Chapter 1: Gotta love torture pt 1

Chapter Text

Gore was an unfortunate part of being a hero.

Blood and viscera were common more often than not. While some places like Metropolis and Central had more cartoon like villains, places like Gotham still existed. Most of the League assumed everyone else had experienced some level of brutality in being a hero whether it be on themselves or another person. All of them had experienced death and destruction.

No one liked to think about it though. About what each person had seen or had experienced.

Except now, when on a League sanctioned mission including Batman, Green Lantern, The Flash, and Wonder Woman, Wally managed to get kidnapped...

He hadnt meant to get caught, who ever does? But that didn’t matter. Not as the Flash hung, chained by his arms pulled high above his head, shoulders dislocated from the position, as the Villain of the day strode about holding a fairly large and alien looking syringe.

Wally West was not an angry individual. He had his fathers temper, sure, but he was very good at controlling it. He had his methods of keeping himself calm, keeping himself from hurting anyone in a moment of anger. Usually his response was to run it off. He couldn't run it off now, couldn’t force his metabolism to out speed whatever drug that made his veins feel like fire and the speed force only a faint whisper in the back of his subconsciousness. What Wally could do is by time.

He didn’t remember the Villain’s name, but he could tell that this one was a Gotham native by the accent alone. Probably from Crime Alley of the Bowery. He had been in worse pain than this, could handle more. He saw the camera sitting on a windowsill. Figuring it was recording, he grinned towards it with blood covered teeth and interrupted the man’s maniacal monologuing.

“You think putting me to death by your jabbering is the right way to go? I mean come on dude, im The Flash! I have the attention span of a 5 year old and you expect me to retain anything other than that you are a self centered little shit with a god complex and a bad childhood? You really must be an idiot then.”

The man, a blur of greens and greys and browns past the red of the blood dripping from the crown of his head, moved forward. The syringe was now pointed at Wally’s throat, the tip of the needle pressing right under his Adams apple. Wally didn't bother to listen to what the man was about to threaten.

“Look man I get Gotham is fucked up. But does it look like I really care? You think this place is bad, my own dad probably beat me harder than any of you Gothamites ever could. A needle to the throat? How original. You know how many people have tried and failed to shut up the flash?”

Wally didn’t wait. He may not have his speed right now but he had his skills. He didn’t have leg restraints on, the man having been too cocky in his drug to expect any coordination. That much was true, but Wally had been worse. He had a will stronger than Hal fucking Jordan so when he wanted to move? He moved. Using his upper arm strength, Wally pulled himself up like a curl up. The needle went in somewhere but he didnt care, powerful legs now wrapped tightly around the villain's throat in a move Dick had taught him. Training with the Bats had been one of the best decisions he had made, even if it was only originally to stare at his boyfriend’s ass.

It was at this moment that the other members of the mission burst into the dark room joined by said boyfriend to see a bloodied smiling Flash choking a man out with his thighs.

He dropped the man, body finally sagging again and out of breath as Nightwing rushed to his side.

“Hey guys, what took you so long?”

His head swam and voice felt funny as he looked down and- oh. The needle was in his chest in a very heart like spot. Just great.

“Awe man I don’ wanna have another heart attack-”

His eyes closed to his boyfriends worried tapping at his cheeks in an attempt to keep him awake, but now that he was in safe hands? Flash was limp and out like a light.
