Chapter 1: bloody jinx
Notes:
btw, jinx says slurs.
tw! lots of mentions of blood.🩸
Chapter Text
powder had always been intelligent, and a bit ruthless in the way she spoke but ultimately harmless.
jinx, jinx was extraordinary. once she shut out powder, threw her into the depths of her own mind and locked the hatchet, all her traits were gone. she was no longer sentimental, or scared and jittering as powder had been.
only someone special could simply separate their mind like that, of course she had help, if powder hadn't gone through all of what she went through she wouldn't have had a reason to do all that.
but she still did it, and it was impressive.
she was impressive, and everyone knew it. silco was delighted to have her in his palm, he never wished to be a father but jinx was more than he could have ever imagined. she was a force in battle, and an ever better strategist. he began to love her, everything about her from her mind to her face became what he lived for.
she was everything he fought for because she was the perfect example of zaun, brilliant, beautiful but rough. so rough, she could've grown to be a diamond and lived a good life, but instead simply for being born in the sump she was worthless.
that's exactly what zaun was.
a gem, under all the soot and grime of piltovers boot on their neck.
silco took a gamble for the shimmer surgery, she might live with it but that kind of shimmer was still experimental. there was what he knew, and what he didn't. he knew normal shimmer could heal a stab wound in a small dose, but it could make you into a monster in a bigger dose. he knew he didn't want that—but god damnit, he wanted her to live.
and she did, warped, and completely fucked but she was alive.
somehow, her body metabolized the shimmer, and it extracted only what she needed from the shimmer.
now, presently, jinx has nuked the council, and everything is going to shit.
she found her way topside, undetected but unafraid of getting caught. or shot.
Jinx had just killed silco, then she nuked piltover. her life was as good as over if she stayed here, but she couldn't imagine anything to do with herself. her one purpose, was dead.
jinx was dead, or would be as soon as someone spotted her.
so she wandered, the chaos she created with the deaths in the council bought some time, everyone was too scattered to notice she was amongst them.
she was in the council room—or what was left of it.
there was rubble, ash and blood. lots of blood, all over. she smiled, she was proud of what she'd done.
these people deserved it, and they'd done exactly as she did, for years, they just did it behind the enforcers who completed the dirty work. it's all a game, cat and mouse. she ended the game they started, for that she felt no regrets.
she might've killed the main oppressors in piltover, but jinx didn't escape unscathed. she had figured out the hexgem—but that time was the first time she had actually used it.
she understood that the hexgem was basically an unlimited power source, never ending current of energy, and runes were their language. commands.
what she didn't know, was the commands could be willed to bend by the emotions of the weilder. it's the type of thing you find out through trial and error.
the blast had been bigger because of her heightened emotions, and the destruction was more than she planned—even at the base.
when she pulled the trigger she was affected by the blast as well, and the pain was immediate but at that moment, pain was welcome. she wanted to feel it.
when she came to, her hands that held up fishbones were peeled from her fingertips to her wrists. she was bloody, and her fingernails were obliterated.
although she never cared about her appearance, she was quite sad about losing her nails.
aside from her missing flesh, she was fine mostly. she would heal, and she felt a light buzz in her body at all times. she assumed it was from the shimmer she now had in her body, there were still so many things she had to figure out.
she'd seen a trail of blood, not hers, that had a strange aura.
jinx felt compelled to follow it, to search for its owner.
she walked forward slowly, her braids swaying softy under her hood.
she followed the aura she felt and found a group of people, gathered around and trying to—revive someone? though they seemed to be giving up.
jinx approached, hood down and no hesitation.
her bloody hand reached out and touched the man spread out on the table, something akin to a shock went through her.
her blood smudged onto the man, and everyone who didn't notice her before finally did.
they yanked her hood down, her infamous face revealed. for a moment they were still, shocked and processing.
but jinx was getting bored, she didn't know what compelled her to touch that man or reveal herself but it was done, and if they were gonna kill her she'd actually wish they'd get fucking jiffy with it.
"hiya." she said with a grin, she was tackled and restrained right after, placing handcuffs on her bare flesh around her wrist. she didn't wince, she didn't care. pain was welcome.
she was tied, on the floor with someone's hand on her head, keeping her down.
she heard footsteps, and a voice—cupcake.
that fucking piltie bitch.
"cupcake, how are ya?"
caitlyn couldn't see her facial expression from being face down, but she could imagine it, and that made her angry.
"shut up, you don't deserve to speak." caitlyn approached jinx and grabbed her braids, yanking her head up. she showed no reaction.
"do you have any idea what you did?" for how she was feeling inside, caitlyn managed to keep a calm voice.
"i killed my oppressors?" a cheeky shit eating grin, caitlyn was furious.
"my mother was there. you killed my mother!" she yanked on jinx's braids again.
"guess we're even? that's 2 for 1, your mother killed my parents with her enforcers. both of em, i didn't kill your dad too did i?" she was half serious, jinx didn't know exactly how many or who her victims were.
her response had caitlyn seething, my mothers death is some joke to her?
"this is serious. you will be put to death for the murder of three councilors in a terrorist attack."
"just three?" jinx asked in disbelief, she could've sworn the blast was enough to kill them all. "terrorist? i think im more of a...vigilante." caitlyn slapped her, hard.
"you're a cold blooded killer, you will only be remembered that way."
"you hit like a bitch, you know." she said before lifting her face and spitting a mix of saliva and blood on caitlyn's feet.
there was a commotion behind them, and caitlyn turned to see what the ruckus was about.
"viktor! oh my god!" jayce was yelling, he grabbed viktor and hugged him roughly.
"jayce? what happened? what are you doing?" viktor questioned, his prior—erm, dead body was completely gone. he was no longer pale as a corpse and the bruises he'd previously sported were gone too. he looked better than before the explosion, and jayce's brain began working.
what had happened? viktor was clearly just dead, his eyes landed on the red patch of blood on viktors leg, jinx had left it there.
his eyes widened, realization struck.
"caitlyn stop!" he hurriedly announced, caitlyn was displeased but turned her head to hear him out anyways.
"jinx just brought viktor back from the dead." he was usually better with words, but time was tight snd if he was correct then he couldn't let anyone take jinx away.
"what?" she asked mostly out of courtesy, she was so pissed off she didn't care if jinx was janna herself, nothing would stop her from getting her revenge.
"viktor was just dead! jinx touched him and now he's alive, if jinx can heal people, we can't kill her. somebody bring salo!" he rambled on, stringing out orders. salo was brought shortly, and doctors started checking on viktors condition.
everyone was put off, viktor was clearly just dead a moment ago.
salo was brought in a wheelchair, he was fading in and out of consciousness since the explosion.
caitlyn out of curiosity dragged jinx to salo.
jinx did her part, she was also wondering about this.
she felt an aura from viktor, and her entire body couldn't help but approach him and touch him. she didn't feel the same with salo, she didn't want to touch him, no strange pull or aura either.
even so, she touched his head with her palm, bloody and all.
her blood seemed to glow for a second, before it was gone.
it only took about ten minutes, salo woke up and his legs were fine. he didn't need the wheelchair, he grabbed jinx's waist in a tight hug for having healed him, he was very emotional.
then the doctors checking on viktor announced that not only was viktor clearly alive, he was also in perfect health.
even viktor didn't believe that, he jumped off the table and to a reflective surface on the wall, so hurried and desperate to see himself that he overlooked that he jumped off and damn near sprinted without any trouble. something he'd never done in his life.
he looked healthy in his reflection.
what the fuck was happening?
everyone was thinking the same thing, and everyone was looking at jinx.
jinx was unhappy, she kind of looked forward to dying.
now she was gonna be stuck here, because they found her useful.
caitlyn's gears were turning in her head, jinx had brought viktor back from the dead just now. could she bring back her mother?
they went and locked jinx up in a cell, hooked up to monitors and a single handcuff between her hand and a handle bar.
she could easily break it, turn it into a weapon or something like that, but what was the point?
she stayed like that; locked up, tied up and hooked up for a long time. there were no windows or clocks, jinx had no idea what time it was or how many days had passed.
her hands healed. her fingernails grew back.
meanwhile caitlyn, wanted to use jinx's blood to bring her mother back from the dead, but she didn't want to lose to jinx. so instead of asking her to help, she would force her to help. after experimenting a bit with other people—people who had terminal illnesses or were recently injured—they found out at long as jinx's blood touched it, it would be healed. they had scientists studying her blood already, and in the meantime she would revive her mom using the blood they gathered already.
vi was present, and caitlyn stood next to her mothers corpse.
she injected the blood into her mothers corpse, her heart thumping with excitement and joy.
her happiness was crushed after waiting for 30 minutes only for her mother to lay still. no movement, no breaths.
still dead.
caitlyn marched into jinx's cell.
jinx was very happy to see caitlyn, as always.
"faggot."
"jinx. heal my mother." caitlyn reasoned with herself that she was still not asking for help; she was commanding it.
"what's wrong with her?"
caitlyn gulped, "she's dead, you blew her up."
"can't help."
"why not?! it's your fault she's dead!"
"you said it yourself. can't do anything about it if she's already dead." jinx explained. it had been a while already and jinx gained a grasp on her weird random power, she never asked or did anything to gain any power—yet she always ended up with it somehow. life was funny that way, all she ever did was cause destruction and kill and now due to some sick joke, she was actually granted the power to heal.
jinx had gotten to know her power, she could heal anyone. anything, even herself. but there were limitations, she couldn't bring back the dead.
jinx also had her own theories of how she ended up this way, she had a variant of shimmer that mutated her blood and it became one with her. she was shimmer itself, and she had also messed with the arcane.
with the hexgem, she had built a weapon of mass destruction, and she had fried off her own skin as a result of using it. she used runes to direct the hexgem, and it did what she intended it to do, but the arcane often had its own intentions as well. it was bizzare and she didn't question it, but why were only her hands affected? the ground below and around her at the time had been obliterated but she got away with nothing major. it was suspicious. she also healed viktor first, which was strange because she'd never met him.
"you brought viktor back from the dead, what's the difference?"
"viktor wasn't dead, he was dying. big difference." the whole time they spoke jinx never quit doing what she was doing, which was drawing on the wall. caitlyn ignored the aggressive shapes that were now incorporated into the cell wall.
one thing she hadn't yet tested, if jinx tried to, could she heal her own mind too?
she hadn't attempted yet.
"just try to." caitlyn wanted to see it with her own eyes, she'd seen people be saved by jinx—well, by her blood. she hadn't been let out of her cell since the first day—countless times. caitlyn also theorized that when jinx did it herself it could be stronger.
she had to try.
so she dragged jinx away from the wall she was so comfortable on and went to visit her mothers corpse.
"i already told you, i can't do anything." jinx reminded caitlyn as they arrived where they were headed, vi was already there.
jinx saw vi, "tch." she looked away from her.
caitlyn held out a knife, clearly indicating what would happen next.
jinx obediently extended a finger and caitlyn sliced it open, drawing blood from her.
jinx strut to the body, and did running fingers up her arm until she smeared her blood onto the stiff skin of the corpse.
1 minute. nothing.
5 minutes. nothing.
10 minutes. nothing.
"told ya."
"back to the cell." caitlyn grabbed jinx and started leading her back.
"how long has it been?" jinx suddenly asked.
"that's not important."
"it was summer when i first got here, now it's fall." she probed and stopped walking forcing caitlyn to stop as well.
"it's been two months."
"i need to get out, you can't lock me up like an animal. you need me, and i've been cooperating."
"we can, and we will. we don't need you, we need your blood, now come on." caitlyn heartlessly trudged jinx forward, continuing on her way. jinx stopped them again.
"i wont give you my blood anymore! i can't stay locked up!" she shouted. caitlyn turned around and grabbed jinx's face between her fingers, making her look right into her eyes.
"then we'll take it. you have no bodily autonomy here, it's open season on you now. we will extract blood from you for the rest of your fucking life! you can expect to be used and tested often, we need to know how you got this power in case you die, we can recreate it. do you understand, you're piltovers experiment, first one ever and when we find a way to cure everything! even death! you'll be discarded and nobody will even know you were involved, do you get it?! this power didn't pardon you for your crimes, you were just lucky!" with caitlyn loosing control of herself, vi finally intervened.
she separated caitlyn from jinx, "i'll take her to her cell. you just—chill out for a minute yeah?"
vi started pushing jinx away and towards her cell, leaving caitlyn behind still fuming.
"is it true?" jinx spoke.
no answer.
"they're going to turn me into a lab rat? for the rest of my life huh?" they kept walking.
"and you're ok with that?" now they stopped in front of the cell door, jinx waited for vi to say something.
"i believe you'll be able to leave on good behavior at some point, you did kill a lot of people." vi finally answered, jinx began to think she became mute.
"so did they." she pointed out.
"yes but you nuked the councilors, there wasn't really much i could do to vouch for you." vi tried so hard to connect with her like she had with powder before everything went to shit, but it was useless. jinx was heavily guarded, and from a prison cell it'd be a lot harder.
"their kill count far exceeds mine, but they only kill zaunites so it's fine? and you're on their side even now?" although her voice was calm, she was a twister of emotions inside. her own sister, was against her.
"just relax okay, i can bring you whatever you need or want, i will visit you everyday. i will even bring ekko to visit you sometime?" vi threw her a bone.
ekko? jinx hadn't heard that name in years.
"you heard what your girlfriend was going to do to me." jinx stated, she only needed confirmation this one time.
then never again.
"she's just pissed about her mom, she won't really do all that!" vi chuckled, like what jinx said was the funniest joke ever told, her cupcake wouldn't do that!
"leave." jinx cut vis illusion of happiness short.
"what?" jinx got in the cell herself and closed the door, the cell locking with a click sound.
"get the fuck out." vi figured she touched a nerve somewhere.
“i'll visit tomorrow."
"don't bother. i won't see you." jinx said nonchalantly and turned her back to continue drawing on the walls.
vi exited, confused.
she finally realized what jinx meant when she came to visit the next day, she had to register and wait as a visitor.
when the guard came back he informed her that jinx was refusing to meet her.
vi still came back everyday to attempt it, but jinx refused every time.

Chapter Text
with no other alternative vi went to caitlyn to ask how jinx was doing, to which caitlyn told her she was cooperating with them still and that other than being tired of being locked up, she was fine.
it couldn't have been farther from the truth, jinx was not cooperating and every time they came to take blood from her she would fight viciously—in the span of a couple months she'd killed three people, people who came into her cell to take her blood. everytime she fought she'd get subdued eventually and forced to concede.
after a while they hooked her up with multiple wires stemming from her spine, shoulders, ribcage and thighs. she was connected to a machine 24/7 and blood was drawn at the push of a button.
so time went on like that, vi was allowed to visit but it was useless if jinx refused to see her.
they made her blood into medicine, and were ready to market it. because how could a cure to every ailment to exist ever be free?
they'd extracted from jinx so much blood that they had a blood bank, just for her.
they'd also used a lot of her blood for experiments, jayce took the lead on that one. he'd seen a miracle firsthand, but jinx was a terrorist. they wanted to see if they could do blood transfusions on people with jinx's blood, to see if the patient would develop abilities like jinx.
the experiments failed. the person who received the blood transfusion died not long after, when they did an autopsy, the results were...abnormal.
the man was healed from her blood, but there was something else within jinx that corroded his blood and organs—causing his death.
it was magic, but nobody called it that. how could they when the blood came from somebody with no ounce of magic in them?
the shimmer in her, multiplied by her use of hextech that created an anomaly within her, but somebody who didn't have the same variant of shimmer as jinx could not replicate her ability.
so jayce got to work.
jayce experimented with shimmer, he injected ten people with the same variant of shimmer that jinx had. they all died within 24 hours, and one lasted 30 hours.
it was unbelievable to him.
he had to go talk to jinx. what was actually going on with her?
so he marched over to where she was held, and waltzed right in.
he was a councilor, jinx would see him even if it was against her will.
it was, she refused to talk to him.
"i need to know how you did it, how did you inject shimmer and become what you are?" he'd asked. silence. not even movement, she was chained to the wall and not a rattle was heard.
"i know this must hurt you, being here. we need you alive until we can recreate your ability in someone else, then you can be let go, don't you want that? look, i've injected the same shimmer variant into ten people and they all died."
"i didn't do anything." she spoke softly, like she had no voice left.
it was half true, it had been rough. she fought hard, every time and her energy was completely depleted.
jinx was attached to a machine that drew blood from her at the push of a button. the button wasn't even in the room with her, it was with caitlyn. they would draw blood every couple hours, only stopping a little at a time so she didn't die.
"you didn't do it? then, it was done to you? what did they do? who did it?" jayce, always getting an inch and he'd take a mile. his questions were obnoxious, but she was in a cell permanently and had nothing but time.
"it was surgery, done by singed."
"we used 100 milliliters on each patient and they died, how much was used on you?"
"shit ton." he looked confused at her answer.
"you don't know? it had to have been less since you're still alive."
jinx finally stood up, she walked towards jayce and grabbed onto the bars, getting in his face.
he was a bit freaked when he saw her, she was dressed in her underwear only, wires attached to her arms and her back, her hair was chopped messily and her eyes were dark and sunken in.
she was a sight, for sure.
now she was in his face, pink eyes locked on his own.
her face, her look, her eyes. she was hypnotic, jayce felt dizzy. her eyes were deep and pink—and so tired , he could get lost in them. his trance ended when she began to speak, he was highly anticipating what she would say.
" you're a sick fuck aren't you ?" jayce stepped back, obviously shocked.
what did she say? "what?"
"you feel good , keeping me here for what? murder ? you just admitted to killing ten people, you saw how they died too. the shimmer, it hurts —you're not saving anyone. you are torturing them to death, but you persist."
no, no he's a good guy. she's a bad person, she kills people . "but you kill—"
"so do you. ten people so far, you've almost caught up to me." as she spoke she reached her hands out past the bars, grabbing a fistful of his shirt, pulling him closer.
"you want to lock me up, use me, and torture me? fine, you've already done that. but you come here, ask for my help and pretend like you're such a good fucking guy, we both know it's not true. sending out orders that will kill someone is murder even if you don't do it yourself, and you still think you're good. you're sick , sicker than me even . i've never pretended to be a saint." she spat the words in his face with the most venom she could muster, jayce was visibly spooked, her words spoken with such utter hatred and they reached him.
once she'd finished talking she let him go and retreated to the corner she was previously in.
jayce walked away, shaken to his core by her words and left to think for the rest of the day.
he decided to speak to viktor, his partner and take his opinion. he told viktor of the conversation with jinx, and he only nodded to signify that he heard.
"i mean, she's crazy. she's been in there for months in isolation, so she's gone crazy. we're using her blood and the shimmer to make a vaccine to heal people! and obviously we have to test it first, and those people! they all volunteered, they signed waivers before we did anything." jayce rambled on.
viktor just listened.
"what do you think, viktor?"
"i want no part in it."
"what? we always talked about helping people, and now we actually can." jayce insisted.
"jinx healed me, i am eternally grateful for that. i can't be ok with how you all treat her, and killing people is never the solution." viktor said simply before standing and walking away.
jayce was stumped.
he halted all experiments until further notice.
•
jinx received a unexpected guest, someone she'd never met before.
the woman was black and smelled of nobility and privilege. ugh.
"jinx, i'm Mel. i wanted to speak to you." she spoke elegantly too, and jinx wasn't even sure she was trying to be, that was probably her default.
"that's everyone these days. get on with it." her blood was being drawn again, and she laid down.
"how are you?"
"do i look well or something? you come to make me worse?" jinx couldn't help her suspicions, nobody ever came to see her out of goodwill. she didn't have access to a mirror, either.
"i wanted to offer you something."
"throw a bone at a starving dog and it'll bite, right?" jinx might've been a prisoner but she'd never lost herself. probably something to do with the fact that she'd been healing herself lately.
"do you want out?"
a pause. "what do you want from me that you can't just take by force? as you have been."
"that's caitlyn. i voted for you to receive more humane treatment, i couldn't do more for you beyond that."
"whatever." the blood draw had ended and jinx let out a sigh of relief.
"i need you to kill someone, and i'll let you out. but you'll have to leave, forever." mel finally got to her point, admittedly she was a bit nervous. she came to jinx out of desperation, and jinx seemed to not take it seriously.
"that's easy, but why?"
"it's my mother, she wants to take over piltover and merge with noxus. she'd do anything to get her way." jinx was turned off immediately.
"mommy issues aye? hm. can't do it."
"why?"
"there's literally nothing i want more than seeing piltovers demise. with your warlord mom on the loose, it's only a matter of time before im free." jinx explained, a grin playing on her lips.
"my mother will find out about your ability and keep you locked up all the same. she's more barbaric, she'll be a lot worse."
"she's more barbaric? than you? i find that hard to believe." jinx thought she'd have better chances with a noxus warmonger than piltover any day.
mel was uncomfortable from being rejected so many times, so she stood up and left. she'd have to figure something else out.
•
jinx didn't know how long it had been, or what was happening outside.
she just knew, whatever karma she'd collected from her crimes was being paid. time blended together, when she wasn't being sucked dry she was sleeping.
when she was awake she would meditate, not for inner peace or any of that bullshit. when she really concentrated she could feel her blood, pumping hot with magic and shimmer.
she learned about herself being trapped in isolation for so long, things she probably couldn't figure out had she been free.
she could do more with her blood than heal, she could adjust the amount of shimmer in her bloodstream at will, and quell the magic completely for a while. she'd been doing it for a long time now, she didn't know how long exactly without a calendar of a clock.
she would adjust her shimmer levels when they began to draw blood, making her healing blood vaccine into a shimmer vaccine, meaning the healing properties were gone and whoever landed with that batch of blood would die a painful, slow death.
it was her revenge, she was sure that when they found out what she was doing they would kill her. that was what she hoped, she wanted that.
as for that mel woman, she carried with her a stench of superiority and jinx didn't like it one bit.
becoming a slave to a noxus war queen sounded about as appetizing as her current situation, but she didn't want help from that woman. she didn't want to owe her anything, and jinx still had some pride left in her.
she was a zaunite through and through, and she wouldn't be caught dead helping a privileged bitch from noxus.
she'd rather die with her pride intact.
time just blended together, jinx never moved spots. she stays in the same place, no visitors, no one to talk to.
just the voices in her head, but they're nice now, she speaks to them.
it was mylo usually, and now silco.
but she liked speaking to them, she was less lonely speaking to her dead family. not only that, they seemed to be on her side now.
silco was the one who told her to meditate, and mylo would prickle her neck when he noticed something about the shimmer—magic ratio in her blood.
caitlyn at this time was storing jinx's new blood batch into the blood bank. she let the people there talk care of it, every drop priceless.
she ran her errands, picked up vi and was gonna go on a date with her when she was called to go to the nearest hospital urgently.
when she got there it stunk of death, "what the hell is going on here?!"
doctors ran to her, catching her up.
"we don't know! we started treating people like normal with the newest vaccine and after an hour or so they all died! we have no idea why, we're conducting tests and trying to save a few, the only thing they have in common is that they all took the vaccine."
caitlyn as confused as she was, ordered for the use of the vaccine to be stopped, she went to jinx's blood bank where she confirmed that the blood used at the hospital was indeed taken from here.
the blood was also on rotation, meaning the blood extracted sooner was used in that order, what could have gone wrong?
caitlyn went to where jinx was being held, vi was still with her and she was pretty excited to finally see jinx.
they took an elevator to the deepest level where jinx was held, about four guards followed them.
"jinx!"
"fag."
"explain yourself!" caitlyn was beyond angry, more than 50 people had died in the hospital today.
"explain what?"
"you know what! You're blood is killing people!"
"using my blood on other people is unsanitary, psycho." jinx was purposely beating around the bush.
"shut the fuck up and tell me what you've done!" caitlyn opened the cell door and dragged jinx out of it, holding her face.
jinx was still attached to the machine in the cell, caitlyn's actions made the wires pull and she finally detached from the machine.
the feeling of all those tiny little needles embedded in her flesh being ripped out made her shudder—chills that went through her whole body before settling in her brain and making her dizzy. the feeling was as unpleasant as you'd think.
"i didn't do anything, isn't it possible that the effect just wared off and my blood is simply shimmer now? jeez cupcake, use your brian." caitlyn was enraged that even in this situation jinx could still tease her.
that made sense, they didn't know anything about her ability including how long it would last.
that's when caitlyn saw it, the holes left on jinx's body from where the machine was attached to her were healing themselves.
"liar!" jinx noticed it too, but it didn't matter. she would die anyway.
"does it matter? you can't use me for anything now," she said while smiling so big, her cheeks strained. she felt so, so happy in this moment. she won, so small and she would die for it but a win is a win. "suck it, cupcake!" she snarled.
caitlyn's teeth were bared, i guess i haven't been ruthless enough.
"you'd think after two years, your attitude would've improved. i've been thinking lately, jinx. we can't seem to find any way to recreate your ability in anyone else, no matter how many times we try." caitlyn bent down to be eye level with her.
"then i thought, if you had a child, wouldn't the child be born with the same ability?" a big, wicked grin made its way to caitlyn's face when she saw jinx's expression finally change to a frightened one.
no, no, no. jinx didn't want this, she just a dug herself into a deeper grave.
she thought caitlyn had been ruthless in her revenge already, but now due to her disobedience—they were going to forcibly impregnate her. then god knows what happens to her baby.
jinx felt it building, sizzling up in her body and taking over. the anger she'd felt this whole time being locked up, and the rage of hearing what caitlyn just said snapped a rope in her and she could no longer control herself.
she jumped up, sprung into the air and tackled caitlyn to the floor.
jinx felt vicious, she wouldn't hold back now.
jinx dove her fingers into caitlyn's eye socket, screams erupted from caitlyn's throat, the guards around easily scooped jinx away from caitlyn and threw her back in her cage like an animal.
caitlyn was escorted out while vi stayed behind.
jinx was still heaving in her cell, recovering from the rush and being thrown like a ragdoll.
"Vi."
"jinx, all you need to do is cooperate and they won't do any of that, ok i promise—"
"i need you to kill me." jinx cut her off, she was being tortured everyday and caitlyn's solution was to make her reproduce a child for the same ability.
this ability seemed more like a curse now, and jinx had to stop it before she could affect anyone else.
"i can't do that, you'll live well if only—"
"no, vi. your cupcake wants me dead, but she can't kill me so instead she just wants me to suffer. i'm being tortured everyday, vi! please, kill me." jinx was begging now.
jinx got closer to vi, "you have to shoot me. it's the only thing i can't heal from." jinx pointed to her head.
"i'm not killing you." vi was stupefied that her sister was serious about it.
"you have to vi, you heard her. she's gonna breed me and use the child for the same thing, i can't let that happen. please," jinx could tell vi was backing away, "vi!"
"vi, please! it hurts, every time they take blood it hurts so much i want to die so please! i can't imagine what they'd do to a child!"
"no, jinx they wouldn't do that—"
"they've been doing it all this time, vi! can't you see it?! caitlyn has been doing it to me for two years!" jinx couldn't help but start crying hysterically, "don't you care about me? even a little?" softer now.
the more vi rejected her, the more doom she felt. eventually she stopped talking altogether, talking to vi was like speaking to the wall.
she retreated to the end of the room, furthest away from vi before vi got the hint and left.
jinx didn't know, but the plan to breed jinx was in the works even before today. while jinx felt like her world was ending—and she truly didn't think it could get worse—vi thought it would be a good thing.
jinx wouldn't be so lonely with a child, or maybe even a partner.
caitlyn told her she'd have a partner, and the child would be able to stay with her. jinx would have a family, and vi couldn't save her so at least she wanted jinx to be happy.
there were two crucial things vi didn't know, caitlyn was lying to her. jinx wouldn't keep a partner or the child, and that no partner thrown atop of you from a prison cell could ever be a good thing, much less make anyone happy.
Notes:
if you wonder why it's confusing to keep up with how much time has passed, it's on purpose bc jinx has no way of telling time where she is being kept. so between every interaction where they say months or years had passed, that's how much time has passed since the last interaction. hope you enjoyed.

Chapter Text
vi began to realize caitlyn's intentions weren't pure—finally, when caitlyn told her she'd have to find another inmate to send to her sister after the incident. not a single decent man was considered, all the men who could be chosen were old, violent and dangerous people.
caitlyn lost her eye, and wore an eyepatch since that day. she began planning to breed jinx ever since they had to throw away all the blood from the blood bank. it was poison, and useless now. although jayce kept a bit to study it.
jinx wallowed in absolute despair for a while, and she tried to find a way for the shimmer to fry her from inside but she just couldn't die.
she'd cried for days, or longer. that being said, she felt more alive than ever now that she wasn't being sucked dry. her blood was useless to them now, now they wanted her womb.
she almost wanted to claw it out from inside.
janna, she really fucked everything up.
•
vi had seen the state jinx was in, and she began to doubt everything caitlyn ever told her.
but vi wasn't smart enough to rescue her sister on her own, she recognized that.
so she told caitlyn she'd go shopping while she was at work, and headed to the undercity.
she visited ekko, who was happy to see her.
the exchanged pleasantries before vi asked if they could speak in private.
"i need your help."
"yeah, anything."
"i need your help breaking jinx out of prison...please?"
vi explained the situation, how jinx healed viktor, then she was imprisoned and was cooperating by donating her blood. then she stopped cooperating and they took her blood by force, then the recent events with the blood bank, and finally about caitlyn's plans to breed jinx so she could birth a child with the same abilities as her, then harvesting the child's blood all the same, and then the fact that they wouldn't get rid of jinx, she'd have to birth more children in case one died or in case one wasn't born with the ability.
ekko was gonna say no pretty quickly, but as vi went on even he knew how inhumane they were treating her. killing her would be a mercy.
he didn't forgive her, definitely not but this whole time he thought she was already dead, and he made peace with that. now however, she was alive and she would be tortured for the rest of her life.
it wouldn't be easy, but jinx's life was on the line.
so he began planning, they were gonna bring a man to jinx soon and ekko saw that as his opening. he just needed to be chosen. then they'd bust out together, and vi would help them.
so they moved forward with their plans, they dyed his hair black and roughed him up, then vi took him to where the inmates were kept.
caitlyn had been with vi after that, and she begged caitlyn to let her pick her sisters partner. caitlyn knew they were all awful candidates so she simply said yes.
finally, caitlyn had a one on one with ekko, who was going by dallin.
he avoided eye contact, out of caution that caitlyn might recognize him but even he couldn't recognize himself.
"has anyone explained your new job to you?" caitlyn started.
"no, i was just picked." he changed his voice slightly too.
"i see. you have to impregnate someone, is that ok with you?"
"you're asking me now? who is it and why?" ekko played his part of a convict well.
"she's a prisoner here, you'll probably know when you see her. we need her to produce as many children as possible." she explained all with a straight face.
"can't you inseminate her?"
a creepy smile formed on caitlyn's face, "i also want her to obtain the most amount of trauma from this experience." ekko winced at her words. he wouldn't do it, but it still sucked to hear it.
"what'd she do to you?"
"she murdered my mother, i want her to be absolutely ruined after this." caitlyn felt very justified in her actions, obviously. she didn't even bother to hide her own demented desires.
"and the child, what'll you do to it?"
"that's classified."
"won't it be my child too?" caitlyn paused to think, she hadn't thought of this aspect. she didn't think anyone would care what would happen to the child, just take the benefits and go.
"you'll be able to visit the child." she ultimately decided having at least one parent for the child wouldn't be too bad.
"and what do i get if i do this?"
"you'll be free of your sentence, and the council will provide you a house and a job." finally all the cards were on the table, ekko simply put out his hand—grimy and scaly hand. all part of his costume of course.
caitlyn didn't shake his hand, "so, shall we go?"
caitlyn took out a pill and handed it to him.
"what is that?"
"just take it, you'll need it." under caitlyn's watchful gaze, he swallowed the pill.
what could it be for?
they could already hear rustling from her cell, ekkos heart sped up.
the urgency, the risk of this entire operation felt heavy on his shoulders.
when they arrived in front of her, caitlyn opened the cell doors.
"Dallin, step inside." she commanded him, he was gonna follow through until caitlyn left so he began to move.
when he stepped inside, he was shocked to find two big burly men were already in there, holding jinx down.
"oh fuck, it's jinx." he sounded shocked, playing his part.
now the guards should be leaving, any moment now—
"you can start." caitlyn's voice reverberated through his ears.
his heart lurched to his throat, he felt as though caitlyn had just grabbed him by the neck and started suffocating him.
"what?" he asked dumbly, caitlyn raised a brow. they discussed what he would be doing beforehand, so why was he confused now?
"fuck her." she clarified, since he might've not gotten the memo.
ekko was racking his brain, he didn't think it would be like this. not at all, but he was already here.
fuck, what do i do? what do i do?
vi told him about the way they treated her, he still didn't take her seriously enough because he never imagined this. he couldn't have ever imagined this.
"but—the guards, i can't—" he began.
"you won't get anywhere if she's loose, we've tried already. she killed the last guy, this is for the best. just do it." caitlyn's voice sounded like she was a boombox, each word tearing him open.
"but the guys—kill the mood. yeah i can't do it like that." get rid of her, just fucking say anything to get rid of her, he needs caitlyn to leave so he can talk to jinx.
"deal with it?" caitlyn was getting frustrated.
"what—what about rope? can't we tie her up? then she can't kill me." he was thinking so hard, so quick that he felt his head starting to pound in his skull. caitlyn nodded, the men holding her down started tying her up, appearently bounding her was always on the cards cause they already had rope on them.
this was all a form of torture, psychological and physical—keeping jinx on edge, not knowing anything—only that it was inevitable by having her chosen rapist in the room while this happened. ekko started to see the darkness, how caitlyn was purposely destroying jinx's mind this way.
jinx didn't make it easy for them, she screamed and kicked and bit anywhere she could, it was all so mortifying for ekko to watch. he was absolutely sick to his stomach.
ekko felt bile shoot up his throat at what he was seeing—jinx, beat into submission was finally bound tightly, she couldn't even wiggle.
the burly men stepped out of the room, ekko saw caitlyn smiling down at a completely defeated jinx.
he used to think jinx was crazy, but caitlyn took the cake in that department. ekko was even more appalled that she didn't leave.
"can we have privacy?" he pleaded, one last time.
"no. i need to see you do it." ekkos brain was in overdrive, think of a solution. think of one!
what the fuck even is this?! when he said he'd help bust jinx out of prison this wasn't even a possibility, now he has to actually rape her?!
ekkos brain was short circuiting, his usual quick wittedness was gone, because he'd never planned or expected for something like this to happen. Vi never said it would be this dire of a situation, she said it was bad and they were taking jinx's blood by force, but this was light years away from being anything like that, that could only mean Vi lied to him and wanted to fuck him over—but that was unlikely, cause he had no beef with vi and she looked genuine. so that had to mean that vi's girlfriend, and jinx's tormentor; caitlyn, had been lying to vi. vi didn't know even half of the extent to which her girlfriend was torturing her sister. ekko felt like his brain was exploding, the plot twist was occupying his mind when really he needed to find a way to save his ass; with jinx and his morals intact.
jinx was tied up and on the floor, she was whimpering and crying to herself.
jinx couldn't fucking believe this was happening, she had been in isolation for so long, the one thing she was grateful for was that at least she kept her dignity—but now, now she was completely, utterly, defeated. she didn't even look at the man in the room, she couldn't properly comprehend how she got to this point. she wished so badly, that she never touched viktor, then caitlyn would've killed her and that would be it.
maybe i should just accept it.
these whole two years of constant abuse and mistreatment, she never lost her spunk. she never said caitlyn's name, always called her cupcake, or piltie, or faggot. now she wanted to say her name, beg her, plead for her life.
"dallin, proceed." she barked, ekko almost puked and jinx just kept whimpering like a hurt dog.
dallin, his name is dallin.
caitlyn! please stop.
jinx wanted to shout, to scream, to lash out and nuke everyone around her but she couldn't do any of it.
the words, 'sorry caitlyn, please stop' refused to come out of her mouth. she was thinking it, praying it in her mind but the words didn't come out.
no. you won't plead for your life, jinx. not to her.
the moment you do, she wins.
you'll get through it, you'll survive this. and that'll be the best revenge.
"ma'am, i can't do it like this. there's—it's nerve wracking." the man spoke, jinx could hear him.
"that's why you took that pill, dallin."
he didn't want to do it, he really didn't want to do it.
he was gonna back out, he couldn't do it, i can't do it—
"it's ok." he heard her raspy voice, "dallin, right? if you don't do it someone else will." her voice was hoarse from all the screaming and fighting. she breathed in deep, "she likes torturing me. but if i consent, it won't be so bad, right?" she was asking him genuinely—shaky voice and all, he knew what she meant. he was being forced to do this as much as her, she's asking for a truce.
she sounded so off—so broken.
it was him, or some other brute.
ekko couldn't control the feelings that were consuming him, the effects of the pill were starting to affect him.
he felt an undescribable sadness all over him, ekko thought jinx was dead. he made peace with never seeing her again, and to meet her again under these circumstances and knowing what he would be forced to do, he couldn't help but cry.
his tears went unnoticed, the pills effect grew stronger.
he reigned in, he glanced around the room then back to jinx.
she wasn't looking at him—couldn't, the way she was tied had her face down.
there wasn't anything in the cell that he could use to cover them—then maybe he could've fooled caitlyn—but no, there was no way around it. he had to do it for real.
this is fucked, so fucked.
he bent down to where jinx was and gathered her in his arms, she flinched and bit her lip hard.
"what'd ya say? be nice to me?" she whispered to him, her voice breathy, like she was begging.
she was begging.
she still wasn't looking at him, even though she technically could.
everything was fucked up, he couldn't believe what he was about to do but his brain hadn't come up with anything better.
if he refused to do it someone else would come in after, someone worse. plus after this he'd reveal himself and bust out.
"you're ok, i'll be...gentle." jinx sighed when she heard him, relaxing a bit.
to get started wasn't hard, she was on her stomach, and only had on her underwear. he lifted her from behind, her knees still tightly bound.
he fidgeted around her underwear for a while before pulling down.
he actually didn't know what to do, he'd never done this under normal circumstances and now this had him stumped.
he tried going inside but was met with resistance from her, which he understood completely.
jinx hissed, and made noise that meant she was in pain the more he went, when he was to the hilt she was panting.
he was still for a while before he moved again, jinx gasped under him at the sudden movement.
she was breathing heavily, "you ok?"
she took a minute to respond, "peachy." her voice was even raspier now.
he started moving back and forth, jinx stayed mostly silent besides a few whimpers.
very quickly he felt a heat start to rise in him, he kept up his pace, not wanting to hurt her further before he shot his load into her.
he pulled out immediately, he turned to caitlyn who was still watching.
"it's done." she smiled, stood up and walked out.
now they were alone, and ekko started to heave, the pressure was off but now he had to deal with what he'd done.
now he had to reveal that he was ekko, not dallin, and he just raped her.
he unbound her immediately, "jinx," she didn't move from the floor, even unbound. ekko grabbed her shoulders and hugged her hard. "how do you feel?"
"hurt. it hurts."
"jinx i'm so sorry," he started, he almost started to cry again. "i'm sorry, for that. for all of that, you need to get up. we're going to escape ok?" jinx stayed in his arms.
"who are you really, dallin?"
a pause, "do i know you?" she asked again.
jinx was a bit terrified, to see his face. it was hard not to be scared when dealing with thoughts and feelings she'd never had before, like the burning inside her that she'd never felt before today. it felt like aching, burning stings on her vagina, legs and abdomen. she felt slimy, between her legs and she wished she could shower to get it off. now, this guy seemed to know her.
"i'm...ekko." that got jinx to sit up, and look at his face.
"you don't look like ekko."
"i am, and i'm so sorry jinx." she put her hand up, probably meant for him to shut up.
"not your fault," she replied.
"i'm so, so sorry. i feel like shit, i planned to bust you out of here and i had no idea this would happen. vi and i made plans to bust you out, this wasn't supposed to happen jinx." he desperately explained himself.
"hey! it's not your fucking fault, ok?! jeez. lemme think damnit." she snapped at him, grabbing her head between her hands.
ekko didn't know what she was doing, but she did. she was trying to chanel her ability, heal herself right up. she was also looking for silco, or mylo, anyone with advice.
she found silco in the depths of her mind.
ekko was freaked the fuck out, not only did she act like it wasn't that big a deal—she was still naked and leaking fluid everywhere and she was muttering stuff at him, or past him, actually.
she wasn't talking to him, she was having a whole conversation with someone else who wasn't there.
both silco and mylo were, in the end, figments of jinx's imagination; they were powders way of coming out to haunt her, never letting her forget what she'd done to her family. now though, jinx and powder seemed to have merged again.
before it was powder versus jinx—versus the rest of the world. now the situation was that jinx was tortured daily, and no matter what powder and jinx were the same person—same vessel, simply different versions in time.
now the visions helped her, and kept her company.
her dead father was telling her something she'd never thought he'd say, even in her own mind.
escape. escape even if you die, escape.
death is better than this life, child.
powder and jinx were one in the same, any pain jinx felt everyday was also powder, and she knew what would happen if she stayed.
she'd be raped over and over again, forced to birth who knows how many children, then her children would suffer the same fate as her.
her options now were to escape, or die trying to escape.
while jinx had always been down for that, sometimes powder would instinctively make her fear death. now it seemed, even powder understood everything now. she relented, this isn't the same as giving up. if she gave up, she'd kill herself right here. no, she would fight, and if she was lucky she'd live to see her own freedom.
one thing was for sure, she wouldn't spend another day in this fucking cell.
jinx stood up, blood trailing down her thigh, thanks to gravity. she pulled her panties up and paced back and forth.
"ok so, did you come with a plan?" she asked.
"the plan was that we were gonna bust out, but technically no." jinx sighed.
"dallin, ekko, whatever. i cant stay here another day, so im gonna get out even if i die, and you'll have to leave without me if that's the case." jinx warned him, for her nothing is worse than this cage, and ekko would just have to deal with that.
"you're not gonna die," jinx walked to the cell door and tried to open it, locked.
ekko pulled out a pin he had snuck in.
"perfect." jinx started messing with the lock until it broke, pushing the door open. "we leave at night."
when night finally came, according to ekko who had been outside, they stepped out of the cell together.
there was a key to access the elevator, jinx picked the lock with the same tool as before.
as soon as they arrived at the top floor, a hooded figure grabbed jinx and covered her with a cloak. the hooded person lifted her head, it was vi.
"they won't see you as quickly with this. the rest is up to you." jinx said nothing to vi in response, not even a nod.
jinx advanced past vi and ekko followed after, she was prepared to do whatever it took to escape.
but she was winded, she hadn't been in real action for two years and she was assaulted not too long ago. her legs were still shaking and pain erupted from her movements now.
jinx glanced at ekko before advancing slowly, there was nobody yet.
after they turned a corner there was finally someone, a guard.
the guard immediately started his pursuit on them, rushing at jinx first with a baton.
jinx dodged his baton, grabbing it instead and hitting his head with all the force she could muster. a crack was heard when his head made contact with the floor, blood seeping out.
ekko was no stranger to violence but to see it happen so quickly and viciously—at least jinx is still jinx.
the commotion seemed to attract more guards, jinx grabbed ekkos hand and bolted straight forward, running from the guards.
it wasn't long before guards came at them from every angle, ekko and jinx fighting them off.
one of them grabbed jinx's body and flung it like she weighed nothing, when he came to hold her down she smiled at him evilly and spit blood right into his eye.
the guard just thought she was a real bitch for that, but his eye started burning after a second. looking down at her, pinned under him; she was smiling big and wide.
then the most excruciating pain he's ever felt took over his senses, her spit was burning him like acid.
he was gone before he even knew what happened. jinx pushed the body off her, standing up and fighting someone else.
she'd taken a knife from the guard she just killed, stabbing the next guard in the neck.
she took the knife out before the body slumped over her, blood spraying out of the open wound.
ekko was struggling against two guards at the same time, then one fell over limply, jinx behind him.
she pulled the knife out of the guards head.
more guards were on them, but jinx wasn't going to give up. she had suffered enough, and she wouldn't be caught again unless she died.
ekko had always known jinx as a psychopath, but this was a whole new level. she was dropping full grown men very quickly while sustaining injuries that would topple most normal people, she was fighting like a cat backed into a corner. getting hurt didn't matter to her, what mattered was getting out.
then they heard gunshots.
jinx and ekko covered themselves with the bodies around them, jinx peeking her head out to see what was out there.
she saw someone she hated, and ekko saw her change before him.
her eyes burned bright pink, so pink and so hot that it looked red. her arms were so tense the muscle flexed and...grew?
"Caitlyn!" she screamed that name, and in a split second she was gone. she was gone, sprinting to her target.
caitlyn shot at her a few times, missing everytime—or more like jinx dodged the bullet everytime. jinx made it in front of her, toppling her and securing her under.
caitlyn couldn't move at all, the shimmer in jinx's body had her roided up and her hold was steel.
"haa, cait. i'm so glad i could see you, one more time." jinx was heaving and gasping for breath and trying her hardest to not budge lest caitlyn gets free.
she was a horrifying sight.
with her free hand, jinx felt around caitlyn's belt and pulled a small pocket knife.
"mhph!" caitlyn tried speaking when jinx's hand clamped around her mouth.
"shut up. i'm gonna do what you've always wanted, aren't you excited?" jinx was waving the knife around, before she stuck it in her own wrist, right above caitlyn's face.
blood pooled at the wound and droplets of blood began to fall all over caitlyn, "you wanted this, right?" jinx asked, giggling like a child.
jinx was right in caitlyn's face, her face was sickly white from never seeing the sun; it was heavily contrasting from the deep red blood that had splattered over her face from he previous kills.
she was a horrifying sight, full of evil and hate in her eyes. eyes, so pink they looked to be glowing red.
caitlyn tried to move, to evade the stream of blood falling on her but she couldn't no matter how hard she tried.
jinx removed her hand from caitlyn's mouth and quickly shoved her bloody wrist in it, letting the blood seep into her throat.
"what are you doing?!" caitlyn said as soon as she could speak again.
"special councilor treatment, i do it to the sickest, evilest councilors, did it to your mom too." jinx cackled like she made the biggest joke, finally loosened up a bit.
caitlyn took the opportunity to flip them over, and now jinx was under her but she never stopped laughing.
"you fuckin—" caitlyn was cut off by the feeling of acid in her throat, and face and neck.
she could no longer speak, her throat felt like it was melting off. she coughed, trying to breathe in but she couldn't.
she fell over, jinx standing up beside her.
"being locked up for so long, i turned my blood into pure shimmer, combined with how much i fucking hate you—and ta da! you've got acid!" she was having a lot of fun, jinx doesn't think she's had this much fun in her life.
watching caitlyn struggle to breathe, her skin turned into a foul brown as the blood she dropped on her face sunk itself, seeping into her flesh and burning.
this is paradise.
watching caitlyn die a slow, painful death.
jinx picked up caitlyn's rifle a couple steps away, she aimed the gun at the remaining guards hassling ekko.
they all dropped, she'd easily killed about 20 of them at this point.
she walked back to caitlyn who was still alive but gasping for air, she aimed the gun and blasted a hole through caitlyn's kneecap.
caitlyn squealed in pain, but she couldn't scream or yell. just crying and squealing; like an animal.
"doubt you could still get up but, had to make sure yknow?" jinx grabbed caitlyn's full attention and searched her body for keys. when she found them, she winked.
then she walked away, easily opening the door to leave the prison.
"toodles cupcake!"
as soon as jinx was outside, she sprinted off; barefoot and all.
ekko had trouble keeping up.
he'd seen the whole thing, the whole show, and he didn't stop her or interrupt her even once.
jinx had been a victim of caitlyn for so long, he felt that she deserved to get her revenge however she wanted it; and clearly she liked it served cold.
jinx runs like her ass is on fire until she reaches the bridge connecting the two cities, once she crossed it and was officially in zaun she fell on her knees.
she slouched on her knees, looking down at her hands and wrist that was already healing.
ekko caught up to her and was behind her, she started to sob quietly to herself, muttering things under her breath.
he got closer and he could hear her.
she was in disbelief, "i'm free." it was a statement, she never thought she'd say those words, "i'm really free." she cried about it, relief consumed her and she cried happy tears.
she kept saying the words, they were sweet in her mouth and she'd never get tired of saying them.
jinx didn't actually think she'd escape alive, see she had tried to escape several times before. the only thing that brought was even harsher treatment and starvation.
but she escaped, and she got her revenge on caitlyn at the same time. it couldn't have been more perfect.
it was thanks to dallin-ekko, for helping her break out.
she found him behind her and tackled him into a hug on the floor.
"thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, i'm free, thank you, thank you," she kept repeating the words to him while hugging him tight.
she stopped speaking and just cried against his chest.
she passed out as she cried, it didn't matter where they were. she was free, she could rest now.
ekko, he would take care of her.

Chapter Text
ekko had picked her up after she passed out, carrying her all the way to his hideout on autopilot.
he was able to avoid people seeing them—since it was late and he knew the base like the back of his hand.
ekko didn't know what else to do, so he rolled jinx onto his bed and he took the floor. falling asleep was easy—he was more tired than he'd ever been. this whole thing was a emotional roller coaster, he's used all his social battery and now he just wanted to sleep.
ekko was startled awake, by hands gripping his throat.
his eyes snapped open, only to find jinx atop of him. her hands were on his neck, and he couldn't breathe. how could he forget that jinx was still dangerous?
her face was smiling, looking down at him. "you know i could snap your neck, right?" she's choosing not to kill him and smiling like a maniac at him.
"where did you take me?" she asked, menacingly.
jinx woke up in a bed, in a room she didn't recognize. she'd be damned if she gets captured again, it would never happen. she let ekkos neck go slightly, and he immediately took a breath.
"we're in...my house." he struggled to say.
"we in zaun?" jinx eyed him suspiciously, ekko nodded.
"why did you bring me here?" she let go of his neck, but stayed put. ekkos hurried breaths followed, filling the room.
"did you want me to leave you at the bridge so the pilties cought you again?" he spat, jinx looked surprised. "get off me, psycho!"
jinx slid off of him, scurrying to the wall and drawing her legs up to her chest—she suddenly became hyper aware. dallin, the same man who rescued her brought her to his house.
"am i—" safe? she didn't finish the sentence.
"you're safe here, but you're still wanted outside." he informed her, and she just nodded.
"so i—i can't leave?" she said it so low he wondered if it was meant for him to hear.
"you can leave. this isn't like what you think—i just couldn't leave you out there." that had jinx looking up at him, looking into his eyes.
trying to see if he was telling the truth.
"can i shower?"
"of course."

ekkos room was at the top of the tree, and downstairs was the room where he made all his inventions. while jinx showered he left his room, and went downstairs before leaving the house entirely, where people were bustling about.
he was stopped by a hand on his shoulder.
"...why do you look like that?" shit. ekko had completely forgotten about his disguise, and scar would've thought he was a different person if he hadn't spent years by his side.
scar wore his confusion plain on his face, the side of his lip quirked up.
"long story, i'll tell you about it later." he brushed scar off and went to the community kitchen where he got two bowls of oatmeal, and some snacks.
he made his way back without drawing too much attention—jinx was sprawled out on his bed, her damp blue hair was a mess atop of head.
she got up slowly once she heard him, shuffling around. ekko places the oatmeal in front of her, making jinx smile from ear to ear.
jinx happily grabbed the food, not wasting any time before she stuffed it in her mouth. "mhm! thanks dal, was starving over here." she kept munching, not noticing ekko stiffening up next to her.
"jinx. i'm not dallin, im ekko." that got her to pause, eyeing him strangely.
"you don't look like ekko." she kept eating, though less excitedly than before.
"yeah well...for the plan to work i had to dress up." he chuckled, and jinx completely stopped eating.
"so—you're really...ekko?" he nodded, and her eyes left him and settled on the floor.
"then..." her mouth opened and closed.
"do you want to talk about it?" his eyes were soft, and he knew she'd probably not feel comfortable around him now—but she was free. that meant she had the right to leave everything and him behind if she so wanted to.
"hah, which part? the part where i somehow doubled my kills while inside a cage? or the part where i totally murdered my sisters girlfriend? the part where i was enslaved and tortured under piltovers watch and nobody did anything? which part?"
they were silent for a while, "or, the part where you were forced to take my virginity?" he gulps, then nods.
"it's not a big deal, you know. if it didn't happen, then i'd still be there." the awkwardness laid heavy on them, he didn't know what to say.
"well let's talk about it, how do you feel?" he decided to be more relaxed, it was something both of them went through—together. it was important to him that jinx knew he'd never do that to her if it weren't for the circumstances caitlyn orchestrated.
jinx hesitated to speak, "i feel fine. honestly, it—it wasn't that bad. i heal real fast, and im free now. i couldn't have done it without your help, dal."
he grabbed her shoulders, making her look at him. "jinx, i'm ekko. dallin isn't real, it was just me—ekko." at that, jinx teared up. she tried to move her face away, but ekko held her in place.
the tears fell, and he just held her.
"what's wrong?"
she sniffled, "it's just—hard, to think about it if it's you," she paused to hiccup, "i just can't believe it's you—that changes everything."
ekko swallowed the words bubbling up in his chest, "what do you mean?"
"if you were just dallin then it wouldn't matter, i could stay with you—i would stay with you, because you saved me," she said sadly, "but—you're ekko, and i did terrible things to you. i can't stay—"
ekko cut her off, pulling her face closer to his, "yes you can. you can stay, forever if you want." he tried to say but jinx kept crying, shaking her head.
"we're in your base right? nobody here would ever accept me. i would only make problems for you."
"do you want to stay here?"
"only if i'm safe—only if im welcome."
it was a tricky situation. jinx felt deeply indebted to him, so much that she'd do whatever he asked. when she woke up, she acted upon the assumption that she was imprisoned yet again, and she would escape again if that was the case. but now?
she'd stay with dallin snd follow him to the ends of runeterra—but ekko? that was different. she'd killed many of ekko's friends, and almost murdered him a few times too. jinx figured the best thing she could do for ekko was leave him the hell alone.
and there was the aspect of what he had to do in order to help her escape, and she couldn't look at him the same as before. it felt wrong to keep being his enemy, when jinx thought about it—she couldn't hurt him anymore if she tried. she couldn't revert back to what they were—neither enemies or friends.
and jinx was aware, that she now looked at him with rose-tinted glasses, but she didn't care. she'd spent two years planning to escape—and she almost died a couple of those times, but never succeeded in escaping. neither in life or death, caitlyn always caught her.
dallin shows up, he does as caitlyn forces him to do and is gentle and quick about it—then breaks her out of the hell she's been trapped in. maybe it's just cause she's insane, but jinx finds it really romantic. something she'd never even thought of.
but she and ekko had history—a painful, bloody and tragic history. as much as she wanted to stay with him, she could never force that type of thing on anyone. how could she? jinx barely escaped a situation of that sort herself.
ekko was silent until he wasn't, he grabbed her hands, both of them and covered them with his own.
"why did caitlyn lock you up?" he questioned. jinx flinched—she didn't want to tell him. her ability was what got her in this mess in the first place.
she stayed quiet, mulling it over a little too long.
"i killed her mom." she said, not quite the truth, not quite not the truth.
but ekko was smarter than that, his hands moved up to grip her wrists, pulling on them. jinx was pulled towards him, closer to his face.
still nice, still handsome—just disguised as someone else.
"theres more, if that was it she would've killed you long ago." jinx cursed him in her mind, why did he have to be so smart? or maybe she got worse at lying?
ekko had seen it firsthand, the hatred between jinx and caitlyn astounded him. the only reason caitlyn kept her alive was because jinx was useful in some way—so useful she had even sent him in to breed her. it was her blood. something in her body.
jinx eyed him suspiciously, "you have to promise you won't do anything."
"i promise." she never stopped giving him the stink eye, but she continued nonetheless.
"it's my blood. i can heal anyone i touch with it. that's why she was taking it." she being caitlyn, but jinx refused to say her name.
ekko was dumbfounded, "then why did she want to breed you if they could just take your blood?"
"because i stopped cooperating."
"i thought that wasn't a problem, that they took it by force anyway."
jinx hesitated, "i found a way to change it, i made it into poison—and acid," she giggled, "leave a girl in a cage for long enough and she'll learn a thing or two about herself."
don't say it, "i ended up killing about fifty-some people with my poisoned blood. that faggot, piltie bitch had an entire blood bank full of blood they extracted from me, she was using it to treat patients and monetizing from it. fifty people died before they figured out i had modified it."
jinx expected ekko to be mortified—by her. instead he looked saddened, empathetic.
and angry—for her.
before she knew it, she was pulled into his arms. she happily hugged him back, "you can be our healer, then they'll accept you—if you want to stay of course." he said into her neck.
jinx bristled, feeling her cheeks flush. she could feel his breath, fanning her neck while he spoke.
she wanted to kiss him, she wanted to hold him close to her and become one with him.
"yes. i'll do it. i'll do whatever you want." jinx said it back into his neck where her head rested. she didn't even notice how breathy her voice had come out—but ekko did.
they let go of each other, but they stayed close. ekko watched her closely, he didn't remember her being this easy to read—but maybe two years in complete isolation makes you rusty.
her pale face was rosy pink, and her eyes were glued to his mouth. jinx wanted a taste—desperately.
she leaned in, moving to give in to her intrusive thoughts.
ekko didn't move, didn't move to meet her halfway—he also didn't move back.
then, before their lips could meet jinx seemed to remember who he was—who she was.
she opened her eyes and retreated, looking away from him.
ekkos thoughts raced a mile a minute, first from jinx leaning in and now, from her leaving him waiting. her retreating face filled him with inexplicable fury—and maybe ekko didn't know how to move forward but he knew this, he wanted her.
ekko stretched out his arms to grab her nape, pulling her to him and clashing his lips onto hers. he kissed her, pouring all his feelings into the kiss.
it was a heated kiss—jinx had only planned on pecking him. lightly. lovingly.
his kiss was intense, aching and desperate with a fervor she was not expecting.
she'd never kissed anyone, and neither had he—but as soon as he tasted her all his inexperience became an afterthought.
he just couldn't stop. she was sweet, and it was all elevated by the fact that it was her. she is jinx, she is powder, she is the love of his life.
he'd never admitted to anybody how hard he cried to himself when everyone said she died. the day she blew up the council was the worst day of his life.
jinx had occupied his mind ever since he killed her on the bridge—he thought he killed her. he left her there to die. he was devasted with his own actions, wishing he could've done something to save her.
when he found out she was alive—it was at the same time as she nuked the council, and later that same day was confirmed dead again.
just when he thought they had a chance at redemption, he lost her again.
and now she was in his arms, his lips ravishing her entirely.
he kissed her for so long she melted, turning into putty in his hands.
he remembered everything they'd been through, and he got worried.
he separated from her, and she let out a gasp for breath, panting. it was the hottest thing he'd ever heard.
his hands found her face, now looking into her eyes—into her mind.
"jinx, are we okay?"
her eyes turned glassy, before she climbed onto his lap and sat, taking his lips with her own again. he matched her and kissed back harder, slipping his tongue into her mouth—making her moan lightly.
he kept going, exploring her mouth—intending to draw out more of her moans. they were music to his ears, he'd never get tired of it.
the kiss had bewitched her mind. jinx could no longer think, there was only him. only ekko.
she seemed to be on automatic, her pelvis shifting forward until she was pressed tightly against him—jinx let out a gasp, she could feel him. all of him, pressed against her.
ekko groaned into her mouth at the sudden contact, eating up all her whimpers and moans.
they weren't virgins—technically—but their inexperience was palpable, neither of them knew how to proceed. they just knew their clothes had to be off.
it was easy, for jinx, she had just showered and was previously only in underwear. she was only wearing a random shirt she found laying around.
ekko grabbed the edge of the oversized shirt, breaking the kiss to lift it above her head, attacking her lips once again once he did.
his hands roamed all over her, while her hands stayed on his chest for support. he hastily traced her arms, her tattoos, leading to her neck then her shoulders. tracing her back, mapping her body and engraving it into his mind, and soul. when he got to her lower back, he squeezed her ass, causing her to yelp in surprise.
every touch on her body went ablaze, and jinx dealt with feelings she'd never had go before. like a heat gathering between her thighs, and wet—achingly wet in her core. she was dripping, she could feel it—and she felt needy.
she felt new sensations, and a new need, and it had to be met or she'd go crazy.
it became so apparent in her, she had to do something. she began rutting her exposed core on ekkos legs, moaning loudly as she did.
"haaa~mhmm! ekko..." she kept moaning and it just happened to tip ekko over the edge.
something in his mind snaps, his hands that were tracing her body sensually, lovingly had settled on her hips—gripping them hard and he began to move her back and forth, while snapping his hips so they'd make contact with her bare cunt everytime he pushed her forward.
the sensation of her simply grinding on him was maddening, and her sounds—gods, she was panting, repeating his name in moans like a mantra.
ekko found her neck and buried his face in it, nibbling and kissing. licking and biting, anything to make jinx react. a twitch, a jolt, a sound.
her hands, that had stayed on his chest had started to roam—down, until she reached his pants, tugging them down.
"ahh~ off—take them off." she moaned desperately, deliciously into his ears.
ekko couldn't wait to get his pants off, but he didn't want to push jinx off—so he pulls them off only halfway, jinx still atop of him and now she's transfixed on his cock.
he'd be embarrassed if it weren't for the fact that she was fully naked and he was still mostly dressed.
it didn't matter, neither of them could wait anymore.
he brings her face to his, kissing her again. jinx shifts her weight, aligning his dick to her entrance—ready to sink down when he speaks.
"wait, jinx—are...you sure?" he asks, breaking the kiss.
jinx wastes no time, going back in to kiss him ferverishly, "shut up and fuck me."
and as she speaks she sinks herself onto his dick, earning a gasp from him. she's silent besides small gasps that erupt from her throat as he stretches her open, and finally humming when she's fully sat, his cock buried to the hilt inside of her.
"fuck, jinx." he squints, his vision blurring from the sensation of jinx's tight cunt wrapped around him. he wants to move, to thrust, to rut into her but he holds himself back—with more effort than he thought necessary.
she's still, not moving, the feeling of her pussy being so full still being so foreign to her.
at least it didn't hurt this time.
while she's getting used to the feeling, ekko unintentionally snaps his hips, and jinx yelps at the sudden thrust—she's also overcome with an overwhelmingly strong sensation that makes her see white.
she begins to move, just like before when she was humping him. his cock moving back and forth inside her has jinx rolling her head back in pleasure, the filthiest moans yet leaving her mouth.
"come here." ekko half growls and brings her head back, smashing their lips together and she rides him slowly. the pace was slow, but it felt heavenly. simply being inside her had him feeling like the luckiest man on earth.
he couldn't get enough, her lips were swollen between his own lips, sucking and pulling with his teeth. she sped up.
the feeling was intense and all consuming, ekko thrust up into her—earning him a moan akin to a scream.
"ah~! hah~" he kept thrusting, getting those sweet moans falling out of her lips like waterfalls.
ekko grabs her hair, pulling it to expose her neck to him.
he sucks on it, leaving deep red marks on her pale skin. gods—she's sweet everywhere, her skin, her lips—he wonders briefly if her pussy would taste as sweet as the rest of her, but the moment calls him back by shocks of never ending pleasure stemming from where she's connected to him.
he pumps in and out rapidly, each push against her velvelty walls making him faster. she's so warm, so good—she's perfect.
"mhmm...you're taking me...so well baby." his words elicit even more filthy moans, as she's back to bouncing on his cock.
"mhmm! so good—ahh~! it feels so good ekko~!" jinx rides him faster now, more desperate all while her slick makes squelching sounds against his cock.
ekko watches jinx as she rides him—what a sight. she's completely exposed to him, tits bouncing, legs spread around him and unraveling on his dick. her hair is damp and random strands stuck to her face, her mouth is open from all the moans and her head swings back when he hits a certain spot with his cock head.
he pants, out of breath, "jinx. baby, i'm gonna come—"
her hips roll back and forth at her own pace, and ekkos' eyes roll to the the back of his head as he comes, finally being pushed over the edge just as her walls clench around him, spasming around his cock.
"ekko—ah! aahh~! haa.." she's panting in his ear, his lips coming down to suck on her neck again.
hot ropes of his load fill her up, he groans loudly and buries himself as deep into her cunt as possible, and she keeps moving just until the final drop was squeezed out of him. jinx slows down to a stop, before collapsing on him, capturing his lips with hers and kissing him deeply and slowly.
they kiss for a long time, never even taking out his cock from her cunt—he was half hard inside her.
she starts grinding on him again, making his hiss.
"shh its okay," she giggles, "i'm gonna make you feel good."
his dick bricks up again from her voice, and he moans.
the second round is slower, there's no sense of urgency or desperation. he's able to feel her entirely, her energy and her cunt drawing out a possessiveness he didn't know he had. he captures her lips.
"jinx—so good...you're so good." she rolls her hips harder, learning quick how to ride him and drive him insane. he's able to feel all his feelings the second time.
he wants to consume all of jinx, take her for himself and never let her out of his sight again. he wants to devour her, every inch, every crevice. he wants to explore her, while she comes all over his face.
his cock belongs in her, every time he bottoms out he hits her crevix—making her scream aloud. this time it's stickier, with his dick sloshing all their fluids together.
she comes first, mewling and squeezing him—she stops kissing him so she could moan loudly. "mmm coming, im ah~! ahhh~! ha~!" he eats her moans, kissing her again.
she slows down, but ekko picks up. his hips snap, pistoning back and forth into her cunt—completely overstimulating her. her moans are closer to cries now, and tears form at her eyes.
"ek—ekko! slow—haa~! slow down...pl—please—mmhmm~!"
he doesnt, he burrows into her faster chasing his own release.
"shh it's okay," he says into her ear, caressing her face, "just a little more baby...i got you, just a little more."
she clashes their lips together again, biting his lower lip viciously, as payback. it was all so good, ekkos mind went blank as he comes. ropes upon ropes of his cum shoot into her, and jinx is mewling his name to him. he didn't notice when he bit her back, but her lips were bleeding.
the taste of her blood made his climax feel impossibly stronger, like her blood was a drug or something.
he groans—no, growls her name as he experiences the strongest orgasms he's ever had. he digs in for more, kissing her again and feeling euphoric.
how could she be so addicting? he never wanted to let go.
he didn't let go, until jinx pushed him. she was stunning, filthy, sweaty and fucked out with bloody bruised lips.
she laid against him, completely spent. this time she eases herself off his dick, letting it go between them.
he feels as their mixed fluid pools on his leg, oozing out of her cute cunt.
"jinx...you're amazing." she giggles, settling her head on his chest—still clothed.
"and you're mean." she says, jokingly. he did lose control of hismelf, but not for that long. he reaches out to grab the forgotten unfinished bowl of oatmeal, and brings the spoon to her lips. she accepts it happily, opening her mouth for him.
he thinks briefly of how her mouth would feel around his cock, but he shakes his head.
another time.
for now he feeds her, and she's more than happy to be fed by him.
after eating, she gets up to use the bathroom and ekko begins to clean up. he takes the sheets off, and makes his way to his laundry. while he's walking he passes a mirror, and he's mortified to find out he forgot to take off his disguise—he didn't look like himself, ekko. he still looked like dallin, and he's horrified thinking of what they just did. did she only do it because he looked like dallin?
did she want dallin, not him?
his thought spiraled, but he started wiping off his disguise. he ran his hair over water, the black paint washing off easily revealing white locs.
he wipes his face and cleans every part of him—right there at the sink. he dries off a bit and then comes back to his room, where jinx is sat on his bed.
she's all smiles—until she looks at him. his heart breaks, and he just stands there. unsure of what to do.
does this change everything? he'd just been so happy, the happiest he's ever been. but now? your longtime crush finally sleeps with you and reciprocates your feelings only when you look like someone else?
it was like if a bucket of ice cold water was poured on him.
jinx seemed to see his expression change, and she stood up. wobbly at first, then she hugged him.
"ekko? you okay?" then he realized, she'd always moaned his name. not dallin, she knew it was him all along. he decided to not dwell on it and just say it.
"do you want me?" she stared up at him, smiling.
"wasn't it obvious?" she giggled.
"why did you look so surprised just now?" he couldn't help his anxious, beating heart.
her expression got serious, "it's just—it didn't feel real until now. now it's like...for sure. it's you. you're ekko." he didn't know if that was meant to make him feel better.
he shook her off but she grabbed onto him again, stubborn.
"what does that even mean?"
"it's just weird, ekko—the last time i saw you i almost died. and i thought you were dead. thought i killed you. seeing you—really seeing you...just threw me off." she stayed attached to him like a monkey, not budging even an inch.
"do you—" still feel the same? he didn't finish his sentence.
jinx finally let go, and looked away—and his heart sank. he didn't know what to expect, but if she rejected him now he'd go insane.
"i just—i think...i think i love you." she whispered. his mood changed instantly, he grabbed her face and kissed her.
he didn't care that it didn't make sense. didn't care that she only 'loved' him because he saved her. neither did jinx, she understood herself well. in those two years she hardly thought about ekko, too focused on her own survival to care. it was true that she thought he was dead, and she'd rather not think about how she killed him. could she really be in love with him after one night with him? who cares?
they certainly didn't.
she kisses him back, just as hard and wraps her arms around his neck, pulling him impossibly closer. he sucks on her lips, drawing more blood from her and losing himself on how good it felt. damn, was he turning into a vampire?
he let go, pressing his forehead to hers. she's panting again, smiling softly.
"i love you too."
Notes:
originally wasn't gonna continue this story, but i'm practicing writing smut for the newly nsfw timebomb fic im currently writing but i didn't want to fuck it all up with mid ass smut scenes so i practiced with this one.
it was important for me to write it semi realistically because i wrote them both as virgins originally so some inexperience was inevitable. that's why there's no cunnilingus or top or anything like that, like they're having sex for the first time and neither of them know what the hell they're doing. just winging it. this is also very based on my own experience (which is close to none lmao)
anyways i hope you enjoyed, i LOVE getting comments and feedback it is so fun!
