed former exorcist tried to steer her head away from the weapon so as to not get her throat cut. Lute didn’t like her action, so she gripped Vaggie’s hair and harshly pulled her head closer to her face.
”You know what Vaggie? I genuinely cared about Adam. He created us to become like him. Tough and fearless. Now, he’s gone. I get he’ll want us to continue carrying out our tasks. And that’s something I’m going to do in his honor by making you suffer in front of your friends and girlfriend. After that, I’m gonna kill you exactly how Adam died. I am going to make everyone ache when I’m done with you, you stupid bitch!”
”Lute, what’s the plan?” Saph asked the lieutenant.
”Get two of our women to help you capture the princess and send another two in my way while I take Vaggie outside of the hotel. I want the Morningstar to watch her little liar of a girlfriend get beaten to a pulp,” Lute commanded the soldier.
”On it!” Saph removed her foot and flew out of the hotel to complete her small mission.
”No!” Vaggie did her best to stand up right away, yet Lute stabbed the spear on her right hand.
Vaggie let out a sharp cry once more, cringing in torment. She was running out of time and losing blood at the same time. She needed to run away and get to Charlie before the exorcists do. Vaggie knows deep down she can’t. Her body is giving out from the amount of injuries she suffered thanks to the angelic steel. The only thing intact were her wings. Maybe they can help her escape at most.
Gripping the spear and yanking it out of her hand, Vaggie made a run for it, using her wings. She flapped desperately to stay as far from Lute as possible. Maneuvering inside the hotel was challenging with a slash on her body. It took a toll on her, but she was pushing through to get to Charlie. That wasn’t the case. Just like in the beginning, Lute threw herself onto Vaggie and settled on the stone pathway. The impact worsened the lesion and gave Lute an advantage.
The exterminator put Vaggie’s hands behind her back and made the woman go on her knees. At that moment, three exorcists carried the Princess of Hell down twenty feet apart from where Lute and Vaggie were. The other two exorcists went to aid Lute. Charlie was trying to wriggle her way out, not noticing what was about to occur. Vaggie was in the same position as her partner.
“Let go of me!” The blonde pleaded to the capturers.
”Charlie!” The short angel called her name.
Charlie gasped when she finally saw her girlfriend and shouted, ”Vaggie! What’s going on?”
Before she could get an answer out, Lute announced loudly for those in battle to hear.”Sinners, demons, and cannibals! Drop your weapons or we will kill both the princess and her vile girlfriend!”
Lute pointed the spear back to Vaggie’s neck as Saph did the same to Charlie who stopped moving out of fear. The loud booming and echoes of gunfire paused after listening to the last sentence. Husk, Pentious, Angel, and Cherri ceased themselves from attacking furthermore. So did the cannibals, letting their weapons fall. Niffty was still on the rooftop with Alastor as they bandaged together the radio demon’s injury on his stomach. They also listened intently to what’s going on down to the battlefield.
“Here’s what’s going to happen!! Because your precious princess killed my boss, Adam, I will do the same with Vaggie here! Better yet, she’s going to suffer a hell of a lot from me before I make her dead!! If any of you make a move on us, the princess and Vaggie will die asap and so will you!” Lute wanted everybody to be clear about her intentions.
“You can hurt me all you want, but don’t lay a hand on them,” Vaggie implored in anguish.
“As long as they cooperate, nobody gets hurt,” the second commander grinned evilly.
”Vaggie! Don’t let her do this to you, please!” Charlie begged her lover with tears on the brim of rolling down.
”She’s not bluffing, Charlie. I can’t risk her or Adam’s soldiers harming you or our friends and army any further. Everything will be—will be okay. Just, look away,” Vaggie could only comfort Charlie with words.
”I said Morningstar will watch. Watch you break and suffer. I’m ready ladies,” Lute at each of capturers who nodded in readiness.
Saph and the others pulled Charlie’s head to get a good look at Vaggie. Across from her were the exorcists that are now holding the angel tightly so she wouldn’t flee. All Vaggie could do was hold a poker face and prepare herself for the inevitable torture. The rest of the exorcist army pointed their weaponries at the demons and cannibals as to not intervene. Lute searched Vaggie to decide where to start while the one-eyed woman glanced at her.
Figuring out what to execute first, Lute impaled Vaggie’s non-injured hand with her spear. Vaggie not only could hear herself groaning in pain, but she could hear the blonde’s cries to stop the torment. The couple’s friends cowered at the sound of Charlie and Vaggie’s screams. They were dying to stop Lute from going any farther and saving the duo. The lieutenant pulled the weapon as yellow blood spilled just like the other hand did minutes ago.
Up next were Vaggie’s wings. Not giving the frail woman time to recover what was done to her limb, Lute carved a X on each appendage. It left blood to seep. The cut was half an inch deep into the skin and was the length of an arm. It carried a huge amount of pain to the former exorcist as the wings were still new and sensitive. Charlie pursued to break off the punishment by offering to leave her dreams behind. Yet, Lute ignored her request.
Handing the spear to the angel holding Vaggie down, Lute stood in front of her and began throwing punches to the face as a form of payback. Vaggie grunted and groaned at the nonstop hits, her nose broken, cheeks swelling, and golden liquid flowing from her nostrils.
Lute paused when she heard Lucifer’s daughter shouted, “S-Stop it, Lute!!! She doesn’t deserve this!”
Turning her head to the princess who looked like a sobbing mess, she said, “Why? Isn’t this what you wanted? Your little girlfriend lied to you about who she is, so she definitely deserves being beaten. I’m doing you and I a solid favor.”
“Leave her the fuck alone!!” Charlie screeched as loud as she could.
”Not a fucking chance!!!” Out of anger, Lute snatched her spear back and plummeted into Vaggie’s left side of her stomach.
The fallen angel’s eye widened as no sound came out of her mouth. Only blood was coughed out considering her body was giving out. Vaggie felt numb and limp, the strength and energy leaving her anatomy. Her head hung low, sensing throbbing and stinging agony above her neck. One more strike, and she’ll be dead. Vaggie desperately tried to keep herself awake, but it was becoming difficult to do so.
After the stab to Vaggie’s hip, it created the friends of Charlie and Vaggie to become very worried and even infuriated to the point they were yelling at Lute. The reaction is what the highest ranking soldier wanted. It would turn out to be way better once she murders their friend. Tilting Vaggie’s head back, Lute aimed the angelic weapon near the only eyeball Vaggie owns. Viewing Lute’s action caused an uproar. The demons and cannibals were telling their enemy to stop. Charlie unleashed her demon form and tried releasing herself from the exorcists’ grasp.
Nothing was getting through the lieutenant’s head. What mattered to her was making Vaggie blind. She would be happy if it were to kill her from blood loss. All the injured angel could do was stare for a couple of seconds at the tip of the spear. Slowly but surely, Vaggie was shutting her eye, hoping that her friends and Charlie would be okay without her. Thinking about the last memory of the gang being happy together as a whole yesterday, Vaggie’s body became heavy, and everything went black.

Chapter Text
Seeing Vaggie’s bloodied body slump into the hands of the exorcists holding her created an eruption. Her friends didn’t care what would happen to them if it meant killing the exterminators trying to hold them hostage. As for Charlie, watching her girlfriend being slowly tortured by Lute and her angelic spear struck a lot of intense emotions. The lieutenant’s threats no longer mattered to Charlie or her friends.
Releasing herself from the three angels that captured her, she sped off to stop Lute before the spear was inserted in Vaggie’s eye. Everything felt like it was going in slow motion. Saph and the others were already throwing their weapons at the hellborn to kill her. Lute was too focused on finishing the job of murdering her enemy. Golden blood dripped from Vaggie, losing an abundance that will result in her death from the angelic steel puncturing the body.
The Morningstar put out a hand to get to Lute. Doing so, she didn’t know that three spears were thrown to aim at her back. They were inching dangerously close that Saph knew Charlie won’t get to the fallen angel in no time. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. Like the speed of light, a figure swooped down to claim Charlie in their arms. The weapons did not hit the princess and nearly struck Lute who stopped what she was doing to see what was going on.
Turning around, she saw that Charlie was gone and not in the hands of her fellow sisters. She searched for the woman while glancing at Adam’s army fighting back against the sinners once again.
”Where the hell is she?!” Lute asked Saph and the others furiously.
Before any of them could answer, all three of the angels went crashing through the wall of the hotel by the person who Charlie away. Lute became confused and outraged as she couldn’t get a glimpse at the quick individual to figure out who it may be. All of a sudden, a trident pierced Lute’s upper arm in a fast motion and was ripped off. During the action, someone snatched Vaggie away from the exorcists just how Charlie was saved.
Lute grunted in pain and held onto her shoulder missing the arm when she finally was capable of eyeing down the person responsible for taking the two hostages. Two pairs of glowy, red eyes filled with pure loathing glared at the second commander. The first pair belonged to Charlie who held a sharp trident she spawned in hand. Her tail maneuvered in every direction from the wrath bubbling inside. Her horns and claws were out, and her facial expression showed she wanted to tear the lieutenant apart. Who she held onto was her father. The King of Hell, Lucifer, was carrying both Vaggie and Charlie.
His six wings were flapping to keep himself and the couple above ground. A flame was raging above his head between his long horns, indicating the anger he felt. Lucifer clenched his teeth at the woman who was bold enough to not only try and hurt his daughter but his future daughter-in-law.
In a demonic voice, the king’s tone boomed, ”You think you can break the rules by trying to cause harm to my daughter?! On top of that, you dare torture Charlie’s girlfriend!?! I will not tolerate your actions!”
Setting Charlie to the ground, he passed Vaggie to his daughter who laid the unconscious woman down with Vaggie’s head resting on Charlie’s lap.
”I’ll make this quick,” Lucifer stated with his eyes remaining on Lute.
Charlie had nothing to say and was more concerned about her lover. Like a predator ready to attack its prey, the Morningstar had fire in his hands and went straight for the enemies that held Vaggie down. Using his power, he shot a blast of fire at the capturers who turned into ashes, leaving Lute vulnerable. The one-armed soldier knew she wouldn’t win this fight against the King of Hell. Her backup plan would be to flee, and that she did try.
Utilizing the feathery appendages, she flung upward as swiftly as possible. Her body was hurting everywhere yet ignored the pain to get away from Lucifer. Little did she know, he is right behind her. Grabbing Lute’s wings, the fallen angel tore them off, reminding the woman how she took Vaggie’s. The pain was unbearable to Lute and what made it worse was Lucifer gripping her throat tightly. He reached above the commander’s head where her halo sat. Taking it by force, he crushed it. Lute felt a painful pounding wrapped around her head.
“You made Vaggie suffer, and now I did the same to you. So let’s get one thing straight. NEVER FUCK WITH MY FAMILY EVER AGAIN!” Lucifer pulled the exorcist closer to him.
”I h-hope… s-she dies,” Lute spat out with blood falling from her mouth.
”I’ll make sure that won’t happen,” Lucifer squeezed her throat harder.
Those were the last words Lute heard before something went through her stomach. More blood splattered everywhere as a result of Lucifer’s claws impaling her. Adam’s lieutenant let out a sharp gasp while her eyes widened at the unexpected attack. Because she didn’t have wings, Lucifer let go of Lute, making her drop to the ground. The King of Hell then stared at his bloodied hands before turning it into a fist. He had to kill her as punishment to serve justice for Vaggie. As Adam once said, Fair is fair, an eye for an eye.
Over to Charlie, she was doing her best to stop her partner from bleeding that Lute generated with her spear. Vaggie wasn’t moving as the blonde gently shook her to get her to open her eye while talking to the battered woman.
“Vaggie please! You need to wake up!” Charlie begged the angel as tears were already flowing.
The angel didn’t respond nor opened her eye. A pool of her golden blood made it to the ground. The hellborn took Vaggie’s hand to examine her pulse on the wrist. From her analysis, it was very faint and slow. Soon, Vaggie will go flatline. After checking her pulse, Lucifer landed beside his daughter once he got rid of Lute.
In a panicked voice, Charlie pleaded, “Dad! Can you heal her or give her some of your blood?! She’s going to die, and I don’t know what to do with myself if she leaves me! Please dad!”
“I-I… I can’t,” Lucifer answered with a sorrowed expression, looking at Charlie and Vaggie.
“What do you mean you can’t?! Vaggie never deserved this! You have to help her!” Charlie was feeling angry and was running out of time to save her girlfriend.
”I don’t have the power to heal her, and our blood type is different. Mine is very rare while Vaggie’s is common, and we don’t have the proper equipment to transfer blood into her body. There is—there is nothing I can do. I’m so, so sorry, sweetheart. I really am,” the king planted a hand on Charlie’s shoulder to comfort her.
He couldn’t stand it when his only child cried aloud. All he could do was provide assurance as the blonde hugged Vaggie close to her as if she would disappear. It broke his heart that there weren’t many solutions to help Vaggie stay alive. Charlie won’t have anybody by her side as loyal, loving, and protective like the one-eyed angel is. The princess wished she hadn’t ignored the angel after the reveal. If only she allowed Vaggie to explain and understand her reasonings. Thinking those thoughts broke her.
The battle was nearing its end when some of the exorcists were heading back to the portal they came from. It was almost times up for them. Most of the demons and cannibals were catching a bit of a break. Alastor and Niffty teleported in front of the building, the radio demon nearly good as new with his gash. They found Lucifer and Charlie together so they carefully and steadily made their way over. Husk, Sir Pentious, Angel, and Cherri Bomb were using less of their weapons to fight the enemies. Some had minor wounds, but they were mostly concerned about Vaggie.
More and more of the exterminators retreated back to Heaven without looking back. Several of them would stop in the middle of a fight and leave. The rest would be killed. It led the gang of demons sprinting to Lucifer, Charlie, and Vaggie as the cannibals tried scaring off the angels to fly away. Alastor and Niffty arrived at the same time.
”Is Vaggie okay?” Husk worriedly asked.
“Were any of you able to kill Lute?” Angel angrily questioned the king and princess.
”Will Vagatha survive?” Pentious hoped they would respond with a yes.
”How’s her condition?” Cherri inquired the father and daughter.
Charlie couldn’t get a response out for her friends so Lucifer clarified with teary eyes, “Lute is dead. I made sure of it. As for Vaggie, s-she won’t make it. She lost a lot of blood. I can’t heal her or give her my blood.”
Listening to the devastating news made everyone’s heart drop. Seeing Vaggie in Charlie’s arms without any movement made the demons want to go rogue knowing they’ll lose the angel they’ve grown accustomed to. They were suffering and grieving, but not as bad as Charlie was. She weeped in silence and clenched to Vaggie for dear life. If anyone were to pry her off from the former exorcist, it would be impossible. Hell may have won this war, but lost someone important.
The demons surrounded Charlie and Vaggie to help relieve the pain every one of them were going through. Without knowing what is happening around them, the exorcists are no longer in Hell. They’ve went back to their home, defeated and hurt. However, the portal was still open. The cannibals saw and were puzzled as to why it hadn’t vanished. Their questions were answered when a tall figure entered the portal. The flesh eaters decided to scream at the unknown individual, causing the demon’s special moment to end after hearing the cannibals.
”W-what’s going on?” Angel turned his head to the army.
”The portal! Look!” The snake demon pointed at it.
Everybody, including Charlie, eyed the entrance between Heaven and Hell. Someone flew down and was approaching the group of demons gracefully. Lucifer and Charlie recognized who the person was. The powerful seraphim, Sera. Her feet touched the ground and began walking to the crew. Lucifer made two fists, enraged for everything that occurred today. Charlie gritted her teeth out of frustration because she believes the seraphim carries some fault for what Vaggie experienced today and in her past.
”What makes you think you can just waltz in Hell uninvited!? I have a hell of a lot to say to you, Sera! Adam had the nerve to hurt my daughter! His second commander took my daughter and her girlfriend hostage then went ahead and tortured Vaggie to death!!! You really think I will be okay with all of the rules broken that you and I agreed on?!” Lucifer unleashed his demonic form to the tall angel.
Remaining calm, Sera said, “I understand Adam and Lute disobeyed orders given to them. I never had intentions for the commanders to harm any hellborn of their choosing. It seems they were punished as the first man and Lute are no longer with us.”
”You’re damn right about that! So why the hell are you here?!” The King of Hell grew impatient.
”An exorcist explained what she witnessed throughout the battle. That included your daughter being harmed by Adam and Vaggie tortured by Lure. I came down to see the damages done by them. From what I’m viewing, I want to volunteer and aid you as an apology for today’s event.”
”Oh, now you want to help us? With what exactly?” Lucifer rolled his eyes.
”I can restore Vaggie and your comrades to full health. In addition, I’ll restore the hotel however your daughter sees fit,” Sera offered help.
Without hesitation, Charlie quiered, “You would do that?”
”Yes. After the meeting in court, you and Vaggie were humiliated. Adam and Lute were in the wrong to ridicule you both. As for the hotel, you have the right to believe in redeeming souls down here. Your dream shouldn’t be taken away by anyone who doesn’t accept your opinion or decisions. What I offered is the least I could do,” the high seraphim sighed at the memory of that in court.
“Thank you, Sera! You don’t know how much Vaggie means to me. She fought her very best to save us. If it weren’t for her, we wouldn’t be here. She deserves to be standing alive like the rest of us,” Charlie stood up with Vaggie in her arms and moved the angel towards Sera to heal her.
”Of course,” standing over Vaggie’s body, Sera hovered her right hand above the stomach.
A gold light appeared and grew bigger by spreading on Vaggie’s injuries. It inserted in the wounds and started closing the skin. The tentacle-like power surrounded the demons and began healing them as well. The whole thing lasted for a minute until the magic steadily disappeared. The punctures on both sides of Vaggie’s hips were no longer open or bleeding. Her wings didn’t have the X anymore, and her face is free from bruises and broken bones. She was good as new. So were the others.
Now, the demons waited for Vaggie to wake up. They hoped Sera’s magic worked enough to get Vaggie up and flying. Charlie counted each second passing by to see how long it’ll take for her partner to wake up. Thirty-seven seconds in total is what it took. Vaggie began stirring in Charlie’s arms. Her face scrunched up then slowly opened her eye. The first person she saw was the princess crying with a smile on her face.
Vaggie broke the silence saying, “Charlie?”
”Hey, Vaggie. Thought I lost you there,” the blonde soothingly greeted the woman with a small chuckle.
Before Vaggie could get another word out, Charlie hugged her very tight. Their friends cheered considering the fallen angel is okay. They all went to embrace the couple into a group hug. Sera watched them become joyful and tear up. It made the seraphim feel fond for the sinners. They weren’t like any other souls down in Hell. They’re special, and Sera senses Charlie is capable of redeeming these sinners. After all, they cared and were worried about Vaggie, an angel and ex-exorcist.
”What happened?” Vaggie asked the gang for clarification.
”Lute knocked you out cold. I swooped by to get Charlie away from three angelic spears heading to pierce her back. Then, I came to snag you away from Lute before she did any more damage to you. I killed Lute for her crimes, and Sera saved you from death. Now we are all here happy to see you alive kiddo,” Lucifer explicated to the small angel.
Hearing Sera’s name, Vaggie perked her head up to see the high seraphim in her view. Charlie went ahead and planted Vaggie to the ground so she could stand instead of being held.
”You saved me?” Vaggie softened her expression to the tall angel.
”I healed you fully so as to not perish. I did it to apologize for what was said in court between the first man and Lute. I pray it’s enough to forgive me for allowing those two troublemakers to cause a lot of agony during the battle,” Sera made it clear.
”Well, you gave me another chance to live again. I’m positive Charlie and my friends would never forgive you or Heaven if I died right then and there,” Vaggie grinned back at the group who agreed with she what said.
“I see. In that case, Princess Charlotte Morningstar. It’s time I repair your hotel to something newer. Any requests?” The seraphim was ready to get to work with her powers.
”Uhh, I have no clue. I mean… I can’t do this alone. I have a whole team with me that can give me ideas to reconstruct the hotel. It’s their home too. So I want them to collaborate their ideas with mine. What do you think guys?” Charlie gazed at her comrades.
”If you insist, hon. We are here to help you with whatever you need. Right guys?” Vaggie supported her idea.
“Hell yeah! Let’s do this together,” Cherri was excited.
“We’re right behind ya,” Angel approved with a beam.
”I can help pitch in a few ideas,” Alastor stood high and tall.
“Count us in, princess,” Husk replied for himself, Niffty, and Sir Pentious.
”Dad?” The hellborn stared back at her father.
Gently smiling at his daughter, Lucifer responded, “You know I will always help in any way I can to make your dreams come true. And Vaggie here feels the same.”
”Exactly. It’s time we redeem some sinners. As a family,” Vaggie huddled everyone together.
Feeling emotional, Charlie cried out, “Thanks guys! This means a lot to me. Whatever ideas any of you have in mind, I’ll be happy with. So go crazy.”
”Let’s begin the process,” Sera nodded in readiness.
———————————
A whole hour is what it took to rebuild the hotel. To everybody’s eyes, it looked ten times better and more eye-catching than the original. With Sera’s magic and Lucifer also aiding the seraphim, the work was done fairly quickly. The cannibals even took some of the work off the demons’ shoulders. As the crew couldn’t glance away from their new home, it was time for Sera to go back to Heaven. Of course, Vaggie and Charlie thanked her over and over for all the help she offered. The seraphim didn’t mind, and there was something important needed to say to the couple.
“Before I take my leave, there’s one thing I must share. Regarding extermination day, it may be postponed or diminished for good. My team and I must investigate today’s extermination to see if we rule in favor of banning the event. A lot of crimes were committed, and rules were broken from the exorcist army. I’ll keep in touch with Lucifer over this ordeal.”
“That’s great news! Not the crimes being committed and all of that. I meant extermination being gone for good,” Charlie beamed genuinely.
”I understand what you are saying. Until then, farewell Morningstar and Vaggie. Take care,” Sera slightly bowed at the two women.
”You too,” Vaggie retorted back.
”Tell Emily I said ‘hi’ for me please,” Charlie had a tiny favor for Sera to do.
”I will,” the seraphim lifted the corner of her lips before turning away.
She stretched her large wings and flapped herself to the portal. Going through it, she looked at Hell once more then closed the entrance completely. With a sigh of relief, Charlie felt complete. So did Vaggie. They won’t have so much to stress or worry about. Nothing is a burden to them or Hell altogether. The couple can finally feel at peace.
“Since the hotel is back in business, what’s the next step?” Vaggie wrapped an arm around Charlie’s waist and held her close.
The princess did the same and answered, “We need to recruit more sinners. Then it’s back to redeeming them. It’ll take baby steps to change their behavior and actions. However, there’s plenty of resources to give the souls the help they need. Those resources are us.”
”Smart girl. You have us to rely on instead of taking all the weight for yourself,” Vaggie smirked at her lover.
”I decided I need some changes in my life too. You helped me realize that, even if it wasn’t intentional. I appreciate every single thing you’ve done for me, babe,” Charlie went to hold both of Vaggie’s hands.
Smiling lovingly at the blonde, the angel uttered, “Whatever you need, I’m here, sweetie. I love you, more than anything.”
”I love you too. More than anything,” Charlie smiled and closed the gap to give Vaggie a sweet and tender kiss, moving onto the next chapter of their lives.
Notes:
THE END and the last chapter!!! Thank you to those who read my story. I know it’s not a whole bunch of chapters. But to make it up, I have another story coming out that will be way longer than this story. It is called Guardian Angel. It is about young Vaggie learning what it’s like to be an exorcist and the choices she will make, resulting in her being in Hell. It will include young Charlie and her parents. It has a completely different storyline. Chaggie will definitely be in the story, so stay tuned for it. Until then, deuces!
