Chapter Text

Kagami was furious, her hands trembling with a mix of rage and frustration. Her eyes narrow as she glares at her husband , Felix standing across from her. The tension in the room was palpable, each word crackling like static between them.
Kagami's voice quivered slightly as spoke.

"I can't believe you, Felix. This is our son, and you act like he's a burden!"

Felix's response was sharp and biting.

"A burden? No, he's more of a disappointment. I had hoped that he would turn out differently, but I see nothing more than a weakling in him."

Kagami's anger flared even fiercer, her words spitting out.

"Weakling?! How can you say that about your own son?"

Felix sneers, his expression cold and detached.

"He's soft, just like you. Always crying, always needy. I wanted to raise him to be strong, but you coddled him too much."

Kagami's hands clenched into fists at her sides, her voice rising in volume and intensity.

"Coddled? He's a baby, Felix! He needs love and support, not coldness and harshness!!"

Felix's jaw tightens as he glares back at her.

"Love and support? That's how you raise a weakling, Kagami. Strength doesn't come from being pampered, it comes from being pushed. And if he's going to be any worth anything, he needs to be pushed hard."

Kagami's voice quivers with anger and hurt.

"You're his father, not his drill sergeant. He needs your love and guidance, not just discipline!"

Kagami let out a small gasp, her hand instinctively going up to her cheek where Felix had slapped her. Her eyes were filled with a mix of anger and disbelief as she glared at Félix.

"How dare you lay a hand on me! I'm going to Marinette and Adrien's. I can't stay here with you any longer."

With that, she turned on her heel and stormed out of the room, the sound of the front door slamming echoing through the house.

Felix stood there, a mixture of anger and regret on his face. He knew he'd gone too far, but his stubborn pride wouldn't let him admit it. He muttered under his breath.

"Go then. See if I care."

As Kagami arrived at Marinette and Adrien's house, the sounds of her baby's loud cries filled the air. She carefully unbuckled him from his car seat, picking him up in her arms to soothe him.

She cradled him gently against her chest, trying her best to calm him down. The baby's tiny face was red and scrunched up with distress. Kagami's heart ached at the sound of his cries, and she quickly made her way to the front door and knocked urgently.

Kagami entered the house, still trying to calm her baby's cries. Seeing the worried look on Marinette's face, she couldn't hold it in any longer, and tears started streaming down her face.

"It's Felix," she managed to say through choked sobs. "We had a horrible argument, and he hit me... I had to leave. I didn't know where else to go."

Marinette's eyes widened in shock and disbelief as Kagami spoke, her heart sinking at the news. She guided Kagami to the living room, gesturing for her to take a seat on the couch.

"Oh Kagami... I'm so sorry. That's awful. But you did the right thing coming here."

Marinette perched on the edge of the coffee table, looking at Kagami with concern.

Kagami sat down, still cradling her baby against her chest. The baby's cries had subsided slightly, but he was still fussing and uncomfortable. Kagami tried her best to soothe him, gently rocking him and speaking softly to him.

"Thank you for letting me stay here," she said, her voice shaky with unshed tears. "I just didn't know where else to go. I can't go back to Felix..."

Marinette nodded sympathetically, her eyes filled with understanding.

"You're doing the right thing, Kagami. Cutting off contact with Félix is the best choice right now. You and your son need to focus on yourselves, and being around him isn't healthy for either of you."

Kagami swallowed hard, nodding slowly in agreement as she rocked her baby gently. She knew Marinette was right, but it didn't make the decision any easier.

"It's just... it's so hard, you know? He's the father of my baby, and we have a history together. It's not as easy as just cutting him out of our lives."

Marinette reached out and placed a comforting hand on Kagami's shoulder.

"You're not alone in this, Kagami. Adrien and I will be here to support you and your baby, no matter what. We can help you raise him."

Marinette's kind words hit Kagami like a wave of relief. She looked at Marinette with gratitude, her eyes misty.

"Thank you... I can't tell you how much that means to me. I don't know what I would do without you two."
