Chapter Text

Sabrina returned to the gathering with Chloe and Summer in tow. Marinette, Adrien, and the others—alongside their children—welcomed Sabrina back and greeted Chloe and Summer warmly. At first, there was some tension; several of the Alumni, including Juleka, Kim, and Max, still harbored lingering resentment toward her.

“H-hi,” Chloe greeted shyly, her voice faltering. “Nice to see you all again.”

Chloe bowed her head in shame. The memories of the Queen Mayor debacle still haunted her, shattering any remaining trust between her and Adrien, Marinette, Alya, and the others. She stood awkwardly, feeling the weight of their judgment. Marinette stepped forward, her expression softening as she approached Chloe.

“I’m sorry,” Marinette said gently. “I should’ve had more faith in you.”

Chloe’s eyes widened in surprise. “What?” she whispered, unsure if she had heard correctly.

“I mean it,” Marinette continued. “I saw potential in you years ago. I was too quick to lose hope when things went wrong. But people can change. And I think you’ve tried to.”

Before Chloe could reply, Adrien joined Marinette. “She’s right,” he added. “What happened before was painful, but it doesn’t define you forever.”

The atmosphere grew lighter as Marinette’s words set the tone for reconciliation. Alya nodded in agreement, and Sabrina smiled faintly, grateful for the moment of understanding.

But just as the group began to relax, Summer, Chloe’s young daughter, tugged at Marinette’s sleeve. “Excuse me,” Summer said timidly. “Can Mama play with us? She promised to teach me how to make friends.”

Summer’s innocent request broke the tension entirely. Marinette glanced at Chloe, then back at Summer, and smiled. “Of course.”

Chloe, encouraged by the gesture, finally lifted her head. This was her chance—not just to rebuild trust but to start anew.

Of course, Alex would've loved to see this, lmao.

Notes:

I'm thinking of writing something relating to Kagami's grandfather and his link to a Super-Battleship.
